My old job was working in a shop. We had a regular customer who’s wife was American, she’d lived in the UK for about 15 years. She hadn’t lost the accent, but she had picked up all the local slang. It’s was really odd, but kind of nice hearing North West English slang and terminology spoken with a strong American accent. And she was a super nice lady too.
Because we have a sense of humor.

I was 18 and in Sixth Form when the film came out and everyone in the club was doing the dance. I feel that this series genuinely defined a generation.
I would have been 21 so the movie came out around the time I graduated from Uni, so the series started when I was in college about 17/18. And yes, I remember the dance being done in the clubs, it definitely defined a generation!

I saw a thing about the movie (might have been the dvd extras or some thing) and they asked that woman about the scenes she did and how it was done. She said " during the dance floor scene, there was A LOT of padding involved" basically like the thickness of a diaper, stuffed into her undies, so when he was doing that rubbing motion, she wasnt actually feeling anything.

This is genuinely one of the closest depictions of the English lads/girls holiday at about 18 to a Greek island or Spanish resort. Mine was over 20 years ago and it was the same 😂

I’ve never actually gone through this right of passage in my life, neither when I was at college or before university, so I do feel like I’ve still missed out. But I’m still in my 20s so I would still love to try and experience it while I can. It reeeally does feel like a right of passage.

It was a massive hit when it first came out at cinemas. It was packed out at our local one and the atmosphere was buzzing. I remember being surprised at just how many people loved the Inbetweeners.The extras on the show were all fans who went over to be part of the event!

The second movie has its moments and is fine but it just felt a little unnecessary and would never live up to the first one

I never understand why people say it's worse, I've always thought the 2nd is superior. It's just straight up funnier than the first. And I never really liked the 'happy' ending of the first, felt out of touch with the rest of the series.
I'm glad the second film was made as it gives fans a choice to decide which ending they prefer as the proper send off. The first being the happy ending, the second being more of the tragic ending

Yep, great film. Second film wasn’t so good, but worth a watch for a bit of a nostalgia trip if you love the first one, I suppose.

Only bit I can remember is that bit when they ended up in a Rangers pub.
Bar that, I literally can't remember anything else at all fron the film.
David Schaal (Jay's dad actor) is on Cameo and does a lot of shout outs in character.

In the unrated version, there’s a quick scene where Will and Simon see Mr. Gilbert chugging beers at a bar.

Been waiting for this, great reaction video guys and can't wait for the second one.
A bit of back story on their accommodation choice, they wouldn't have picked it. In the UK, Travel Agents used to do a thing called "Allocation on Arrival" which was a cheap way of them getting rid of hotel bookings and flights they had at the last minute. You only knew the place you were going, i.e the island or city, but didn't know which town or hotel you were in. For example myself and a mate booked two days before going and got two weeks in Rhodes for $150 including hotel and flights. We were hoping we were staying in the party towns, but ended up in a fishing village at the bottom of the island, furthest from the clubs with only one taxi which was driven by the local chef so you could only get a cab when he finished cooking. So, as these lads found out, you got off the plane and someone would be holding up a sign for which bus you were on, then you'd have the nail biting experience of pulling into a shit town or shit hotel and really hoping your name didn't get called out. It was either a relief if yours wasn't called or the painful realisation that you'd struck out, the only hope being that there were even worse options down the road......
This reminded me of my holiday to Zante with mates when I was 19. Everything from the matching t-shirts to the state of the hotel. It's like a British right of passage
I laughed so much watching this video with you guys.
I remember when the film was released at the cinema I went to see it with my wife and as we sat watching, cringing and hysterically laughing at the same time my wife was elbowing me in the ribs. She pointed to a row of seats a bit further in front of us in the cinema. I burst out laughing to see a family of four, mum and dad with their two teenage kids (13-14 ish in age) sitting there!
I was like, OMG holy crap, Just made me cry laughing even more!! 🤣😂🤣🤣🤣

I love this movie, it reminds me of the holiday i had with my 3 mates to Magaluf in 1999. One of my mates had his 18th birthday whilst we were there. Good times.

This is an accurate representation of boys holidays at that age. When I was younger 6 of us went to Greece. There was a MASSIVE earthquake. It was so bad that buildings collapsed and someone died..... But 5 of us were too drunk to remember it!!

Love that film, I was there in the Harlequin centre in Watford when they filmed the dance scene and going up the escalators being called virgins. I was only 10 or something, and I just started joking in haha

The guy you said you seen somewhere else is Theo James. I didn't know he was in this film, I did musical theatre with him when I was a kid, almost fell off my chair when I saw him in this 😅 blast from the past for me there! I believe he is most known for being in the 'Divergent' films.

Neil's new girl and old girl and Jay's girl had a TV show together called Drifters.
Which wasn't as good as the Inbetweeners but it still was still pretty good and was often referred to (at the time) as the female Inbetweeners
I second that, I think I prefer Inbetweeners but Drifters definitely isn’t bad. Same with Plebs and Derry Girls
@lokephoenix1039 Derry Girls and Inbetweeners are the better of those 4 shows. Plebs and Drifters were both very good but definitely a step below. Derry Girls and Inbetweeners will be talked about still in a decade or more, but like who remembers the mid 90s sitcom Game On? They'll be random shows you find buried in BritBox or 240p uploads to TH-cam

This was the last movie i saw at the cinema with my school friends before going to university. Id not seen the tv show at that point but it was absolutely hilarious. The terrible lads' holiday i never had 😂
I remember at the time everybody was doing the whole inbetweener's dance thing at clubs which is something that's still going in the UK...my family did one at my cousins wedding last year and nobody saw it coming...the music just came on and my family just went up on the floor and did the whole dance moment.
Great movie. I consider it the example of how to do a movie based off a TV show.
The actress playing the girl talking to Will is Laura Haddock who played Star Lords dying mother in Guardians of the Galaxy.

I absolutely love this it's got alcohol sarcasm tiny bit of romance and plenty of hangovers.
Don’t go to Malia unless you are into 18-24 holidays, Stalis the next resort down is much better so laid back, great beaches, loads of restaurants down by the beach and Old Malia distanced from Malia has some lovely restaurants too, it’s about 10 mins in a taxi or there are direct buses there to. The capital Heraklion is good place to visit as is as is Agios Nickolas you can get there direct by bus it’s about 40 mins. I have been to Stalis 2/3 times and am going again this year in October.
Thank you for being the only channel who actually calls out the behaviour of Carly. It is hilarious to watch Simon fail but it's pretty messed up

You got to see Mr Gilbert at the end but there is a deleted scene of Mr Gilbert drinking with all his Mates earlier in the film and Will and Simon see this and Mr Gilbert basically tell them to go away. you want to check it out!

Parts of the movie were filmed in Magaluf, Mallorca. The Bar I once worked in when I was 21 was shown and I used to do traditional signwriting also and one of my signs on the side of a hotel was also in the movie.
