👁 About this video : Today I drive the special edition 2020 Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition! This R35 Nissan GTR is finished in the infamous Bayside Blue Metallic and looks amazing! I loved checking out the 2021 Nissan GTR and was impressed with the changes! New 2021 Nissan GTR is amazing with the updated transmission and interior. The 2021 Nissan GTR comes with this blue as a standard color. The 2020 GTR 50th Anniversary has a gray leather interior that is beautiful! I loved how premium it felt and the alcantara headliner with stitching looks insane! The 2020 GTR was very fast and smooth to drive and I really like the improvements compared to my 2014 GTR! I definitely see upgrading my GTR to a 2nd gen R35 at some point. And the 50th Anniversary would be epic!

That 50th anniversary badge is very stylish. Hard to believe that me and this car are the same age! You asked should you upgrade, if that price tag won't terrify you then I'd say go for it! I agree that this is the best GTR color hands down!
I think it’s a great price for what it is. But I’ll wait till I can get a good new Gen R35 for the $80k range! Gotta save the 6 figure price tag for something else 😏

I love the sounds of the pulley in the intake sucking air when you first started up and then when you Crank It up then valve sounds with those twin turbos kicks in as a beautiful car all wheel drive too I will take one any day
This was such a fun car to drive! Compared to my 2014, it's a lot more refined and sounds good!! And that blue makes it look so good!

@@BrosFOURRSpeed I would love to see that! I actually was thinking the same thing! I love the 50th Anniversary Edition, but that racing strip and the words on the back don’t really do it for me. Plus the prices are crazy now to get one. Best option is to wrap it.
I'd take the stripe and 5ths sticker off the back for sure. So tacky just being a decal. I like the little emblem tho. I'd take the Nissan badge off too like I did on my car. Super cool spec but definitely a lot cheaper to wrap lol

I bought this model last December and I love this beast, I only get to drive it 30days out of the year so its basically an investment lol

We got pretty lucky in being able to review this spec! Such an amazing car, I love it!
Even though this is the same looking GT-R inside and out, the changes they make in terms of the transmission, engine, and overall performance should be appreciated and it more than makes up for it. Nissan has definitely matured this car heavily to ensure that this GT-R R35 is the best it can be, and it is definitely very refined now. Yes the interior is very simple and not tech focused, but that's okay, because the old school feel that this car still delivers is still really cool and something you can't find in modern sports cars.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed I think that's all the GT-R needs~~ This generation GT-R is definitely the best, and I don't care if it still has mostly the same tech, engine, transmission, etc.~~ At the end of the day, we should appreciate just the pure engineering marvel that this car is, and we as people don't know the hard work that these people at Nissan put into the GT-R. Specifically, we should be thanking the chief product specialist of Nismo, Hiroshi Tamura, since he's the father of the GT-R for 20 years, and he's the one who we should be appreciating for his life's work.

It's the color to get for sure on the GTR!! Stripe is kind of cool looking, but easy to remove!
I hope the anniversary white stripes are removable. Seems like an afterthought addition.

Yeah the actual car hasn't been changed since the original 2009 model year. Minor revisions to the tech and powertrain have slowly evolved the R35 GTR into this! Great car!
I’m considering this, NSX or R8.
I know they’re sports car, but I want the one with comfortable suspension for normal driving on less than perfect road (which is 80% of the roads out there)
Test drove base 911, but I found the ride too harsh for daily driving.

The GTR blue with white racing stripe looks like 96 C4 Corvette Grand Sport but with out the double red stripes on the finder.
I can definitely see that resemblance! I'd take the stickers off to be honest. They look cool. But I'd rather see more paint!

@@dru4135 oh ok gotcha! Our prices are a bit different then. But in USD about $80k is the low end for the second generation R35
@@BrosFOURRSpeedto be specific, the cost for mine was around 79800 euros. So in dollars at that time, which was around May this year, that was about $93k.

