I think I it’s a question because even when he is bad he’s a big game player and he is one of those players that can create goals out of nothing even when the team is bad

The British media will always make excuses for one of their own. His form was affected by what happened to Jadon Sancho. What a load of nonsense. Rashford’s form has been terrible since Carabao cup last year. He also hardly starts for England. What a non story.
If I were building a team for the 2nd toughest international competition in football and I want my team to win, no way a player like Rashford is coming in, there are many players who deserve to play ahead of him.He has not scored even 10 goals in more than 40 games this season, England did a good job not picking him

The fact that this has to be 'explained' beyond simply - he hasnt been good enough, sums up the issues with how England have been picking their squad.
He hasnt just beem out of form for a couple of weeks. Not even a couple of months. He has been a shadow of his former self all season - and he has been played enough so no excuses there.
I remember reading a commenter say that we shouldn’t give Rashford that massive new contract last year, specifically for this reason. He would take that money and produce nothing. I thought he was 🥜. Whoever you are, you were a fortune teller. Here we are 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😣

I know this is controversial, but i think rashford should be in the squad, yeh his club form has been sub par, but he has always performed for England when asked. He has tournament experience. He has the ability to score and impact from the bench. Id fancy Rashford coming on as a late sub over Eze, Bowen, Gordon and Watkins.
Rashford didn't get picked cos this season he just wasn't good enough, but Southgate yet again has picked his FAVOURITES, but saying that most of the young talent he has picked wont even get a look in

First time Gareth Southgate has tried to pick a team on merit. As a Man Utd fan, i don't see why Rashford on current form deserves a place ahead of Toney. The other media darling playing for Man City who's always celebrated by the media when drunk does not deserve a spot as well.

What a stupid question! Look at his season on and off the pitch, yes he has burts of quality but he is not ready for this squad. There are better in form players that play that position and we need that if we are going to win the thing. He would have been a weak link in the team for sure
It's time for Rashford to get sold be United, if he's letting Sancho anchor him down into a downhill spiral like Paul Pogba. If he's not England Quality then why should he be United quality? He has the potential and he's no Anthony Martial, so if it's mental then he needs to move on for the better of his career and the club.

Rashford's time has come and gone. At this stage in their careers I would rather see Watkins over Rashford on the big stage for England as the centre forward as Kane's now in the sunset of his career. I would even try playing Kane a deeper forward just the front two, acting as supplier and taker of goals. A Bergkamp, if you will.

Kane consistent in what the English call the farmers league, in every big game that bayern needed him this season he was no where to be found, he went to an awful league with the biggest team and won nothing says it all really
