Same mate. i love having one of these again. building one from scratch is always more enjoyable aswell. not so much on the pocket but to know you did it all is always better.
Would love to check it out mate, im not sure what on the exact shock as i used to own a online parts business and i got mine from a heap of NOS i bought. the brand on them is columbus
Any specific reason why you flipped the leafs instead of resetting? Does it ride bumpy at all with leaves like such or are all the bumps absorbed through bag and shock? Planning on doing mine soon with a mono leaf setup also!
If im being honest it was just a spare of the moment decision but also iv reset leaf's before and then you still need blocks to get it to sit low then bags to raise. this way at the height i drive at the leaf is actually still curved but the other way. i think it rides better. handles more like a car on good coilovers. but when i did reset leafs it was a bit more wobbly in the rear
@@RCSMediaDivision Wicked! Definitely something ill take into consideration with a Mono setup 🤟🏽 Not sure if my math skills are all there for a 4link setup just yet hahah
when welding the top bag brackets, youre standing on the bag to put pressure so you can tack it to the chassis rail. @12:18 is the bag fully extended and youre letting enough air out to just compressing it and weld the plate? im lost at the process here. is it just to make sure the plates welded in the correct spot on the rail (not on the piss)
Thats a valid point mate, this was really a bang together bag kit as i needed to use the ute, but ill be doing a C notch or full notch at some point soon just deciding what i want to do and when i do that ill be redoing pretty much everything i did anyway. i was just being impatient and wanted it low. Will be doing another video on that.
yeah bro understand. im literally copying this exact video for my 92 mitsubishi l200 lol! was just stuck on that particular part as to what was exactly happening in the video. im just looking to have some fun with the kids and this video is perfect for my build.. slap together bags on a budget is exactly what i want to do :) no show n shine car. @@RCSMediaDivision thanks for the video!
@@lorisk9296 To be honest the bags work really well and even with it thrown together im happy with it. thats why im hesitant to do a notch. but ill keep thinking on it. Youll have a ball with it once done mate. glad to hear your doing it as family fun. teaching kids this stuff is so important these days.
I cut the input shaft down about 10-20mm from memory as when you go this low it jams the tailshaft into the gearbox so i wanted to pull it back out so not as much pressure on it. i did make up brackets to space it forward but it doesn't actually need them so i dont have them anymore. you can just die grind out the factory holes a bit and it will work.
Hey Mate, If your doing it yourself you just need to buy a second hand commodore airbag kit for a VT VY VX VZ or a buy a new basic minitruck kit. then its just lots of time. provided you can weld.
got a bolt on turbo kit, manifold and dump will bolt strait in. The chinese t28 framed turbo is pretty fucked now tho. might have a garret of a s15 laying around somewhere if your interested
Sorry mate, did not see this. yer going to turbo it for sure. iv seen a couple decent kits in the states. iv seen the basic ones on ebay but i want a full kit with cooler and what not

Hey mate what did you do when the drive shaft was more forward then the bolt up location? You made brackets was that for that or?
