Listen. I work at a movie theater. I saw CATS right when it came out before the patch, and then when we got the patch, I went into the theater it was playing in during my shift and watched a bit of it. It look 10000% the exact same

Best movie: Marriage Story (Great drama with incredible acting and really solid dialogue)
Worst movie: Velvet Buzzsaw (Unfun schlocky premise with the blandest execution, boring and unlikable characters and a waste of a great cast)
Best Video Game: Resident Evil 2 remake (A mixture of the best elements of RE2 and RE4)
Best Comic: Monstress (Dark Fantasy with great art)
Best TV Show: Watchmen (Lightning in a bottle with great directing and incredibly detailed world building with solid characters)
Best Performance: Joaquin Pheonix as Joker (Up there with Ledger and Hamill)
Worst Performance: John Travolta in Fanatic ("You never go full retard")
Worst Hair: Hawkeye (...Jesus)
Best Hair: Adam Driver (anything in every movie ever until he dies p.s. Mason you're crazy)

IIRC, ABC wanted Lost to go on indefinitely, against the creators' wishes. During season 3, they were able to convince the executives to let them finish with six. Then season 4 was cut down because of the writer's strike.
I know this is old by now, but you guys left Russian Doll off the TV show list. It's phenomenal. Can't recommend it enough.
As far as animated films go, I was really hoping you guys would talk about Klaus. If you haven't seen it, then I highly recommend it! It's easily my animated film of the year.

Best de-aging for me is probably Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong in Terminator Dark Fate. Average movie overall but that part looked flawless.

Coronation Street 50th Anniversary, Tram crash episode Caravan of Garbage. I think I remember this episode was actually filmed live as well. If not, an episode around that time definitely was filmed live.
Doomsday clock is amazing i would’ve picked that as my favourite comic.
Did no one else think Joker deserved to win for "The Game Is On"? It shoehorned in all the canonical Batman shit right near the end and it felt so forced.
No, because it's not teasing an actual movie, just something we know will happen within the universe.
How is it shoehorned? You only think it's shoehorned because you can't see the events in the lens of the movie itself as opposed to the Batman lore in general. Separate the Batman lore from the film and what di you have? You have seemingly the primary antagonist of the film and a major driving force of the plot gunned down and murdered by the very people were supposed to sympathise with. What's left? A lone, frightened young boy who just witnessed his parents getting murdered. We empathize with Arthur throughout the film and were shocked to see just how much chaos and tragedy this man has caused.
The Witcher is a book adaptation.
I watched Seven after the Kevin Spacey thing came out and I've gotta say, the role pretty much fit.

Doom Annihilation is actually pretty good. It's got a much lower budget than the one with the Rock, and no well known actors in it, but it follows the plot of the game much closer. Reminded me of Jason X, but with demons and zombies.

I dunno if I'm on the same page as the last letter. I grew up with the Prequel trilogy and I do *not* love the Prequel trilogy (although I do love Maul, so maybe it got me that much at least).
Same here, if anything the prequels just made me think Star Wars was dumb and that hasn't really changed.

The animated film this year that will give you the same kind experience you were talking about with Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse is KLAUS. It had mind-blowing gorgeous 2D animation that has to be seen to be believed, and is a very well-written, funny, and heartfelt story. Seriously!

So anyways about starwars, what if palpatine made a phantom armada of 9,888 star destroyers and only 12 of them were real, or maybe 13 to 14 to 15 of them... because their expensive and he lacked the proper resources to do more then build one ever other year with his army of snoke clones
And then while rei and kylo battled them he took over kylo then forced him to pour his life into rei who he was in the midst of transferring into and the battle above was a illusion of fake ships... but Luke goes ultra ghost jedi mode along with the other ghost jedi and they alter events everywhere just a bit to make everything better everywhere simultaneously, including whispering into Luke and vader's ear to save the wookies and also to go and finish murdering or capture palpatine half alive for trial before the New Republic and the reconvened Imperial joint Senates
And they also go and capture starkiller base and save Rei and her parents by eliminating the threats to her life as a child and allow her and kylo to both have healthy happy childhoods with finn and Poe
And rose and her sister happily join a imperial turned smuggler starship crew

@@stevenfraser81 I was bored once and even wrote a draft to a spaceballs prequel called planet spaceball, about the rise of the two leaders and how one of them was not even from planet spaceball and was actually in their exotic specimens zoo and was adopted by the planets acting leader until he used his knowledge of earth politics to corrupt planet spaceball and destroy their ecology leading to the air supply issues, it basically riffed on a mix of Donald trump and used aspects of the prequels so it would feel like a proper spoof of spaceballs and starwars simultaniously

I mean the animation was worthy of that, but everything else was samey.
Not saying it's a bad movie, but it's basically just a Pixar movie but with the concept being Spider-Man instead of talking toys or whatever.
James is so wishy washy about everything that his opinion is meaningless. Maso seems to actually say what he thinks without fear. But they are both funny, and have a chemistry that's kept me listening since 2013.
He doesn't seem to be scared to share his opinion on movies because he's done it many times in other episodes, I think he just doesn't remember much about the things he's commenting on becuase he hasn't seen them in awhile.
