Thank you so much! Other tutorials don’t explain or even slow down enough for beginners to understand but this video was all I needed, excellent, thanks 😊
Hi Lauren, I am a beginner and just started going through your tutorials and beginner course PDF. In the beginner's manual, it mention you can use embroidery floss instead of floral tape and is the traditional method. Where can I find more info about how to cover the stem using embroidery floss? Do any of your PDFs or TH-cam videos cover this? Or anywhere I can look for this info? Thanks so much, you are a wonderful teacher! Rukshan

I have a blog post that talks about measuring wire, but the same method would work for measuring how many beads to string onto the spool. That post is here: beadandblossom.com/how-to-work-with-multiple-bead-colors-in-french-beading/. But, I never bother measuring. When working with one color of beads, I string 6-10 feet at a time and make as many as I can with that length. If I run out of beads I just estimate how much bare wire I need to complete a piece, cut it off the spool and then string more beads on the cut end of wire. Working from the spool whenever possible is recommended in French Beading because it reduces wire waste from cutting too much wire, and makes it less likely that you will run out of wire for a component. You may use more or less wire than the designer just due to differences in personal technique. So, cutting wire is always a risk. But, when working with more than one color, you do have to cut wire off the spool and add beads as needed. The longer the cut wire, the more frustrating it is to work with. So, if I don't have to cut wire, I don't.
I. Like your tutorial. But I need 1 though 4 of your tutorial. Thank you I love your class. Sr. Citizen, friendship towers. Of Sayre Christian Village.❤❤😅

How do you know how many beads to string on the spool? And why not use a piece of cut wire instead? Btw, thanks for this great tutorial!
