While he was signing, another red player came over and started chatting with us. He asked if I had anything to sign, and I had bought a reds team set so I handed the whole pack to him. He found his card, signed it and handed back the card while he pocketed the rest of the team cards. I was so mad at the time, but I guess it was worth it for a Joey Votto autograph and story. I met Joey at the Social Security office in downtown Cincy. We were the only 2 in the office at the time. He walked in and sat down near me and proceeded to have a casual convo with me like I was a regular guy just like him. I didn't bother him for an autograph or a pic (even tho I did sneak a few picks of him, hehe). He was such a nice and cool guy. I love Joey. Cincinnati loves Joey. Future HOF'er
Joey Votto has changed so much with the Media. Ten years ago he basically refused to talk to the media or was very short with them. I think he realizes he was a little bitch at times early in his career and knows his time as an MLB is running out.
It's funny Joey mentions a scooter. That's exactly what I bought last year (motorbike) and I absolutely love it! It's actually what my channel is about. I don't know if he means a moto-scooter, but I hope so. I can't imagine those guys pushing one of those kid scooters by foot. Who knows...I can't find much on that. Anyway, everyone needs to ride a scooter! 100mpg how can you go wrong? :)
He was always just sarcastic and socially awkward so he rubbed off the wrong way. Now he’s more open and jokes a lot more so he just seems a lot friendlier 🤣
