Markham Crew Shreds Alafia 2019 - Swamp Gap Crash

- Was excited to jump on this trip last minute. Mayo made arrangements to have Alafia local Dustin tow the boys in over the swamp gap. It's a massive gap of about 30 feet. Kody couldn't wait and decided to just go for it without the tow. Things didn't quite work out as planned.

I see a bunch of new stuff at Alafia since we visited last year, most above my level but the berm looks fun, nice riding.

He was ok. Well the next day. That day he felt like garbage. Luckily nothing broke and his bike was even fine. The next day he rode motorcross.

Yea, it's epic. I didn't hit. I knew it wasn't for me. Its ony for the top few pro's. Th e run up speed you need plus the gap size pushes me to "nope". Hahaha.
@@XCBen I wanna get good enough to hit it! I'm still scared of that lip on the last jump is the jump line at Markham though lol. I had a nice helmet breaking fall there about a month ago.

The locals said it was one of the busiest days they have seen. I can jump but gaps are a no go for me. I'd rather watch. I am surprised they all went for it even though the first run went so bad.
I’m a no go on gap jumps as well, I witnessed a missed jump while there as well, scary!
I don’t know man. I have broken bones from motorcycle accidents. Plus I’m in my 40’s so I’m like....is it worth it? If I had only started mountain biking earlier in life but at this stage, I don’t think I can ever make that jump. My luck, I land right on a gator!

how did he tow them in? Dirtbike? I wanna try it but Im worried I might not clear it without a tow in. Ive seen multiple videos of people coming up short because they don't have enough speed.
We got towed in by a local who built it names Dustin. Try getting with a local and matching their speed.
