these girls give a whole new meaning to the phrase girl power, seriously Ruby defeated an army of Beowolves by herself, Weiss took down a huge suit of armor, Blake obliterated a ton of those robots, and Yang single handedly cleared an entire dj lounge

In my opinion, this is very well done. Where most AMVs just take the original music and paste in their favorite scenes from whatever show they're using, you actually took the beat and pacing of the song into account. The only thing I can think of that would make this video significantly better (without corporate backing anyway) would be to remake it using some of the cooler action scenes from volume 2. That might be a bit much though.
Well, it was originally a bet with a friend that took off. Basically, he asked me to introduce a new character into RWBY, and I did. And then he (the character) threatened to castrate Cardin, and I realized I actually had an interest in continuing the idea... So, yeah.
Going. The problem with being a semi-perfectionist is that I try and perfect something before moving onto the next step. Takes forever and a day. Thanks for asking! As the OC, Blanc, would say, "Aw, you do care!"

Seems like while making this you thought an AMV is all about the fighting scenes. While the fighting scenes are bad ass, I'd recommend not focusing so heavily on the fighting scenes. There are multiple ways to create a good one such as, one where the song and the images tell a hidden story or matching the scenes with the music. I know you said you didn't have a lot of time I just thought I'd leave my input. Constructive criticism is never a bad thing and it can help build up an amazing creation. I'll subscribe to see what you create next.

Before the show aired in July last year there were 4 trailers released, one for each member of the main team 'RWBY' You should check them out when you have a chance. Best searching for them by colour (Red, White, Black, Yellow)

You are going to have to buy the volumes. Unless it is on Pirate's Bay or some other torrent. I would buy it because then it fuels their funds to make the next volume even better than ever.
Originally I used a site called ClipConverter.cc, but I found it came with a few nasty bugs which infected my computer, so I'd advise against it. Now I just rip it from the official DVD/Blu-Ray. Better quality too :)
MangoT There's a Mozilla Firefox plug in that allows you to download videos of TH-cam. The higher the quality, the bigger the file size. All my RWBY files total up to 5GBs. I suggest making another email account to store them on Google Drive.

I did cut off the beginning portion of the song but other than that no I didn't edit it further, not sure if there's another version of it out there.
