Thanks so much for this great idea, my sewing room has never been tidier! One thing I have changed is to use some scrap vinyl to make the back and the inner basket. This means that all scraps and cottons just slide in really easily and can be emptied without anything sticking to the sides. It’s so lovely my whole sewing group now have made at least one, sometimes two so each machine/serger has its own! Thanks again!

Hello, I like the video and all your cursing...lol.. If u want to make it easy to turn your project inside out, use a hair dryer to soften the fabric...It turns really easy.

I don’t know what kind of Singer you have, but the manual on my Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 says under maintenance that there is no need to lubricate this machine, so I’ve never oiled it. It’s important to stress that sewists need to consult the manual before doing any kind of maintenance.
