These homemade dog treats are not only soooo simple to whip together, they are so great because you can customize exactly what goes into them! The best part about this versatile recipe is that you can really customize the ingredients!

Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Treats
1 cup flour (whole wheat flour, coconut flour, brown rice flour)
1/3 cup oats
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup liquid* (chicken, beef, or vegetable broth, water, etc.)
1/2 cup peanut butter (may sub mashed sweet potato)
optional additional ingredients: a mashed banana, a beaten egg, a handful of cooked crumbled bacon, about half of a grated carrot, cucumber, zucchini or apple
*I use low sodium chicken broth, but you can really use any type of liquid to bind the ingredients together depending on your dogs diet or preference.
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Stir together the flour, oats and baking powder in a bowl. Mix in liquid, peanut butter and any additional ingredients, until combined. Roll out dough and use a cookie cutter (or your hands) to create shapes. Place on a baking sheet and bake 10-12 minutes for soft treats or 18-20 minutes for crunchy treats.

We make these for our dogs every Christmas for about 7 years in a row now since i first discovered this video! Well we don’t make these “Jingle” our Elf on the Shelf always makes them with Mrs. Claus and puts them in the dogs stockings! Thank You Lindsay!

Ahh! So awesome, I have a chihuahua and a puggle, both who love to snack. I've never tried making homemade treats before and those seem a lot healthier and safer than store bought. I made these for my dogs and I'm so happy my one dog rufus liked them because he's a picky eater. That trick for sticky ingredients is brillient, my mum makes these chewy bar treat with carmal so shell remember!!!!!!! You ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another idea, you can mix one container thing (or the whole jar if that's what you have) of baby food (no grape,) with a cup of flour! Just knead it until dohey and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees! This is for if you're in a rush, and I made them for my chihuahua once, too! She LOVED them, and they are so simple! Chewy on the outside, dohey on the inside. She likes them still a bit warm. Happy baking!

I've been looking for an easy dog treat recipe, to make for x-mas gifts for my dog's friends (and my dog...lol). I don't have a dog bone cookie cutter, but am going to use a donut cutter, and make wreaths, using "Mini Canine Carry Outs" from Walmart. which are red with tiny white streaks, to decorate the wreath, and I found some star kitty treats to replace a bow. And your idea on little doggie paw prints would work on the "donut hole" and make the mini sandwiches with the peanut butter filling. Thanks so much, I love this recipe (because I don't have to go out any buy anything)...and thank you for giving me one less stressor! Happy holiday/Winter Celebration day, or which ever special day it is for you...if nothing else...Happy Un-birthday!

Just finished with a double batch. Added a little extra peanut butter and two eggs. The process was easy easy, dough did not stick to my fingers when laying it out. Rolled into little balls (I have yorkeys) cooked for 12-13 min. No sticking yea! And, not only do they love love them, so do I. Wow great recepieeee. Thanks Lindsay.

Well I've now made two of your batches up...The first time I used the 1 or 2 egg Ideals, I went with 2..I baked them in a silicone baking wear that gives you the bone and paw shape...I had them in for 20 min and they came out ok... little more soft that I wanted but did not try to re bake them because I'm no cook or a baker, I'm a biker and a fence builder..LOL :) well anyway the second batch I tried I used 1 less egg, added a tbs honey and 2 tbs of bacon bits, and baked them 22 min and they came out perfect. I think I impressed my wife a little bit too...but thank you for your video and I will subscribe to your channel because next is the dog food..Thanks again, Paul and Dede..Indianapolis, In
