I think you'd be surprised. I have not eaten Mc Donald's since 2005. I'm not a vegetarian. I just don't care for their food. I'm not alone.This is not the same quality as a long time ago.
I think the stereotype of vegans being healthy stems from the fact that back then to get a vegan meal, you would have to prepare the meal from whole foods and ingredients, but nowadays vegan options include really unhealthy options so it's basically equivalent to being an omnivore nowadays. As someone who oscillated between restrictive and binge diets, the biggest thing I learnt from healthy eating is that there's no shortcut to it aside from a balanced diet of meat, vegetables and carbs lol. Congrats on finding your birth dad and here's hoping you don't explode switching up your diet lol
Very happy to hear about your birth father. I did not know you were vegetarian now occasional meat eater. I love vegan cooking and when at home i cook healthy, vegan meals but will be flexible eating with friends or as a guest. It is great to be flexitarian.
I was vegetarian for ten years. I'm also reintroducing some fish and chicken into my diet again so that I can reliably get protein, though I don't really enjoy the taste of most meat except chicken nuggets :p Congrats on reconnecting with your dad too, I hope you have lots of good healing and quality time in your future!
Hello fellow Hondureño! My mom is from Honduras. I'm actually not that into Honduran food, but I do know of several dishes. There is sopa de mondongo (cow tripe soup), baleadas, yuca con chicharon, and enchiladas (different from Mexican enchiladas). Oh, and McDonald's birthday parties back in the day were the bomb! 😊

Congratulations on your first Happy Meal in 13 years! The Barbie set you unboxed was cute. I liked the Amy Winehouse dress the best but I also really liked the pink capri slacks. I love the Generation Girl face on the doll.
I hope McDonald's doesn't give you indigestion..lol. I think of eating meat the same as eating a plant. They're both living things that we end the life of & eat to stay alive, just like all the other species on the planet. But i get it...I don't like certain meats either.
McDonald’s is gross I can’t eat it. Not because it’s fast food but because I went through chemo and one day I smelt it. It just makes me want to get sick. I didn’t eat it much prior to cancer anyway
