    You guys are literally making one of those cutie communities right here with your podcast. Like I feel connected to both of you and all the other pp's even though we don't actually know each other, but we just have this thing in common and it feels familiar and good. Like we're all just sitting in a coffee shop together (virtually), watching the game, ready to protect each other's backpacks. Thank you 🥰

    The community convo is so cute 😭 and so true. Online life keeps us in contact with people who only have same views as us..we pick our friends ect. I agree it feels so good to do a shared sport with the same ppl, or go to a coffee shop and see the same employees working. It’s comfy. So cute about the earth quake story and feeling connected to the ppl there now even more 🥺

    Rec sports!!!! YES! I played soccer until I was 18 and then just rejoined the team at 28 (with the same manager from when I was 18! He recruited me back!) and I feel like I have my identity back its insane. I can't believe I went 10 years without this community / sport. I feel like a kid again, I feel like I'm happier working from home for myself because I'm no longer searching for that water cooler community & I'm not questioning if I should join a church or something haha. We practice twice a week and have a weekly game and it feels perfect.

    1. i always spiral when i think too hard about how i never use my headrest while driving... glad i'm not alone!
    2. i did not vote for biden in primaries (was in the uncommitted movement for palestine) but i have decided to vote for harris in november. it has not been an easy decision. i really do feel torn, but i agree that trump will absolutely be worse for palestine than harris. i know a lot of folks who are still in uncommitted movement and are not voting for her. it's tough. thank you for talking about it! and for talking about the importance of defunding israel.
    i love this pod

    What’s your opinion on republican lgbt people? I come across them online sometimes 🙄

    • @avaoliveira04

      I hate comments like this. I’m gay, 19, and voting for trump. I have extremely accepting parents who are also voting for trump. My mom or dad will ask me about the girl I’m talking to in one sentence and then in the next talk about how although we don’t love trumps words he is the better option to mend our fallen economy. And also at the same time, I love this podcast like it genuinely makes me laugh more than any other podcast I listen to. There’s no need to eye roll at someone who is gay and republican just like I don’t roll my eyes at Cam and Taryn for voting for Harris. I wish we lived in a world where inclusivity wasn’t exclusive to people who agree with you.

      @madaleeX 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      @@avaoliveira04 trump has stated many many times that he’s against gay marriage, among many other things that go against lgbt people and that affect our lives/ will affect our lives if he wins. You can hate the comment all you want, anyone who stands for Trump is morally not a good person to vote for someone that believes and says the things he does. I couldn’t care less how you feel about it.

    • @madaleeX
      @madaleeX 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@gracewiggett5695 no one said you can’t have different opinions lol. I said that if you vote for Trump you’re just not morally a good person. That’s not “hating” on anyone, that’s just the reality of it. You should probably own that instead of crying about it.

    • @avaoliveira04
      @avaoliveira04 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@madaleeX It seems to me that trump is more indifferent on topics like gay marriage and things regarding the lgbt community. I promise if trump is re-elected gay marriage will not be reversed and in a super super hypothetical world where it was, trump is not an advocate for it. He simply has bigger fish to fry. Policy and politics aside what bothers me most about your response is how you assume my entire moral character based on one thing you know about me. That mentality is truly what is driving the division in this country and it is so awful, problematic, and disheartening.

      Same, Republican! But I respect everyone’s view. Doesn’t make me not like a person because of their political stance.
