- Watch as Tracey @artfiberstitch experiments with different fabrics and yarns and threads. Using PVA glue and water to stiffen and create forms that can be used to embellish further craft art projects. Great way to make trees in your textile art and much more!

I put this on pause to check out the rest of your channel and I am enthralled. I am a mixed media with a studio full of assorted media. I see a binge watch coming on.
Thanks Sherry, I hope you find more things to enjoy.
I could listen and watch you fir hours!! Thank you for sharing!
Oh thank you very much! That means so much ❤
Lovely! Great additions to collage.
Thanks so much! 😊
Perhaps with those little pieces you could spray them with hairspray first to lightly stiffen them and add glue when they are dry.
That is a great idea!
The yarn and threads remind me of corals (-: Marion 🎉
Yes! So many uses for this technique ❤️
Excellent presentation. Great ideas. Thank you for sharing
Thanks Maria, I can think of lots of ways to use them ❤️
Thanks for doing this video. You’ve given me some inspiration as I’ve been wondering how I can stiffen fabric for sculpturing.
Hope it works for you!
If you don’t try you won’t know. Brilliant 💕
Life is all about experimenting !
Good Morning Tracy,
Thank you so much for this video. I now know what I will be playing with today. ❤️
You and me both 😀
This idea is fabulous, offering so many creative opportunities. Love it. TFS
Thank you, yes let us experiment and find new things!
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
I use fabric glue on projects as pva yellows over time, still good to experiment with it though.
That is very interesting Ruby. Is the fabric glue you use white? I see that some PVA is acid free and some not, perhaps that is the difference?
Wonderful. So inspiring ! I can't wait to go digging in my collections. Thankyou !
You are so welcome! ❤️
love the experiments!! : )
Thanks Judith I am loving playing with it! 🙏
Thanks, this is inspirational. I have so many bits and pieces that I can use.
I know I will be playing with it more in the future!
Love it! I get so inspired when watching you! Thanks for the great ideas! X
Thank you, You never know where you end up, but experimenting certainly teaches us 😀
I love frayed edges! I’ve been playing glueing together layers of fabric, paper, threads, yarn using cellulose glues. Will also try pva glue. It’s fun experimenting and fun seeing what you are coming up with. Love, love love what you did with thread and yarns.
Mmmmm perhaps I will try the cellulose! 🤔😀 I just love the ideas that flow when you try something new. I loved the yarn trees I just know I will be doing more of them.Thank you Maureen, you always fill me full of enthusiasm. ❤
j'aime beaucoup cette experience
Thank you 😊
Just found your channel lovely work 😊
Thank you! 😊
Wow! Great tips!
So many uses ! Thank you.
This is amazing!
Thank you 🙏
Hi thanks for this amazing video! How can i stiffen threads and fabric but keep them washable? Would the Pva last after washing? Thank you so much for sharing this!!!
Thank you. This would have to take some experimentation of your own. There are a lot of variables in there in including what you wash, how often and how. But I do know the more PVA to water ratio the more permanently stiff it becomes. Hope that helps.😊
Thank you so much! You can still steam it I guess ❤
Would that not be easier with a larger brush?
A lot of the time, it is which ever brush is handy 😊
yes!
Having trouble hearing you. Chad my volume and it's a highest. Chkd my earphones and they are also at highest 😢 sorry I'll be missing this session.
Thanks for letting me know ❤
I had no problem at all hearing it at my normal version. May be something at your end.
