I am glad to have heard what was said in the video. My easy pace does get slower many times and I always wondered if my body was breaking down instead of getting fitter. Thanks for the explanation!
By far one of the most useful videos I have watched in a long time on the subject of running. I'm in the middle of a heavy training block, my easy runs were getting progressively slower and I didn't know why. Thanks for providing the answers to questions I had been searching for quite some time!
Thank you thank you thank you. Been all in my head about what’s next after overtraining to end the year. Just gonna slowly work my way back up and continue with my new recovery, diet, and sleep habits.
Have found this even with MAF training. My MAF pace got slower initially but I realised it was because I'd really increased my mileage because the slow running meant I was able to run more often and further.
Can i ask something about your 10km Fundamental video about 1-2 years ago? How those sessions you do them in a training cycle? You need 7day or 14day cycle in order to put in the First Months: 1)Long Run, 2)Tempo-Treshold Run , 3)Speed-Hills . And in the Specific Period : You do in a Week: one 5km sess and one Threshold Sess + Long Run . And the Next Week: One 5km sess + 10km Sess + Long Run? I mean how you should put them in a schedule , because you cant put them all together I think..
Old man, my neighbour used to train without pacing, just walking and running hard. He managed 800m (1:58) and 1500m (4:03) at junior class. Don't worry about your easy pace, it can't be too easy, just focus your quality days.

i needed this. sometime i feel bad when i run by feel and see that my pace is lot slower than what plan prescribes
A 5km with your slower teenager will ensure you run slow without noticing and it is a beautiful way to spend time with your kid.
I'd love to do this, but my teenager is way faster than I am now!😢
Always appreciate your advice Jason.
Thank you thank you thank you.

Always sage advice, much appreciated! I truly needed this right now.

During my marathon training last year I ran by heartrate and my pace slowed throughout the plan. I'm only now getting my pace back.
I needed this.. ❤
And i always try yo overcome my pace every trained day..

My Garmin coach has my easy running pace at 7:04-7:40per km but my hr zone 2 pace is nearer 8:30-8:45per km. which should I follow?
Not Garmin
Use heart rate as the baseline. Change the settings in garmin from base on pace to HR
You should listen to your body.
You can alter the heart rate settings, too. The pre-set ones on Garmin are way off for me.
