We need another Sass Jordan video! Love her music.
I had this album "Rats" when it came out in the 90's, along with Soundgarden, my all time favorite rock band!
"High Road Easy" is tremendous also!
Thanks to you and your Patron for this trip down memory lane! Sass is one of my favorite Canadian rock singers. Other great songs by her, High Road Easy, Make you a Believer, Who Do you Think You are, Suns gonna Rise.
Rock on!
"Rats" is a banger album from start to finish. Check her out live with Jeff Healey "Make Me A Believer". Two Blues legends.
I've loved Sass Jordan's voice since hearing her debut on MuchMusic
Its great that Sass Jordan had made a reaction video. Sass rocks. Her Racine album was the soundtrack of my life for 2 years.
I have LOVED Sass since the first time I heard her in the 80's. She sings from her toenails UP and gives it all she's got, and WHAT a voice...I hope you react to more, she's still performing today and just as good.
This entire album is fantastic! The single, “High Road Easy” just freakin’ rocks. I saw her a couple of times, in Las Vegas, but it was for her band S.U.N. She didn’t do any of her solo stuff ☹️, but her voice still sounds great! Her 2nd album is really good, too
Cool!
The level of emotion she brings to every song is something extremely rare. Saw her and her band in a club in Nashville around '95, still stands as one of the most electric shows I've ever been to, and I've been to many 1000s in my 60+ years.
Awww that’s amazing! I always say when I die, I’m gonna ask God, or whoever is up there “how many shows have I been to?” lol
HI dear Ashlena ! Wow, I have tn say, rhat I heard the name Sass Jordan several trmes before, but never listened to her, or even looked her up here on youtube... so thank you for that "eye- and ear.opener" ! My thoughts and opinion pretty much match yours. Her voice is phenomenal and matches the kind of music, I would attend concerts from. So if she woule be giving concerts around where I live, I now would definitely consider going there ! Her voice is a mixture of Bonnie Tyler and Janis Joplin, I would say... although both of them have more "dirt" in their voices than Sass Jordan. Can't wait to see you react to more from her. If I cóme across any interesting song, or video, I will definitely let you know !
Best wishes from Germany : Gerry
Thanks Gerry! Glad you enjoyed it!
Never heard of Sass Jordan, great voice and song. 🤘
I think you will like Northward, While Love died. Great rock song with one of the best all round female singer I know. It’s a one EP project, but really awesome. 🤟
Yeah! Thanks for covering Sass Jordan.
OMG I totaly forgot that woman!!... Her voice is so close to Janis, something like the same energy, sadness bluesy vibe. Thank you for bringning me back 30 yrs behind... geez I'm getting old 🤣🤣
Hahahaha 🥰
I always liked Sass Jordan she's great. I always think of her when I hear Lzzy Hale sing especially in this song.
What I thought too! Lzzy always amazes me with her vocal versatility and her ability to switch on a dime to hard rasp/grit. I got Joplin vibes from Lzzy, and Sass as well.
Thanks Richard and Ashlena. I truly love Sas's vocals. I would know her sound anywhere. She was huge in Canada. Lucky I stumbled on her way down here in Texas. The whole Rats album is a gem. The lead guitar player Stevie Salas is way underrated.
Sass is in her 60s now and she is still pure rock and roll
You go girl, turn it way up. Sass is amazing and powerful.
Never heard of this lady beforehand I think, but damn, what an awesome voice :) Such a pleasure to hear her sing, thx
No problem!
Hi I like Sass's voice. She was a judge on Canadian Idol. FYI Alissa white gluz from Arch Enemy was on Canadian Idol.
I auditioned for the first year of Canadian Idol. Got to the round right before meeting the judges.
High Road Easy is a killer tune by Sass too. It was a radio song back in the day.
We all love you here in vancouver sass
Keep rockin!!!
Love the Blues and, like you said, the song is bluesy for sure. Don't think I've heard of her, but I liked it.
Sass jordan... Teenage memories. Unique voice. Such an underrated singer. I have often asked myself why, because objectively there is no reason. I ended up telling myself that it had simply been his choice. Only she could answer this question. Fortunately, she was able to sing all her life and she still does.
Oh, this takes me back. I saw her perform at a bar here in Kingston back in the 80s.
I heard her stuff on the radio and MuchMusic at the time, but never bought an album... I think maybe I'll do a gym session with whatever I can stream from her on Amazon Music next (that's where I listen to music to distract myself from the boredom)
Let me know what songs catch your ear
@@ashlenamusic I also have a hard time remembering song titles, so back from the gym I had to consult the AllMusicGuide. I remember High Road Easy being worth a listen, and Tell Somebody. And an odd song called Ugly. It seems her stuff has 2 modes... pop/rock and blues. I prefer the way she does blues and it's more timeless.
Check out "Ugly" and "High Road Easy" by Sass - great stuff!
Evidently, I came for the wrong kind of Pissin'. Whoopsie. Great review either way. 🤘
Hahahahahaha
Great reaction! Please check out her songs "High Road Easy" and "Make You A Beleiver"!
How about Patty Smith "Because the Night"? Have you heard that yet?
Ashlena, whether you do a reaction to this or listen on your own,the live version of this on Much Music is a killer performace.
Awww good ‘ol MuchMusic
👍 💥 Nice vocals. 🖖❤
Sass Jordan 🥰🥰
wait but ashlena have you ever listened to lily allen, a british pop icon who so many artists like RAYE has draw so much inspiration from she’s so underrated she only released 4 albums over 20 years
Of course I love lily allen!
This was written about her Drug abuse and how she battled her demons. Thus "Now my whole world's going crazy because I thought it was Love, but I found it was a Monkey, not an Angel from above" At that time, she realized her addiction was like the saying there is a Monkey on my back..., and she bravely fought it off and became straight again.
That is why the video and song are so dark....
Wow!!!
for another great female rock vocalist is Sate - Warrior
Ritchie Kotzin was on Poison for an album
Cool! No idea who that is lol
@@ashlenamusic you named him in the video
🤪 it’s an old video my bad
Sass, inmy humble opinion, leaves all others un the dust. Goose bumps.
