      @@liamjacob-o8b I can’t believe that I waited so long to make NZ a focus of my annual fishing itinerary - now I need to keep fit - keep my weight under control - and plan a trip or two every year to that wonderful fishery…

    OMG. Never reacted to one of your videos quite like this. Sheer extreme unadulterated JEALOUSY. Something to do with the calm look of pure joy in your face making that journey, partly the memory of similar from past trips…partly the absolute s--t week back at work!!!!😂😂😂 Awesomeness LG!

      @@padraigcostello8499 Thanks so much Padraig - are you related to Emma Costello in Sydney? My YT channel seems to have morphed into a travel vlog of sorts, with a bit of fishing…

      @robertlouis24 Hello again Robert. No, I am not related to that lady, Costello is a west of Ireland name. I did spent two years in Sydney as a young man, and I was blessed to spend a year in NZ in 2003 fishing and painting the landscape. I spent most of that time in the Nelson area, and fished the Maruia a handful of times. The fish from the Maruia river were beautiful as I recall, silver and nearly fully spotted on their backs, they reminded me of the trout of my beloved Corrib lake, near my home. You are very diligent to be uploading content after a hard day's fishing in that heat, especially after a few whiskies as well! Well done again!😊

    My late father in law shared a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue label with me. He had had it for 34 years in his cupboard.

    Did the guide use a standard double clinch to tie the the tippet to the indicator fly hook? Thanks

    • @robertlouis24
      @robertlouis24  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@trevorgreen2370 Trevor - yes, Ash uses a double clinch - which he swears by - for lighter tippet - 5X - it would be a fascinating test to see of a double clinch is indeed stronger…
