HW origin story video at some point. When did you start playing, why did you want to learn? What did you do before the kemper/youtube stuff? But yeah you could have way more subs if you started clinching onto the type of stuff the algorithm rewards. Production values are great. Playing is top notch. You're very personable. This channel could be huge.
I’m a producer and musician from Portugal who got many people to start using Kemper because of you. A big music lover and a collector of guitars and amps, I feel truly inspired by your work. Congratulations!
Keep it up man. Love youtubes algorithms. You popped up and that guitar grabbed my attention. She’s a beaut. Keep up the good work man. You just got a new subscriber. !!!!!!

@@ToneJunkieTV An example would be as low as the Firefly LP copy @ $200 up to MIM Fenders low end American like Gibson Studio or American Special Strats. Like you, I enjoy a good inexpensive guitar and yet have a Gibson LP gold top and several custom made guitars. My next purchase will be used USA all the while trying to reduce my 50 guitars to maybe a “Bakers Dozen” of 13 or so😁😂🤙🏽
Recently found your channel and am digging your content. Love the daily video idea. Excited to see how far your channel grows by this time next year. Have fun and rock on!
Seems like a lot of work, good for you. Here's something you do that often keeps me watching to the end, that you might not have thought about: ... usually you play the guitar for a little bit and then play time is done and you do the talking... it makes all the difference to me because I listen to people talk at 2x speed. So if you talk first and then play the guitar like in this video, I just click away when the talking is done (6:25 in this case). Most of the time in your videos the guitar playing is first, so I listen to that and enjoy it at normal speed, and then when it's talking time I go to 2x speed and I'm with you to the end of the video. ... I also like the way you play, and i like the tones. For instance, I like John Cordy's videos, but I usually skip his guitar playing (he's good, it's just a taste thing).
I did this for three months on both of my channels. I have a short channel and a longform channel went from 0 to 63 subs on the long channel and 0 to 657 subs on the shorts channel. Daily posting is the cheat code. If I start a new channel, which I’m going to, this is exactly what I would be doing.
I've been watching your videos on and off a couple years now, but the new video content has really caught my ear. As a result, I discovered the Guitar Friends podcast. I think I first discovered you through the Stu G and Worship Tutorials connection. Not a Kemper user, but a lot of the stuff you talk about is universally applicable or just generally interesting
Your new videos brought be here, I think the golden age of guitar video. I tried watching some of your older format and I couldn't get into it so maybe you should keep it in a format similar to what you're doing
I've been a subscriber for a while. The algos didn't really keep your videos in my feed until about a week ago. I enjoy your commentary on both guitar gear and music in general. I thought of your channel as more of a digital channel before. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for the kind words! It's encouraging to hear you are enjoying the channel! I do a lot of digital stuff but I have decided to make videos on all types of guitar related stuff
HW. Since you have said you read all your posts, I wanted to say this was one of the best videos you have made. This is what we need. When you get goofy, it can be, and usually is, so annoying. This was stellar. I know you want to always do well. Who doesn’t? So just my unsolicited 2 cents from an older player who appreciates your time, products and also clearly from a boomer who does not know how to get the cents sign into a comment message. Be well. Thanks.
I've been watching your videos for years and didn't realize I wasn't subscribed. I've had a Helix as a "daily driver" since 2017 after our church went to a silent stage. Me trying to learn about that is likely what first got your stuff suggested to me. I have really enjoyed the increased upload pace as I generally enjoy hearing your thoughts on the subjects you discuss. I enjoy the guitar friends podcast, too. Looking forward to the rest of 2025, brother.
Greetings from Finland. I have Helix LT and I wish to have some insight about what headphones to use with modellers. I use Fender FR-10 and it sounds great but I'm kinda struggling with headphones. I have to use them quite a bit and my current headphones are less than optimal. I'm gonna get new ones but there are so many options... Thanks HW!
Hey dude, I’m not to knowledgeable about headphones make and models but I use KS10 in ears live and like those. I’d say for studio headphones read a ton of reviews and see if that’s been talked about on forums. In terms of how I listen to modelers, I think you’ll always find you prefer the FR-10 over headphones… I know I prefer my cabs over even my studio monitors.
