White Lions song "Wait" is definitely worth a reaction , y'all should give them a listen. At the very least it would give J a chance to ring the new artist bell.
Michael Wagner who produced records for most of the 80’s glam and rock bands including great white and white lion said that even with George lynch and Eddie Van Halen (RIP) being in his top 5 favorite guitarists he’s ever worked with, that the only way he’d ever come out of retirement to do another record was of Vito bratta ( guitar player for white lion) agreed to get the band back together and do a record. some of the solos that made it on the records were just his warm up takes before they went about really trying to record them the man’s incredible on the guitar
Outstanding band, Mark Kendall is the guitar player in the and Jack Russell is one of the bluesiest singers of the era. You definitely need to see their cover of Once Bitten Twice Shy, banging song, Call It Rock n Roll is another good one too.

@@patriciaschoedler8360 The club owners and the band's manager were found guilty of negligence. Jack Russel was put on trial but found not guilty, if memory serves.
It's a shame you reacted to the shortened version of this song. The full length is so much better. And here are a few other classic Great White you should react to ... 1: Old Rose Motel 2: House Of Broken Love 3: Face The Day 4: Afterglow
Sleazy Bluesy!! (& that is meant as the ultimate compliment). Vocalist Jack Russell, ( that’s really his name, like the dog), has a tremendous range. And the rest of this band is criminally underrated. They got pigeon holed as just another hair band. And the tragic fire in Rhode Island derailed their trajectory. House of Broken Love is another Fantastic song. They also do a Zeppelin tribute album that is the best I’ve ever heard.
Lady red light is a great song for sure......funny how ya forget all the great rock and roll of the 80s and 90s........soooooo much good music and c9ncerts ya kind a remmember
I always thought Great White were a decent band but I’m from the Rhode Island area and the Station fire happened there. So I find it hard to listen to them anymore. I don’t really blame the band for the fire, it was a terrible accident. I know people who went to the show. This is probably the first time I’ve heard them since the fire. You both did a great reaction and I think it was a great step that I could watch the reaction without getting upset. Thank you for that.
I have downloaded the footage of when the fire started above the Drummer’s Alcove due to flammable soundproofing foam to when the whole building was fully involved. I only watched it once and it gave me PTSD because of the people. I a, only keeping the footage because I want to figure out a way to stop these tragic deadly fires from happening and I need an example to shake lawmakers, communities to say no more code violations due to bribes and exemptions. In 1940’s the Coconut Grove in Boston, in 1977 the Beverly Hills Supper Club in Southgate, Kentucky, in 1980 the MGM Hotel & Casino (Now Bally’s) in Las Vegas, Nevada, I forget the Nightclub name that caught fire that killed many in Alberta, Canada in 1983, a nightclub in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1985 that was set on fire killing many, The Station Night-club fire in 2003 in Warwick, Rhode Island, then in 2016 in California recently at a makeshift nightclub in an old warehouse.
Great White is great band from the 80's. My favorite song is probably most people's. " Once Bitten, Twice Shy ". It's a song that is a must to react too!!!
Thank you for doing Great White! I got to meet Jack Russell when Great White played in our town, and he was so sweet and kind with the fans. Nice to see him get some love here!
