Ford Everest 3.2 No AdBlue Starting Hack

- WARNING: Be sure the car is in Park and Handbrake ON before attempting this method. Running the car with no AdBlue may cause issues with the AdBlue system and emissions.
Number 2 Relay is for the Starter Motor, essentially you are just bypassing the key operation. Put it back in.
The engine will run fine but it is unknown if the car is 'smart enough' to stop the AdBlu pump.
Only recommended if off road and AdBlue tank is damaged or driving is necessary.
As an update and to answer some questions.
The low Adblue level triggers a non start in the same way the starter wont operate if the cars is in gear. Jumping the terminals bypass this and operates the starter. With the ignition on all other systems are ready and the engine starts and drives fine. The Key start will not operate until the relay is back in and the AdBlue is topped up.
I can only assume that the AdBlue system is 'smart enough' to not run while the AdBlue level is empty, but I didn't test this. I just wanted a method to start should the tank be damaged while off road.

Have used this trick to an everest. The owner changed his battery. After replacing the old battery, the car won’t crank and start. Using this hack really starts the car and it’s still running up till this time. That’s almost a year ago. Thank you so much for your blog. 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks. I actually used this technique today on my ranger limited. I was away from home and It wouldn't start because the adblu had run out and the sensor couldn't detect it when it was refilled. I did what you described and got home fine! Thanks again!

The AdBlue Malfunction Error, no engine start in 700km has disappeared but still have the check engine light on.
I imagine it's OK to keep driving it and if we have any issues between now and service we just use the wire?
I was surprised the AdBlue error didn't come back on.

Excellent handy fix demonstrated. Question/s; once the car starts, at what point does the #2 relay put back in? How far is it "safe" to drive this if the Relay is out? 👍🏼

On a 2019 everest 2L bi turbo diesel starter motor will turnover but not nothing else. Doesn’t work - any ideas?

Hey. I tried this bridgemethod on my Ford Ranger XLT 2020 2.0L diesel 170hp 6 speed manual, and it did not work. I had handbrake on, gearbox in neutrual, ignitionkey i position 2 (running position). I also tried to lock down the clutchpedal with a stick but no result. The starterengine did run, but never started the car, no mather how long i tried - max 10 sec. My problem was that the adblue system was faulty due to broken hose and car was put i same "no engine start mode" as if the Adblue was empty. Any ideas?

A piece or wire he’s stripped either end and left the centre insulated.. it’s exactly the way I’d of done it also tbh

Hopefully it's started now. It can take a few minutes to register the adBlue has been filled.
Is there any Fuse also to Stop the Adblue spray System so it would not consume power too?
Great tip, it worked on other cars but on my FORD RANGER 2.2 YEAR 2023 it didn't work, car doesn't turn on anymore. I already flushed the adblue and nothing, I tried to start it straight as in the video and nothing, it works with FIO+SPRAY, just like that. Any tips?