U mentioned getting a '17. Personally I'd get a 15-16 cause they took some of the rawness away after that haha. I was so close to getting it but instead got a '18 RS3, much better daily driver lmao
For me a 15-16 would be the same as my 14. So I’d want the newer car that looks different on the inside. But I still notice plenty of rawness in the 2nd Gen car. It’s enough rawness to be awesome. But not enough to be annoying around town

As a first car, if you had to choose, would you choose a 2021 Nissan GTR or a 2021 Mustang GT? And which would have an overall, better driving performance?
GTR all day! A GT Mustang isn't even close to anything of what a GTR has to offer. Keep in mind a GTR cost $120k new while a GT Mustang is like $45k. So people aren't going to be cross shopping these cars. Both are great for the money they cost but a GTR is a true supercar and has so much fun factor. Mustang a cool sportscar for cheap

You forgot to open to exhaust valve bottom right under the steering column.
I didn't see that button. Is it further under the 12v outlet? Couldn't even see it when in the seat.

hahah yeah the stock GTR is nothing special sounding. Mine is straight pipes with the exhaust valve open and it is music to my ears!

I agree! I loved driving the newer GTR! Epic vehicles and some great refinements!
Any big difference from this and the Nismo?
Biggest thing will be suspension setup and tuning. I think Nismo gets slightly bigger turbos and just a tad more power. And then aggressive cosmetics and carbon fiber everywhere. To be honest I think the other trims are a waste of money. You will spend $200,000 on a Nismo, when a Premium is half the price and its like 90% the same car. I love my premium!

@@quinton5072 Honestly I enjoyed the GTR more. I don’t fit too well in the Spider R8. So I wasn’t too comfortable. The GTR is just so comfy and you can feel way more power! And this is half the cost. Also I like the simplicity of the GTR interior. Not a fan of the big screen in the Audi. Way to confusing with all the controls

This is an amazing car! But this is part of the 2017 refresh. So this is only 4 years into the 2nd generation R35. My 2014 has the previous interior from 09-16
I want to buy one is it offordable I checked the Google insurance Rates comes to like 150 200 a month
Insurance depends on a lot of factors. Driving record, zip code, deductible, if you pay in full, etc...

However I'm getting a new policy with a new company and I got it lower with still full coverage and it's now only $1,000 per year!

Most likely. Pretty much everything would fit. Not sure about current downpipes or fuel Injectors. But I'd swap over a good portion! Would be a fun car trade!

Nice that for 2021 you can get this color on the normal car. I didn't think I'd like the grey, but I actually did. But it's all appearance, so if you're not into it, no need to spend more $ on it. I love my premium!

I just noticed 2014 GTRs appreciating a bit this year in 2021. Not sure about the 2020s.
It did! Looks like mine is worth about $70k. I paid $67 three years ago! The newer cars are holding values well. Dipping maybe only $10k lower then brand new price

I agree! I drove a Huracan the same day I filmed this car. Enjoyed the GTR much more! Huracan really isnt my favorite car to drive. Huracan EVO is another story! Much nicer car

This car is really no different than the Premium...why pay extra for primarily a paint job...I'd buy a used GTR Premium with relatively low miles over the 50th Anniversary and save me some money
Yeah like I said in the video this is based on the premium. It’s the same car. You just get the color, decals, premium interior in grey, the Alcantara headliner and blue tint on wheels. Used market the 50th anniversary car doesn’t really hold much value over a premium trim level that has the upgraded interior package. But this color is a standard color for 2021.

Yeah I think the back is a bit too busy. I’d take off the Nissan badge and the 50th sticker. And just leave the GTR and 50th emblem
But I like the subtle logos in the car on the seats and gauges

that decal on the rear boot is terrible.who the hell wants to run around with that on the back. the blue /grey interior is yucky colour.
Yeah I don’t like that! I’d take off the Nissan badge and the 50th sticker. And leave the GTR emblem and 50th emblem. And I’d take of the stripes 😅

Waste of money...GTRs are nice cars, but I would get a used model starting back from 2017--2020 models
This is nearly brand new tho. So a nice discount over new. I’ll wait for this generation GTR to be in the $80k range.

That'd be a crazy car! But with the power and precision, you just couldn't keep up with how fast the engine response. But it'd be cool!
