They will have some physical differences from AMAB cis men. Pretending like acknowledging this is an attack is insanity.

Gottmik isn't even particularly curvaceous, I've seen cis men with a little curve in their hips which means it isn't even an inherently physical female trait. She brought drag into a lot of household names but the show has become so big it’s only helpful to the queens who make it to the end or have a great storyline. The rest of competing queens lose a lot of money and a lot of smaller queens are seen as lesser than the ones on the show, so sometimes can’t even earn a healthy amount. They’re not treated great by production unless they’re a star. A lot of shows will pretend they’re more helpful to contestants than they actually are. As long as queens apply and people watch, the situation won’t change either. It used to be what you thought it was. 🥲

Let's not forget from All Stars 9 there were only three Queens that were described as 'not a beast' and is why the crew members are sueing WoW. Blocking her out of performing after the first year of her season that premiered which is when most early outs make there money Or let's not how Kandy repeatedly emotionally manipulated Hidie until she broke and Quit All Stars 8. Then there was there fight with Aja. They mat be better now but the reason why the rift started was because Kandy kept disrespecting the work Aja was doing to get her drag family gigs. In Tamisha's defense, the "Production requires photos of your runway look beforehand" makes some sense - I think it would let them check to see if there's anything particularly objectionable in the runway (like hateful slogans and logos), or something that will require censorship for broadcast. Same with what they'll be wearing during the taping, IIRC they can't wear anything with large brand logos or slogans on it. But also her season was perhaps one of the most rigged and most overproduced seasons of US Drag Race. From the first episode's riggory, to the blatant favoritism towards certain queens, to the questionable wins, bottom placements, and lip synch wins... S13 was a mess. Tamisha didn't deserve to be in the bottom in the ep she went home on, and she didn't lose that lip synch either. How could she have ended up in the bottom when she was, at worst, the middle of the pack, and they have her a fricking flag to dance with??? That episode was produced to send her home, so if I were her I'd be bitter too.

Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought rpd helped the drag/gay community by showing how fun and free and non judgmental it was. That's how I saw it anyway.
She brought drag into a lot of household names but the show has become so big it’s only helpful to the queens who make it to the end or have a great storyline. The rest of competing queens lose a lot of money and a lot of smaller queens are seen as lesser than the ones on the show, so sometimes can’t even earn a healthy amount. They’re not treated great by production unless they’re a star. A lot of shows will pretend they’re more helpful to contestants than they actually are. As long as queens apply and people watch, the situation won’t change either. It used to be what you thought it was. 🥲

Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion but there are a lot of people who are way too comfortable, confidently attaching the title of transphobe to Nina.
Theres a huge difference between making a problematic comment, and actually being transphobic. One ignorant comment isn’t indicative of someone’s moral compass and genuine political beliefs on real world issues, groups or minorities. Followers of her will know that she has shown a ton of support to the trans community, and holds no hate or animosity towards them for their identity. Her risqué humour and honest nature may not slide with everyone and that’s okay, but labelling her falsely as a transphobe is not okay either.

In all there has to be a reason why it seems like Tamisha,Alexis Kamorha and multiple Vegas girls dont mind Elliot as they can see it was a mistake on her part but overblown out of its proportion by a couple of queens who aren’t any better. A lot of queens seem to hint that your faves would always disappoint you if you found out their real behavior. For Nina, she loves the transformation aspect, so if she feels that a contestant has an easier time to transform into this feminine fantasy, she calls it out. She wasn’t holding this against Gottmik simply because he’s trans, she holds this narrative to everyone, young cis gays who are baby faced, she says they have an advantage when painting. Queens who’ve had their body done like trinity or Akeria, she says they have an advantage. She wasn’t picking on Gottmik solely, she’s observing aspects of the process of transformation and speaking on who she feels has an easier time. If she solely picked on trans people, I’d understand, but she holds this true for everyone.

Liking the transformation or not, that comment was unnecessary especially since she didn't have that comment for other queens who in my opinion were more naturally curvaceous than mik. Nina always finds herself commenting on trans bodies, especially trans men. Not in a jokey way, and not because she 'likes the transformation aspect of drag'.

In Tamisha's defense, the "Production requires photos of your runway look beforehand" makes some sense - I think it would let them check to see if there's anything particularly objectionable in the runway (like hateful slogans and logos), or something that will require censorship for broadcast. Same with what they'll be wearing during the taping, IIRC they can't wear anything with large brand logos or slogans on it.
But also her season was perhaps one of the most rigged and most overproduced seasons of US Drag Race. From the first episode's riggory, to the blatant favoritism towards certain queens, to the questionable wins, bottom placements, and lip synch wins... S13 was a mess. Tamisha didn't deserve to be in the bottom in the ep she went home on, and she didn't lose that lip synch either. How could she have ended up in the bottom when she was, at worst, the middle of the pack, and they have her a fricking flag to dance with??? That episode was produced to send her home, so if I were her I'd be bitter too.

Agreed. I can absolutely empathize with her anger and frustrations for being attack by fans for something she had no say over even if I do think she could have expressed it better. The transphobic shit though, that's a giant hell no from me. I love seeing more diversity and inclusion on the show even if I think the range of diversity is being heavily edited and watered down by production to not shake things up "too much". I want to see trans folks, nonbinary folks, genderfluid folks, drag kings, and club kids!