The Trump Guitar review got me to you and I've subscribed and watched ever since. I really enjoy your playing. How about some basic guitar riff lessons and how to do those faces you do. lol. Keep it up.
Will you do any videos on lessons? Im still beginner early intermediate and would love to learn stuff from you. Things like intervals, caged, triads, how you practiced them etc. How you got good basically. Peace from Canada A lot of people like me are constantly looking to learn from people who have so much knowledge. I love your vibe. Its chill
The Trump guitar put me on to you. I agree with most of your content, and I always love a daily dose of guitar content and talk. May go live once a week like “The Bald Shredder” and Phillip McKnight and the like. Also you play very good and smooth.
I think it would be fun to do a weekly live stream! I have a B studio set up here that I want to rig up for live streaming… could be fun to do a Monday morning live thing maybe? I’ll hopefully have that setup in a few weeks, probably right after NAMM
Hi, I've been watching your stuff here and there. Really great content! I am interested in finding the best pedal platform direct in option. I like to stack drives so I am on the look out for the best direct non-tube option that takes drives well and can get closest to that tube feel and sound. Would be cool to have some content on what are some creative ways or options in going direct for people who get their sounds from pedals.
I would appreciate a video everyday. A short 8-10 minute video will grow the channel. I’ve noticed that I look forward to seeing a short Trogly’s video about old and new Gibson’s everyday. In absolutely NO way am l interested in buying a Gibson old or new. I just appreciate a shirt content video. Definitely some subjects require more time.
Enjoying the content. Have you ever tried a celestion g10l-35? I recently acquired one and put it in a combo. Sounds wonderful to my ear. I am looking for a modern alternative though, and was thinking of the WGS ET10. Apparently voiced similarly. Anyway, if you were looking to do speaker shootouts I'd be highly interested in a comparison if you have them on hand. Cheers.
I’m interested in what you do( I’m new here) but I have no idea where to start. Like do I need a Kemper? Quad? Can I use my 2x12 or do I need studio monitors? That stiff. What is an IR vs a Cab sim? Where can I find these things out? I’m an amp junkie I have 15 or 16 ( nothing cool like what’s behind you mind) anyway I love trying new stuff. Where can I go to learn the most rudimentary things about this stuff? Thanks.
I play kemper, QC and tonex outside the house exclusively. Haven’t brought an amp out in years… there are tons of benefits… maybe that’s a good video idea!! “Why modelers are better than amps!” I like them thru cabs like the kemper kab or the fender fr12 etc. but I also use monitors. I’d recommend the cabs for playing at home… it makes them feel like regular tube amps. IR vs cab sim…. Same thing really, or rather they do the same thing. IR means impulse response which is the file we use to capture the sound of a cabinet or speaker. I make and sell IRs of many rare and hard to find speakers. A cabsim usually refers to a pedal or something that is using Irs or just software or even an analog circuit to sound like a cabinet.
I’ve known about you for a long time, but your niche was not interesting enough for me to subscribe. Your content in the past couple of days has been more broadly guitar related vs IR’s, modeling, etc. Just my two cents on why I hit subscribe in the past couple of days.
That is great to hear, thanks for subscribing! The plan is to still do that content too but keep the ratio about 60/40 more general to more digital focused
Everyday? 'Ever hear the term "always leave them wanting more"? I don't even want to see/hear my favorite artists everyday - 'Makes everything that less special. I do enjoy your channel but don't become a "Cordy." Bro is out of control with his 2 or 3 a day and unwatchable at this point.
@ToneJunkieTV 365 days of solid, interesting, non-repetitve content is tough. I enjoyed Cordy when he first popped up but he's so far down the TH-cam rabbit hole ... It's like the YT version of the movie "Crank" - If he doesn't post 2 or 3 videos everyday he's done for. And his content has become like "Groundhog Day" - Helix, Dumble, Need to, Helix, Dumble, Need to ... Rinse and repeat. 😂

I second this
hey man, you got a good vibe, i enjoyed your review of the trump guitar and decided to stick around. Keep making videos, ill keep showing up!

I'm digging your vibe. You just play and talk about what's on your mind.

Not just cheap guitars and boutique guitars but across the whole price spectrum, no one includes the "mid-packers" very well.
Interesting… can I ask what’s an example of a “mid” level guitar to you. Is that like the $600 range or more like $1000?
