IIRC, ABC wanted Lost to go on indefinitely, against the creators' wishes. During season 3, they were able to convince the executives to let them finish with six. Then season 4 was cut down because of the writer's strike.
As far as animated films go, I was really hoping you guys would talk about Klaus. If you haven't seen it, then I highly recommend it! It's easily my animated film of the year.
@@LibertyBridgeProductions It's dark because her sister got sent to the Raft, which is the prison featured in Civil War. So Jessica is alone, just like she was at the beginning of season 1.
Coronation Street 50th Anniversary, Tram crash episode Caravan of Garbage. I think I remember this episode was actually filmed live as well. If not, an episode around that time definitely was filmed live.
Did no one else think Joker deserved to win for "The Game Is On"? It shoehorned in all the canonical Batman shit right near the end and it felt so forced.
How is it shoehorned? You only think it's shoehorned because you can't see the events in the lens of the movie itself as opposed to the Batman lore in general. Separate the Batman lore from the film and what di you have? You have seemingly the primary antagonist of the film and a major driving force of the plot gunned down and murdered by the very people were supposed to sympathise with. What's left? A lone, frightened young boy who just witnessed his parents getting murdered. We empathize with Arthur throughout the film and were shocked to see just how much chaos and tragedy this man has caused.
Didn't expect mentions of Geordie Shore and Coronation Street on this episode of the podcast! However, I agree, Geordie Shore IS the best Video Game adaptation
As someone who's mother used to watch Corrie all the time, for some reason there was something hilarious enjoyable about hearing them talk about the tram crash storyline!
I dunno if I'm on the same page as the last letter. I grew up with the Prequel trilogy and I do *not* love the Prequel trilogy (although I do love Maul, so maybe it got me that much at least).
Doom Annihilation is actually pretty good. It's got a much lower budget than the one with the Rock, and no well known actors in it, but it follows the plot of the game much closer. Reminded me of Jason X, but with demons and zombies.
I haven't actually seen the Lion King remake but good lord do I hate what it represents to me. I also hate that I've seen WAY too few movies this year. This past decade, even.
The animated film this year that will give you the same kind experience you were talking about with Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse is KLAUS. It had mind-blowing gorgeous 2D animation that has to be seen to be believed, and is a very well-written, funny, and heartfelt story. Seriously!
Johnson & Friends is Australian??? I remember watching this on a public tv here in Brazil. I thought it was american or something. Never thought about it until this episode. How weird was it that a f*king HOT WATER BOTTLE was consider a toy?