That "white Slash" is the underrated Mark Kendall on lead guitar! Great blues guitarist who had some electric solos in the catalogue of the band. Also, the lead singer, we must mention, is the very much underrated singer, Jack Russell. You may or may not be able to remember Great White as the band who had the tragic Rhode Island fire. Also, very important to note, Great White, before they had their own album, were a Led Zeppelin tribute band in the 80s. Jack Russell sound VERY MUCH like Robert Plant, and when singing Zeppelin, can sound nearly identical. I believe I was the one who suggested Great White's Rock Me, and I don't know if anyone else did as well, but I'm shocked you went with a song I suggested!
...the white slash - what a compliment! Even though he's old enough to be slashes dad LOL I'm sure he would take that as a compliment haha I would! ..Rock on people 👍🏻✌🏻✊🏻
There are some bands that stood above the so called "hair metal" scene, even though they were considerd part of it, and this is one of them. One of the best concerts I ever saw was Great White co-headlining with Tesla in '89, and Badlands opening for them. Tesla and Badlands are two more you should check out, especially Badlands, since nobody ever reacts to them. Try "Winter's Call", "Streets Cry Freedom" or "Devil's Stomp".
Oh yeah...my playlist is full of Great White songs. They remind me of being on a boat sipping wine coolers in the 80s during summertime. All the suggestions here for them are great, but I don't think anyone has requested "maybe someday" from them. It's super bluesy...they're a bluesy rock band with Zeppelin-like stylings. They even did an album covering all Led Zeppelin songs.
Love the reaction, and the song is fantastic. Just a suggestion but when choosing a song version always pick the longest version. Unfortunately radio edits were a thing in the 80's and 90's, and they pretty much always did a disservice to the song. Great reaction, next Great White reactions need to be House of Broken Love, Lady Red Light, The Angel Song, and GW's Led Zeppelin cover of Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
*I loved it when Amber got all happy...when the drummer got all CHUNKY with it. There's a few more by them that are "MUST REACT TO" songs. Try these for starters: House of Broken Love__Save Your Love__Once Bitten Twice Shy. They were really good Live.*
This is one of the sexiest songs ever! It’s purely the music more than the lyrics. Feel lucky that I had the opportunity to see them in concert a few times, small venues which are the best
You don't want to use the word FIRE around Great White. In 2003, a venue fire killed 100 concert attendees. The pyrotechnics set the small club on Fire and even one of the band members died. It was a horrible tragedy that scarred the band to this day
Great White was one of my favorite bands back in the day. I had already seen them several times when the day before they played The Station I called my clubbing buddy to see if he wanted to go. He recently had his first child and his wife was away for work so he decided no because finding a baby sitter etc.. Seeing how I seen them already and it was on a work night I stayed home to. I heard about the fire the next morning on the way to work and in the 40 minutes or so drive the death toll more then doubled. I have friends who were there that made it out and some who didn't. I had been there many many times and new the staff fairly well. One of my friends helped do the sound for a lot of the bands that played there and i'd stay after closing and help him wrap up the equipment. I even carried out Blue Oyster Cult's guitar speaker cabinets for them lol. Sadly Great Whites music used to be a source of pleasure but now it's more a remembrance of pain.
Was going to say the same. Had to scroll a bit to see a mention of it. I know they don't know about it but it's worthy of a title edit. Such a sad event.
Great White was in a class by themselves! Not only do they bring it in every song, but they can transition to songs like "Save Your Love" which is mellow and absolutely beautiful. Also, don't overlook "Once Bitten Twice Shy" and so many more by them. I think they are one of the most underrated bands in Rock history!

