Honestly, this channel has become one of the most important recap platforms of RuPaul‘s Drag Race. I really hope you know how much we, your fans, appreciate this effort. I’m glad that it’s finally giving you some real life experiences with your own makeover and getting to meet queens. This is a fantasy come to life for a fan.
They had the pole dancer because in some fire houses in the US, the firefighters will slide down a pole from the upper floor to get to the trucks faster when they have a call. It's become something that you immediately associate with firefighters, so I think it was just to play off that. Also, he wasn't actually pole dancing. It's called a Chinese pole and it's a type of acrobat cirque act.

I agree with you and with Aura but I feel like she didn't need to make it messy by tagging Roxxxy and shoving her opinion into her face to spite fans. At the end of the day, Roxxy and Vanjie don't have anything to do with the way the Queens are judged on the show. It's a bit unfair to drag them into this drama (eventhough I share Aura's opinion) when only Rupaul and production are to blame.

I love Gotmik, but that whole "alliance" bruhaha was ridiculous. We know he's in an alliance with Vanjie, come on now. The fact that Nina gave her badge to Roxxxy just to go against the alliance rumors is crazy, and she really shouldn't have done that. Roxxxy is going to get a lot of badges, I feel like shes really going to take off after this episode and find her stride.
I don't understand why on earth they think girl group = matchy matchy triplets? Have they watched girl groups? There can be the same style, or same color, or a mix, but very few straight up match. They tend to show their individual personalities within a given vibe/style 😒 Just an excuse, as usual, to give inconsistent judging during the makeover challenge.
They gave the win to Roxxxy and Vanjie because they were both just given badges and they wanted the gag of them going from the bottom to the top 🙄 The top two were clearly Plastique/Jorgeous and Mik/Nina. This wasn’t a matching dress challenge.
i've noticed that, often, the winner of the makeover is the makeover person that rupaul likes the best - and rupaul liked the dad with the rainbow family ..
Well, that and the editors will highlight the backstory of the winner of the makeover to help justify it. So it's a chicken and egg situation. Kind of how Survivor usually gives more screentime/backstory to the eventual winner and finalist of each season.
I knew before the challenge even started that roxxxy and vangie would win because the producers love the drama of going from an underdog to a front runner in one episode.
I do really like this season but I also really like the other All Stars format. I just like seeing the queens get their spotlight and they deserve compensation

I've met eureka out of Drag and done karaoke along with silky and adore in weho. They're very nice irl. That being said, eureka always does this. She says things. The context isn't all there or she miss remembers and then it becomes a huge thing. Kim had every right to clap back and speak the truth. On All Stars 7, Evie was given a star, and later that episode she won another star. I don’t know if I believe it was rigged, but it’s certainly suspicious that the two that were given stars at the beginning of the episode happen to be in a group together and win another star in the same episode.
I agree with Willam, Alaska, Trixie & Kim - Mik & Nina should have won. They looked super cute (best Nina's probably ever looked on Drag Race) & their performance and lyrics were top notch.
If I recall correctly, Plastique pressured Angelique to shave off her eyebrows, but notice Plastique didn't volunteer to shave her own. Going back to civilian life Plastique would have less to lose by doing so than fireman Angelique. If I'd been the fireman, I'd probably have said, 'sure I'll shave them off if you do too."
I mean no shade but vanjie was the first out on her original season, and then went on to do great on her second season and on this one. being an early out on drag race doesn't mean much tbh

I was shocked when Plastique’s group didn’t win! When they came out on stage I was like “Yes, that’s a girlgroup” and their fireman was by far the best of the bunch. Roxxxy’s group was a little meh and I really didn’t like the outfits, too samey.
i would say having 2 (or well, 3) people during a makeover challenge makes it slightly harder, ONLY because not only do you need to be cohesive with the person you are making over, but also the person your working with has to have similar clothing to you or someway for you all to meet in the middle for the person you are making over. like Gottmik and Nina did.
My current top 4 based on everything so far. Plastique Gottmik Angeria Roxxxy The edit is giving very that. Maybe swap out Roxxxy for Jorgeous but yeah
I said this for the Have Your Say poll, but I wanna say it again. This is NOT the first time the makeover had this format of 2 queens and 1 partner and doing it as girl groups. The first time was All Stars 1, and the partners were children of famous people (the only one I recall without looking up the episode was Kelly Osborne).

