Great review rick you hit on a lot of the same things that I have found out about this gun over the past couple of months of owning and shooting it.
I have the .22 cal version in tan I have done a few videos on this air rifle already.
Since doing those videos I have had a few things arise some of which you touched on. 1st . the stock screws coming loose mine has had that issue as well I did lock tight them but they will still work loose after so many shots.
2nd. my rear sight has started to walk/float out of zero after about 14 shots and you have to re site it in each time now which is not good, and I can turn the adjustment for the rear sight way to easy with just my finger nail it does not have any solid clicks at all and is way to easy to turn which is why it is probably moving so easy when the gun is being shot.
and 3rd. which is the scope rail which you talked about as well.
My issue is I did not want to have to use a scope on this air rifle I wanted to be able to just use the open sights and now that the sites will go out of zero after a few shots this renders this gun useless to me as a so called survival rifle.
if you have a scope on it you cannot pack it back up in the carry box if you want to and if you have it folded up with a scope on it and are knocking it around a lot you could knock your scope out if zero as well.
I do like the idea of the gun and mine did shoot groups pretty well with open sights out to 30yds and even some animal steel targets but like I said now that the rear site keeps walking it kinda defeats the point for me.
I will be doing an update video on this air rifle in the near future.
    great review well done.

I've seen this rifle achieve one inch groups at 40 yards. It's all a matter of finding the best suited pellet for the barrel.

rick we do not agree on much, but a hatsan mod 130 will be better,
i have desiled mine for over a decade and it gets about 50fpe doing that and i have had zero problems with it not working,
and rick i abuse that breakbarrel.
course if you hand pump i would prefer my aea element .30cal
or even a hatsan velox pistol with 15 fpe in .25 cal over that breakbarrel there.
but the one i would take with me is gonna be my aea hp max 51 cal with a pump kit and bullet molds shooting at over 300fpe, no issues with deer or anything else, but it would be a thing to hand pump.
mine has a external regulaer, and several mods. but as far as recycleing lead, the bullet mold has handles and can be heated over a campfire.
or ya can use 12.7 or half inch carbon steel ball bearing and a magnet to retrieve it. just put those in a bag of coconut oil or fat to keep em from rusting.
my hp max 51 gets 18 shots at between 345-355 fpe. and well that is important when it comes to protecting ones self in survival.
the 6 shot mags like 310gr hp and 250gr hp but can use roundball in a pinch.
the airgun folds down to 28 inches with a 22 inch barrel but it came with a 13 inch barrel that would fold it down to 20 inches.
but that barrel provides alot less energy, like 250fpe.
and lessens your range from a hundred yards to about 60yds
and that pump kit , well it is awesome,
weight as stock , 4.8lb, weight as i have modded it, 7lb.
    pick your poison.
    enjoy your hobby.

Mine would never fully lock unless the cocking lever was out. However once I drop the cocking lever in and turn it to lock no deal as it stops short of fully locking and one would have to much the unlock button to rotate it back. My first impression is junk from China. I'll se if Airgun Depot will exchange it but I'll probably always have a bad taste in my mouth about it.

Great video Rick! Hope all's well with you. I guess it's an ok concept and could be a fun gun ; however, I'll probably pass just because if im dropping almost three bills I'll add a little and get something from England or Germany. I understand that is a different concept but money means a big no for me. All the best bro

I use my Airforce Talon-p gen 1 ( no regulator to mess with ) 25 caliber fits right in my backpack with a scope no problem . I carry an extra tank if needed and it is not the spin-loc version so no tools are needed to rock and roll , sets up in a matter of seconds . Owned mine since 2013 and not one issue . I have been looking at these but still haven't pulled the trigger as of yet . It would take a big backpack for these to fit into . Unless they do something different its a no go . Maybe 25 caliber ? And that's questionable ? I do like the concept , just needs rethinking . 🤔🙃

I'm not sure Rick I have had the Bm8 for over a month in 22. I haven't had any of the problems that you seem to be having. I did have to adjust the rear site. I use crosman hollow points getting 799 to 850 ft per second all day at about 20 plus ft pounds
I'm getting close to 900 fps with alloy. My trigger doesn't have a long pull. I use open sights I did put some white on the front site to help my old eyes. I'm hitting quarter groups at 50 yards. I think you might want to try another one. You might have got a black bunker that was damaged or something. But truthfully I saw your first video on this gun with air gun Annie and truthfully from the start you've been bashing this gun. Sometimes we need to take more than one shot to sight things in. I'm going to recommend you take a couple more shots with this one.

hey there. thanks for the comments. I had a short time with this product, and it had to go back as the gun was for a writing project. I reached out to black bunker directly, and they never responded. I'd be more than willing to spend more time with it and would like to. But, I can only report on what I have on hand to test and experience. (seeing the comments and feedback I've gotten, I'm not alone in my experience) This was not really a review but rather a general report on my experience and a look at the marketing of the product, i.e., a "survival" airgun. I think it's an ok and unique airgun; I said that multiple times. I'm surprised that you are consistently getting quarter groups with open sights at 50 yards. If that's the case, then you certainly have a golden sample and should consider shooting competitively. That's amazing results for any springer at any cost.
      Cheers

The rilfe looks okay. Kinda a neat feature carrying it around as -or with a box filled with pellets..😁 But I don't think it has enough to offer, to make me buy one. I'll go with my old springer instead.

Again, interesting engineering feat but for around the same price a .22 LR Henry U.S. Survival Rifle, developed in 1959, collapsible to 16 1/2 inches, weighing just 3.5 pounds, producing much higher fpe, and used by U.S. pilots in their survival gear kits for 50 plus years, can be had.

HMMM yeah probably, but using an actual firearm is kinda cheating, smiles.
and bullets run out, lead can be recycled.
with a bullet mold, but that gunpowder is not gonna .
and the element .30cal i gave my mom is only 3lb flat and can be hand pumped for 65fpe.
course as long as i can carry it, my hp max .51cal modded with a pump kit weighs 7 lb and puts out 350fpe for 18 shots,
believe i will keep using that.
might be a bear around somewhere. giggles

The thanks for the email. I’m doing ok. The last two years have been TOUGH. Open heart surgery followed a year later with 6 months of chemo will take it out of you. Anyway, things are MUCH better now. I shot this sometime back and it was probably later in the day. Thanks for watching.