Hey Guys. I'm loving your 80's metal reactions today but, I can't watch this video, or any from this band. To many bad memories. Back in 2003, I went to see them live in Rhode Island. A few minutes into the show, the Pyro they used, set off a fire. It spread rapidly, and within minutes, the venue was almost completely engulfed. I was late to the show, and was near the back of the crowd. I was lucky enough to escape relatively unscathed. Only minor injuries from being pushed and stepped on. Not to mention the ptsd. However, about a hundred or so died as a result, and hundreds more injured. So forgive me if I pass on this one. May those who lost their lives that night, rest in peace. 😢💔
You are not kidding, that is the real deal. Also same song from Page/Plant 1998 at the Amnesty International charity concert, It has one of Jimmy Page's best solos and Robert Plant is caught gazing at him in wonder at one point. If they think they have heard really great guitar since reacting to rock, they need to hear and see this, it will blow their minds!
This was a shortened version of the song. The full length original deserves a listen so the whole composition of it can be appreciated the way it was meant to be

I jumped to click when I saw the title. So glad you found this one! When White Snake hit and this came out, it was one of my favorite ever reach-to-crank-the-volume songs. Love how it rolls through low, slow, seductive to rockin', and round again.
Great White is easily one of my top 5 bands of the 80s. This is not the best version of the song it doesnt flow nearly as well as the album version.. MTV video versions usually donnt. If you want PEAK Great White where Jack Russell the lead singer and Mark Kendall (lead guitar} really flex check out The Angel Song, House of Broken Love, Old Rose Motel, Cold Hearted Lovin', and Desert Moon which is a fun rocker.
That wasn’t even the longer version, give that one a listen, it will rock you even more! One of my faves, they are so underrated, it’s just not fair. I had the pleasure of seeing these guys open for Whitesnake in '87 and then Kiss a couple years later. They put on a great show, and sounded great each time.
Yes, you finally did some Great White. Loved the reaction, J and Amber. Knew you would like it. Great White is one of my top three 80s "hair" bands -- Dokken and Tesla being the other two. Great White have this great blues-influenced hard-rockin' sound. The "white Slash" is Mark Kendall, a great blues-influenced guitarist and nice guy -- I visited with him about ten years ago after a GW concert. The vocalist is Jack Russell, one of the great voices of the genre. The talented Michael Lardie is guitarist, keyboards, piano, harmonica, and song writer. Tony Montana was the bassist at this time. And Audie Desbrow is the one settin' off the drums. For a heavy blues rocker check out "House of Broken Love" (1989) -- their live performance of it at the 1990 American Music Awards is good version. Good examples of their rockers are "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" (1989), "All Over Now" (1987), "Call It Rock N Roll" (1991), and "Step On You" (1992). You will love their ballads: "Save All Your Love" (1987), "She Only" (1989), "Lovin' Kind" (1991), and "Maybe Some Day" (1992). The "must listens", though, are "The Angel Song" (1989) and "A Short Overture/Mother's Eyes" (1994). Enjoy watching your reactions, J and Amber.
Great White rented the room next door at the practice studio in Anaheim, California where my boyfriends band (at the time, back in the early 80s) also practiced, so I was a fan from their early beginnings. They were so down to earth back then. Jordan -- if you're learning bass and really want to hear an incredible talent, listen to The Beatles, "Something". Paul's bass playing was always great, but it was spectacular in that song!
I'm a huge Great White fan. One of the best power ballads you'll ever is Save Your Love. My wife hated rock music until she heard that song and now she loves rock music.
If only Whitesnake wasn't from the 70s and 3/5ths of the band Deep Purple, Mach 3...then maybe you wouldn't be so full of shit
I love Great White! Once Bitten Twice Shy, Save Your Love, House Of Broken Love...Great songs.
Outstanding band, Mark Kendall is the guitar player in the and Jack Russell is one of the bluesiest singers of the era. You definitely need to see their cover of Once Bitten Twice Shy, banging song, Call It Rock n Roll is another good one too.
The first time I heard his voice I thought somehow Robert Plant and Klaus Meine produced an offspring.😁
I was so excited to see you finally reacting to this!! They are such an underrated band. Next on your journey with Great White...Once Bitten Twice Shy!! It won't disappoint 🙌
Absolutely!!
Knowing of the tragedy that happened at a small venue show in Rhode Island, that tagline hits different, Jay.
Yup. I lived next to the hospitals they were being flown into all night in Boston. I'll never forget it.
Innocently painful title.
It's very unfortunate that I will forever think of The Station nightclub fire with any mention of Great White.