I think if you're gonna do a double Shantay on non-elimination format there should be two snips (blocks) like they do on the elimination format that both lipsticks get shown. There’s no point of doing it otherwise.
I don't like make overs, because it depends on the person they have to change, normally the judges lean towards those who act better on stage, so if your partner is stiff, there's no way you are going to win even if you work is amazing

I felt that having Bob open the roast before Shannel, completely stole Shannel’s thunder. It was such a weird decision by production and completely weirded me out. Bob should have been on the panel of judges. Also - shut up to everyone dumping on Mik when Mik was clearly in her head & in a very vulnerable state. Which was no doubt created by doing something that I have never seen anyone do on Drag Race - attach a breast that represents something they had to remove & overcome in their transition journey. She’s literally breaking the system. I’ve seen trans women on international Drag Race seasons fall apart once they attempted a similar message in their performance. This is pure art. Mik is naturally funny. If they had a confidence drop after feeling vulnerable- who cares? Get a life.
i derno...after the travesty of last episodes so-called tie, and not Anre's team not actually getting the win--come on, production cant even be bothered to pretend it is not scripted and they are pushing Roxie on us, even if this season she aint it, henny. She is iconic for coasting in AS but how did their makeover beat the others? Then they both win in their lukewarm lipsyncs. No mam' I checked out of this season after that,and just get quick updates on this playwrighted travesty. ps i lost abit of admiration for Kim Chi. What I hate about the judging of makeovers is that it seems like 90% of the judging goes to how color coded and matchy matchy it is. Like with Plastique and Jorgeous, they all matched super well but because of the colors not being the same, they lost. It's stupid.
For those that say AS5 was rigged for Shea to win, NEEDS to remember that Shea was up for elimination a lot but because fans would’ve got mad at Shea being sent home, none of the Queens wanted to cut her. They better then me is all Ima say 😂😂😂😂 because I would’ve eliminated Shea in episode 3 when she was up for elimination 🤷🤷🤷
That challenge was for Plastique and Jorgeous to win and a lot were shocked when Vanjie and Roxxxxy's team won. It's just so funny that they're being on the defensive and attacking Aura for doing a PlaneJane and calling it out as it is. The producers were cooking up that storyline in that episode and to deny it is drag delusion. 😂

I wish Jorgeous didn’t have the black straps all over her look, it was messy and didn’t give Blossom vibes. Plastique had the custom top and no black accents which made her stand out which isn’t good for a makeover challenge. Roxxxy and Vangie were pretty plain but they were the most cohesive and looked like a real girl group. I think they deserved to win more than Plastique and Jorgeous tbh, it’s not about who had the best concept, it’s who pulled off the prompt they were given the best.
Completely agree. Look at season 15 and 16 makeovers. Loosey was sent home because her makeover looked too much like her but in 16 Plane Jane wins for her partner being identical.
I agree with Aura and I think mostly everyone does. People are entitled to an opinion whether negative or positive, not every single of opinion of you is going to be positive. This is why Drag Race sucks now none of the contestants can handle any form of criticism. Fyi it IS okay to be hateful if it is warranted .

honestly this fandom is sooo tiring, i remember people saying that they hoped roxxxy dominated the season and expected her to be in the finale and hoped this was her time to get the crown, but then she gets pushed by production (which she doesnt really need, but it happens just like every other season) and everyone quickly turn tables and dislike roxxxy... same thing happened with sapphira

I was shocked when Plastique’s group didn’t win! When they came out on stage I was like “Yes, that’s a girlgroup” and their fireman was by far the best of the bunch. Roxxxy’s group was a little meh and I really didn’t like the outfits, too samey.

i would say having 2 (or well, 3) people during a makeover challenge makes it slightly harder, ONLY because not only do you need to be cohesive with the person you are making over, but also the person your working with has to have similar clothing to you or someway for you all to meet in the middle for the person you are making over. like Gottmik and Nina did.

