  • what we’re doing here in this upper body, strength and power day is utilizing a method called the French Contrast Training Method, which can provide a huge stimulus to building explosive power.
    However, there is a drawback to it the French Contrast, Training Method is extremely taxing on your bodies central nervous system,
    so if you do French Contrast Training, 3,4,5 times a week after a couple of weeks your central nervous system is going to be fried and your central nervous system is largely responsible for how much power you can produce because it influences how much muscle recruitment you can elicit, and also the rate at which you can contract those muscles
    so inside of the Peak Performance program we use the French Contrast Training Method during our peaking phase which is our fourth phase of training that we are currently in right now, but we only have it two times a week.
    The other two days are full body training sessions were one is focus on density, and then the other is focus a little more on power and some mobility movement quality and a little bit more conditioning.