😢
Will always have a soft spot in my heart for Great White...they were victims of that fire just like everyone else...
@@patriciaschoedler8360 The club owners and the band's manager were found guilty of negligence. Jack Russel was put on trial but found not guilty, if memory serves.
Mark Kendall is the guitarist and check out Congo Square off Great White Hooked album its off the hook
It's a shame you reacted to the shortened version of this song. The full length is so much better. And here are a few other classic Great White you should react to ...
1: Old Rose Motel
2: House Of Broken Love
3: Face The Day
4: Afterglow
How can you not have one of their biggest hits which was Save your love!
RIP Jack Russell
I loved when he called the guitarist a white Slash hahah
Sleazy Bluesy!! (& that is meant as the ultimate compliment). Vocalist Jack Russell, ( that’s really his name, like the dog), has a tremendous range. And the rest of this band is criminally underrated. They got pigeon holed as just another hair band. And the tragic fire in Rhode Island derailed their trajectory. House of Broken Love is another Fantastic song. They also do a Zeppelin tribute album that is the best I’ve ever heard.
I went to see White Snake and Great White opened. I was extremely impressed. Been a big fan ever since.
Their biggest song was Once bitten ,Twice Shy.
Lead singer here is Jack Russell.
A very under-appreciated Band, great blues under tones in all their music and blessed with one of the best guitarist !!
Great white has been described as blues with balls.
Great White - "Save Your Love" .. is another listen worthy song.
GREAT song, next song to check out by Great White, " Lady Red Light"
Yessssss ☺️
Lady red light is a great song for sure......funny how ya forget all the great rock and roll of the 80s and 90s........soooooo much good music and c9ncerts ya kind a remmember
One of Mark’s best solos in that one!
@@sirloin6662 absolutely
There is some tragic history with Great White, The Station Nightclub fire in 2003 in Warwick Rhode Island. It was devastating!
Love me some Great White, got started with the Once Bitten album. Love the entire albums of once bitten, twice shy, and hooked.
I saw this band with The Scorpions in Philly in the early 90's. What a concert. It's so sad what happened to them.
Alot of people had/have trouble listening to The Who after Cincinnati. No excuses neccessary, good sir.
It was actually the managers fault as well as the club owner.
Very understandable comment.
@@lindenarden667 Nine times as many people died at the Great White show, which was in a small club.
Top shelf great white tune 🎉
Even though he's old enough to be slashes dad LOL I'm sure he would take that as a compliment haha I would! ..Rock on people 👍🏻✌🏻✊🏻
"Lady red" , and "Once bitten" light is a good one also..good bluesy, piano, just a good tune ✌🏻
I saw that concert as well. Most people had never heard of Badlands
Mark Kendall is the lead guitarist. He's one of the best from that period of time.
"Save your Love".....please put this on your list to listen to ! Great ballad from Great White
It's said way too often, but this band is truly underrated. Need more. 🇺🇲🤘
I "LIKED & SUBSCRIBED!"... Welcome to GREAT WHITE!
Now, you need to listen to Kingdom Come-Get it On and What Love Can Be is a beautiful ballad. Great White’s Led Zepplin covers are worth a listen 😎🖖🏻
GREAT GREAT rock band , huge fan
Love the reaction, and the song is fantastic. Just a suggestion but when choosing a song version always pick the longest version. Unfortunately radio edits were a thing in the 80's and 90's, and they pretty much always did a disservice to the song. Great reaction, next Great White reactions need to be House of Broken Love, Lady Red Light, The Angel Song, and GW's Led Zeppelin cover of Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
The radio edit on this really strips away what really made this song so great.
@@mikegibbons7763 so true
@@mikegibbons7763 It was butchered.
Agreed the original album version is much better than this !
Hope they redux with the longer version.
Been to 100,s of concerts,But Great White is still the best opening band I ever seen.
Feel lucky that I had the opportunity to see them in concert a few times, small venues which are the best
house of broken love is by far their best song
Whenever this song comes up on my playlists... EVERYONE in the cars around me gets to listen to it too...
You don't want to use the word FIRE around Great White. In 2003, a venue fire killed 100 concert attendees. The pyrotechnics set the small club on Fire and even one of the band members died. It was a horrible tragedy that scarred the band to this day
It was very sad, I remember hearing about it
Great White was one of my favorite bands back in the day.
It is so fun watching you guys see a band for the first time, that I have listened to for 40 years.
Now you _GOTTA_ do "House of Broken Love".
Love love love Great White ! Favorite is Desert Moon, Jack Russell has a great voice. Sadly the band has a rough history.
Wasn't "Desert Moon" a Dennis DeYound song?