I said this for the Have Your Say poll, but I wanna say it again. This is NOT the first time the makeover had this format of 2 queens and 1 partner and doing it as girl groups. The first time was All Stars 1, and the partners were children of famous people (the only one I recall without looking up the episode was Kelly Osborne).
is that how they say "cliques" in the uk? why does michelle and other people think girl groups need to be in a uniform? have they not kept up with girl groups from the past 20 years? spice girls alone didn't wear anything matching let alone the girl groups from the past 5 years. this should have been plastique's and jorgeous' win. i think they just wanted the guy with a trans daughter to win cause he was the only one with a full story. with that lip sync it was vanjie's and the same with this week, plastique should have won it. i don't know what they're doing but it seems they're setting roxxy up for a win? she's winning things that are "choices" as the quote goes.

Wasn't Aura always getting cussed out by ppl on her season(I'll be honest, I did forget all about her and at first I thought she was a past judge on another DR or another contestant on another DR chapter)and I do have to agree, I don't think she should've won either? Ru and Michelle have been doing this show and gracefully aging, they're not going to remember what they've told queens in the past......Ru barely remembers even her most favorite queens names. I agree, their meth/crackhead type judging can be annoying at times.

Aura was right! Competitively plastique and jorgous should have won! Roxxxy is being favored it’s obvious…roxxxy and vangie won for the story line…if Roxxxy wins this season it isn’t because she wasn’t the best…she won because a Pageant queen will do anything for a crown
I felt that having Bob open the roast before Shannel, completely stole Shannel’s thunder. It was such a weird decision by production and completely weirded me out. Bob should have been on the panel of judges.
Also - shut up to everyone dumping on Mik when Mik was clearly in her head & in a very vulnerable state. Which was no doubt created by doing something that I have never seen anyone do on Drag Race - attach a breast that represents something they had to remove & overcome in their transition journey. She’s literally breaking the system. I’ve seen trans women on international Drag Race seasons fall apart once they attempted a similar message in their performance. This is pure art.
Mik is naturally funny. If they had a confidence drop after feeling vulnerable- who cares? Get a life.
i derno...after the travesty of last episodes so-called tie, and not Anre's team not actually getting the win--come on, production cant even be bothered to pretend it is not scripted and they are pushing Roxie on us, even if this season she aint it, henny. She is iconic for coasting in AS but how did their makeover beat the others? Then they both win in their lukewarm lipsyncs. No mam' I checked out of this season after that,and just get quick updates on this playwrighted travesty.
ps i lost abit of admiration for Kim Chi. She did not have to be vengeful like that knowing how toxic some viewers get. Now Ive lost even more respect for Roxxxie and Vangie for being so popped for the truth.
Nymphia's season will get another Emmy, but this All Stars season will never win anything. Production is over estimating Roxxxy's popularity.
What I hate about the judging of makeovers is that it seems like 90% of the judging goes to how color coded and matchy matchy it is. Like with Plastique and Jorgeous, they all matched super well but because of the colors not being the same, they lost. It's stupid.
For those that say AS5 was rigged for Shea to win, NEEDS to remember that Shea was up for elimination a lot but because fans would’ve got mad at Shea being sent home, none of the Queens wanted to cut her. They better then me is all Ima say 😂😂😂😂 because I would’ve eliminated Shea in episode 3 when she was up for elimination 🤷🤷🤷
That challenge was for Plastique and Jorgeous to win and a lot were shocked when Vanjie and Roxxxxy's team won.
It's just so funny that they're being on the defensive and attacking Aura for doing a PlaneJane and calling it out as it is. The producers were cooking up that storyline in that episode and to deny it is drag delusion. 😂

I wish Jorgeous didn’t have the black straps all over her look, it was messy and didn’t give Blossom vibes. Plastique had the custom top and no black accents which made her stand out which isn’t good for a makeover challenge.
Roxxxy and Vangie were pretty plain but they were the most cohesive and looked like a real girl group. I think they deserved to win more than Plastique and Jorgeous tbh, it’s not about who had the best concept, it’s who pulled off the prompt they were given the best.
Completely agree. Look at season 15 and 16 makeovers. Loosey was sent home because her makeover looked too much like her but in 16 Plane Jane wins for her partner being identical.
I agree with Aura and I think mostly everyone does. People are entitled to an opinion whether negative or positive, not every single of opinion of you is going to be positive. This is why Drag Race sucks now none of the contestants can handle any form of criticism. Fyi it IS okay to be hateful if it is warranted .
