Brooklyn my daughter Jordan lives there but I've got Osteoarthritis in both of my knees so I cant go visit her there yet because I can't do all the walking yet but I'm taking the Tirzepatide shots for weight loss so that I can have knees replacement surgeries then I'll be able to go visit her there so far I've lost 22lbs in my first month I've doing the shot.
I live in the Philly area so I've been coming to NYC on day trips (hop on the Septa train to Trenton and then NU Transit train to Penn Station) almost once a year since the late 1980s but I never really explored/went to the West Village. That would be nice to see! I did go to The Met and JG Melon right after the city opened up after Covid. I think there were only 6 other people on my subway car in the middle of the day!
I loved this episode so much. Your New York City content was originally the reason why I subscribed. It's really exciting, especially for me as a foreigner.
I am not going to move in NY, but I like to watch blogs about different countries. Thank you for showing the City not only outside but inside too. It's interesting! And even cozy sometimes, especially inside some small vintage shops.
I actually really love these. I love the sightseeing and what you can do all around NYC. I always like to see what you can do at no to low costs in the city.
Fantastic video❤absolutely love your evolution. This series is taking you to your dreams. Would love to get into Dumbo & The Highline. Sending love & gratitude from California
Alexis, I loved this. I'm Australian and have never been to the USA. I think New York would be a great starter trip but I struggle to visualise what it's actually like there. I really like this new style video from you, it really helped with my curiosity!
loved this video, this is my area!! lol i did a double take when you left the met and said you were going to niche shop before butterfield and the park because it's so out of the way!!!
Alexis- you're one of the few vlog channels I've consistently watched. I love your whole vibe. I really appreciate that you don't use your vlog to try to showcase the same "lifestyle" content that a lot of other people do. There's only so much lo-fi jazz over B-roll I can take lol.
Love the vlog Thanks for sharing,I like this style it is a lot like the TH-camr " Newyorkplease" I am subscribed to you both,I live vicariously through New York TH-camrs
Hello Alexis, Great Video Guide about getting around in New York delivered in your Trademark Husky, Strong New York Accent. Who's filming you, is it one of your roommates? Keep up the great work! From London UK 🇬🇧

@@alexiseldredgeNew BF is the videographer is my guess…only because of that you look so pretty sign in that cafe - you had a sparkle! Good for you and good for you keeping him a secret if that’s what you want to do.
I know it was just a slip of the tongue, and I don’t want to be “that person” but Sunflowers is Van Gogh 😊 Also , love The Met rooftop! And, as a non-resident, when the museum was pay what you can for everyone, we would go, pay $10, and just head to the rooftop on occasion to hang out for a bit!
I actually did mean Monet! The full title of the painting is Bouquet of Sunflowers and it’s the one I showed in the video! I didn’t realize Van Gogh had a sunflower painting as well
@@alexiseldredge Well look at me learning something new! I always thought Van Gogh Sunflowers was so beautiful and so famous that I didn’t even realize that painting was Monet! And he’s my favourite! 😮😳 But I am no expert, obviously, so it’s a learning day for everyone!
I love the video. But I have to get one thing off my chest: I live in the second largest city in Germany and I'm just completely flabbergasted that there is NOWHERE graffiti sprayed on the buildings in your video. Almost every building in Hamburg is covered in graffiti and I wonder how NY does it?

Eric Adams doesn't live in Gracie mansion. Im going on a tour of gracie mansion in couple of weeks😊
Is it true like in the movies where in old New York the houses that are past 15th you were lower class?
I love this as a series. Also, this video was filmed very well and looked so pretty with all the nature and city shots 😊
thank you!
Loved this vlog! And what a coincidence that I just read about Roosevelt Island mere hours before watching this video, after never hearing of it before. Look forward to upcoming parts of this new series of yours!

The boy has better than average videography skills. Nice!

I was so distracted in the beginning by the cars parked behind you. Are they touching? Lol
LOL i think they are
Can you please do Hamilton Heights next !
definitely will do there at some point, a lot of my friends live in that neighborhood!
Ok just started the video but I’m very distracted by the parking job behind you. Are those cars touching?!
LOL wait I was laughing at that as I was editing why are they so close 😭
Alexa,, Chelsea left her a/c's on during the heatwave (2 cats). Her electric bill went from 65-70 to around 225-250.
Umm...like that music is SO early 70ish. But I was around in NYC back in those days and it was great!✌️
Great video! Is your boyfriend filming you? If so, he did a great job!
Hi Alexis, as a native New Yorker and as a resident of the upper east side, I really enjoyed this video ! So much fun and thank you for exploring our beautiful city ❤

Was this shot on Sunday the 11th?? There was a TON of influencers filming then
it actually was on Tuesday the 13th!
You have a videographer now?! :)
haha kind of! I was lucky to have some help for this video 🙂
