One of the best NASCAR videos ever, the sound is incredible. NASCAR execs need to watch this and remember why the sport got popular. There's just nothing like 40 V8s, all screaming by at 200mph. If they seriously try to go hybrid/EV they will be digging their own grave. Long live the V8.
If NASCAR ever put their effort into fully renewable fuel, oil execs would be out of jobs within a week. Long live the king, V8!
Ngl a Hybrid car would be amazing in restarts with the torque and if they keep a V8 in it, it can add more horsepower, but have a whine up and distinctive noise kinda like a V8 Supercar.

Hybrid means they can keep a v8 while maintaining fuel restrictions. It doesn't change the sound

i think the cup cars sound just as good as the did in 2014 now that the 550hp package is gone. love that low growl
The 2014 engines weren’t really a low growl, they were much more pitched because their rev range was higher. But I agree. Two different sounds, equally as good
The next gens probably have the most bass out of all the Cup Series generations.
People will always complain about the new cars, but this really gives you an appreciation of their speed and sound, and the atmosphere at the track in general. It’s awesome!
Gen 7 cars sound incredible in person. Highly recommend everyone listen to them up close before NASCAR completely self destructs with some woke hybrid/EV nonsense.
Sitting near the start finish line and hearing the pack coming through 3/4 never gets old

i was at this race, i was near the seats you where at and i havent been to a nascar race at this tarck since 2017

But yet they say that nascar drivers are not athletes. Other sports your life isn't put at risk near this much and not just anyone can drive these cars around this fast this long. Would like to see a pro football player try it and see how long before they tap out.
I mean i agree with the risk. But not anyone can pick a basketball or football and just play in the nba or nfl… it goes both ways yunno… you gotta practice that all it is