Let's shake this town baby
Come with me

C'mon now
I know where we can go
This is the time
T'stay out all night
I've gotta fire
Like a heavenly light
C'mon baby
Let's take a drive
C'mon baby
Let's do it right
Time to dance
In the magic light
Of the desert moon
Come on honey
Let's get it right
Make romance
In the magic light
Of the desert moon
Let's lay it down
Under a cactus tree
Give a little lovin' ecstacy

It's time to go

I've got the love
And we have the night

@@gregorykenfield3134 Dennis DeYoung did have a hit called “Desert Moon”.
Great White also has a song named “Desert Moon”, even though I’m not familiar with it. The only thing I know about Great White’s “Desert Moon” is that they were playing it when the infamous fire started.
Wife here..I don't say this often..,but, this band is TRULY underated!!..Extremely talented..Had the fortunate opportunity to see them in concert at House of Blues..Myrtle Beach..Jack Russel (lead singer) was on crutches (Really) but still ROCKED the house..He was also very interactive with the crowd..Great White has an AMAZING catalog..Love the Blues influence!!
My top 3 fav. band when I was like 13. Born in 72. Glad you appreciated it guys. Take care.
You guys should check out their cover of Zeppelin's Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, they do an amazing rendition of it.
Best Zepplein cover ever
hell yeah they did an outstanding remake very awesome job
This was a shortened version of the song. The full length original deserves a listen so the whole composition of it can be appreciated the way it was meant to be
💕💕💕🎶💕💕💕💕 love his voice. Other songs by them Save All Your Love and Once Bitten Twice Shy.
Also House of Broken Love and All Over Now. 😁👍🏻🎶💕
Can't go wrong with the Angel Song
Oooff...that "This is fire!" tagline hits a bit too close to home for this group.
Great white!! So many good songs, rock me, house of broken love, save all your love, lady red light, angel song, keep going with these guys! And definitely check out their unplugged cover of babe I'm gonna leave you ( led Zeppelin) it's great!
If y'all liked that song, you'll be excited to know that there's an extended version of "Rock Me" that plays for 7:10 minutes and it's SO much better than this short version.
Trust me, the song gives you longer guitar solos and a very different beginning.
It's not "extended", it's the original.
@@thorfinsky1427 I am so so sorry!!

LOVED the 80's.... best music...MTV was really MTV! I still listen, mostly, to 80's. I'm so glad Amber really rocks now!!😁 It's so cool to see you guys get introduced to it....it's memory road, for me. ♥️🤘
Fire was a poor choice of words! Been almost 20 years, and that night still haunts people. Lost a co-worker in that fire :/
Yea, I was surprised to see that title. They obviously don't know about the fire...
Hell yes!!!! This is 1 of my favorite songs and bands. Soo glad you checked them out. Thank you😆😆
saw them in concert in late 80's! loved great white one of my favorite bands from my beloved 80s!
That wasn’t even the longer version, give that one a listen, it will rock you even more! One of my faves, they are so underrated, it’s just not fair. Mark Kendall is one of the best guitar legends in the world, he has some of the best bluesy riffs it’s unreal. These guys definitely belong in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
All I can say is absolutely awesome reaction to a great song. Love great white. This song should be played more. Thanks for this one.
Once bitten twice shy, KILLER song, great lyrics, gotta listen to it
I saw great white twice once in the 80s and once in the 90s. The guitar player on this song was badass man he was really awesome!
It's still our song 21 years later. Some other great songs: Lady Red Light, Old Rose Motel (very bluesy), Once Bitten Twice Shy, The Angel Song, and House of Broken Love.
We saw them in March on the 80s Cruise. He had an injured back and broken ribs, but he still performed and still killed it!! He even has more growl in his voice now!
Once Bitten Twice Shy is my favorite Great White song. I think you guys would LOVE it. It's a great little rocker with some nice piano in it. Plus it's just fun!!
These guys have some really great songs like FACE THE DAY, ALL OVER NOW, GONNA GETCHA, MISTA BONE, SHE SHAKES ME AND MORE. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👌👌👌👍
Love Great White, seen then a couple times in concert. It's such a tragedy what happened in RI. RIP
Amber! You are a trip, LOVE your smile and head swaying.
