- A long hillwalk taking in the five Munros on the extensive White Mounth plateau. Lochnagar is by far the finest of the summits, but in good weather this is all a hugely enjoyable round with a great feeling of space. A superb place to wild camp! We were also lucky to get a nice sunrise and cloud inversion!
A long and exposed mountain route; in good conditions the stony tundra-like terrain makes for easy going. Steep boulderfield on the ascent of Lochnagar.

Great video! Myself and a pal were camped at the top of Lochnagar that night and I think may have seen you while we were having our porridge on Sunday morning! What a great start to the day with that sunrise and the inversion! Maybe see you on top of another hill soon!

Great video Dave & Lisa. I did those 5 the other way round starting with Lochnagar. Had similar weather to you but no midges. I remember it being a long day and my feet were killing when I got back. Kudos for carrying those heavy sacks. And bottles of bubbly!😱🤣🤣🤣

Beautifully filmed video as usual guys. That cloud inversion was a thing of beauty as was the scenery on the whole walk in those conditions. Some of the tracks there are typical of the Cairngorm area - so smooth & great to walk upon, the miles can sometimes be eaten away. Whereas in the Lake District, barring a few exceptions, it's much rougher underfoot. I'm going to try & return to the Cairngorms next Summer. Bet you were glad you found room for those small bottles of bubbly - a grand Saturday neet oot ! Take care till next time.

There’s a Scottish man who’s created a product called ‘The Smokin midge’ apparently it works amazingly well by masking the co2 as the walk or sit in a midgey area apparently people are raving about it…
