I'll be honest, I'm not very happy with how this one turned out. I feel like the color saturation is off in places, and overall it just doesn't look as good as it normally does. But I still wanted to meet my upload deadline, so here you go!

Essentially, the number 1 thing you need to do to make AMVs is to put a lot of thought into what scene fits best with the lyrics. That, and knowing when to switch to the next scene based on the beat of the song
Primordial Paper does it bug you when you see amv that are just generic ass rock songs over random action scenes? Cuz after I witnessed your amv those started to really bug me

I just finished catching up on the show (i stopped watching at the end of season 3 when it originally aired and spent almost the entire day, with breaks, binge watching the show starting from rewatching season 3. I'm kinda mad but mostly glad they ended season 5 the way they did because it means there's eventUALLY GONNA BE A NEW SEASON.
God i fucking love this show... That conversation Ruby had with Oscar in Season 5 about what it means to be scared yet courageous in the face of perilous odds brought tears to my eyes when she opened uo about what all the training and all the combat has done for her.
10/10 anime, and this video also gets a 10/10 because the edits go perfectly with the song.

The correlation between the lyrics and the scenes was spot on like usual, but I felt as though the first 12 seconds were a little "empty" if that makes any sense. It's probably because of your deadline, but if there were some flashes, or scene changes matching the smaller section of the beats, I think that would've made it more satisfying, I guess. That's just me though and it's impressive you can make good shit like this so often. Keep it up!
To be fair the first 12 seconds are pretty slow and empty in terms of the song, at least compared to the rest of it. So I feel it fits pretty well as an intro.
I think I explained it wrong, though I understand what you mean and it makes sense. What I tried to say, is that the AMV doesn't visually sync with the drums at the beginning (I still don't know if that makes any sense) That's just my opinion though and I've always liked visualisation for beats and drums and shit.
Thank you. And yeah, I always feel like the beginnings of my AMVs are all kind of boring and similar, but given how often the songs start with purely instruments instead of lyrics, I feel like there isn't really much else I can do other than show the main character and whatnot.

I can see what you mean by the saturation at times, but I think it fits well still because the song is constantly changing up, which makes the changes all work better and seem more in sync. Transition wise this is the best work I've seen, and honestly the best part was the song choice, which blew me away since most amvs tend to be more rock or pop, making this all the better.

What's the particle effect you use in this one? I'm kind of an "aspiring" AMV maker, however my level is rather between novice and intermediate, but I can learn stuff pretty quick.
If you search for "dust particle overlay" on TH-cam, you're bound to find a good one. I actually got most of mine in a pack, so I don't know their specific names
