I just discovered sweet potato chews at TJ Maxx (of all places!) and my very fussy senior dog LOVES them. Being an animal-loving vegan myself, I'm thrilled when he eats plant-based foods! The chews are low calorie and nutritious, and smell good too. Since that first bag I've dropped a big bundle of $$$ at Maxx and Marshalls for more bags of chews. Now I'm thrilled to have this easy guide to making them at home. Thank you!! Watching your dogs enjoy those chews is feel-good viewing!
Love the dogs. The one on the right looks like ours when she was younger. Molly is 12 1/2 and still a puppy in her mind. I made some sweet potato chips in my air fryer last night before I found your video. I sliced them pretty thin and cooked them very fast at 380 flipping once. They did come out on the crispy side, but I thought that was the texture I was supposed to achieve. She liked them very much. I had a couple myself and thought not bad :). I recently started her on some fresh delivered dog food. It's pricey but she's worth it. Thanks for the video!
My dogs love the dried sweet potatoes too I get the ones that are cut kind of like french fries and wrapped in duck jerky they are the ONLY treat my VERY spoiled Pomeranians will eat. I NEVER thought about trying to make them myself! I even have a dehydrator already! I'm definitely going to pick up a sweet potato from the store this week and try to make them french fries style. I definitely am not going to try to mess with any kind of jerky.
I can tell just how much you love your Pom. 🩷 Let me know how the french fry style goes, I’m curious, and how the pups liked it without the duck jerky.
@KeriPratt thanks. There's a warning about all the grain free kibble. They use sweet potatoes, corn & peas for filler instead. It's causing enlarged heart & leaking valve, heart attacks. Maybe squash is better idk

Thanks for the video! I am going to try this at home for my puppy niece and nephew. 🐶 🍠
Thanks for watching! Hope they enjoy
You can sprinkle some cinnamon and turmeric on them. Very healthy for dogs!!!
Thanks for the video. I have been spending $40 for a two pound bag from Brutus. This might be the answer I have looked for.
Isn’t it crazy how expensive dogs treats are? It’s so easy to do too!
Excellent video! I am looking forward to making these for Rizzo! Have a blessed day!
Hope your pup enjoyed them. Thanks for watching.
@ Rizzo sure did! Thanks again! 😊

I feel Labs are so sweet and friendly, and love unconditionally. I'm so happy you liked the video! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thank you Keri
You are welcome! I hope your dog loves them.
Thank you!
The young guy is a quick eater. Lol. Thx for sharing. Going to try this. Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
He is! He needs a slow feeder for his meals because he’s so fast! Thanks for watching. 🇨🇦 Fellow Canadian 🇨🇦
I’ve also sprinkled Cinnamon top just before baking them.. ❤
Sounds yummy
FYI cinnamon is not safe for dogs
Wow that's looks awesome thank you so much for the great recipe I'm going to make it for my 1 year old pug chole 🤗
I hope she likes it too! ❤️

Great recipe... Thanks
Thanks for watching ❤️
Your video is a godsend - THANK YOU!!!❤❤❤ Question: how long do they last if stored in an air-tight container on the counter?
I couldn’t tell you, because they get eaten too fast. I’ve never had them for more than a few days.
Thank you for watching ❤️
Wow! Going to try! ❤
Hope your doggie enjoys!
Looks like the treats are a hit!
Yup! They love them!!
Bake for 2 1/2 hours at what temperature?
250F (130C).
Can you make butternut squash this way?
I can’t see why not?

You have two wonderful looking dogs!!! Yes they look spoiled by mommy!! Lol thank for your video!!
Thank you for your kind words.
It starts at 1:27 everyone.
Can I use air fryer without a dehydrator setting and just cook at 300 for 3 hours ?
Yes, you can just use the air fryer, but I’d use a lower temperature and cook them at 250, just like you would for the oven.
they definitely like them lol
I had their complete attention. 😂😂
Thank you. We will make these 😋 🐶🐺
Thanks for watching! Hope you’re furry friends love them too! 🐶 ❤️
Nice to see dogs with trimmed nails...so many folks don't attend to their nails.
Thanks! Harper isn’t a fan, but with a Lab, if there’s treats she’s willing to let me trim them for her.
