I personally think that a Tiana themed location is long overdue! She is one of the most under appreciated Disney princesses that finally gets her place in the sun.
Not surprised you didn’t like the cold brew. It’s a chickory cold brew which typically isn’t actually made with coffee. It’s used in the south as a substitute for coffee, or blended with actual coffee. If you are a coffee lover, you probably won’t like chicory. But, people in the south tend to enjoy it!
right?! My problem is I have to fly from CA back to Orlando so I am trying to figure out how I can buy one and get it home safe when I visit in early November.

The food looks good but I was so excited for the ambience of the restaurant :( I thought it would be fully sit-down and have a deeper color palette like the one from her movie. Disney has so much potential to take advantage of and they could have done more with this 🥹

The coffee is a Chicory coffee so the flavor is more woody. It’s an acquired taste. I’m from Texas and I have had my fair share of Chicory coffee and I love it.
It's so pretty! I love the light fixtures and the little Ray cube 😍. Everything looks delicious...except the sweet pickles although, ngl, I'd still try a bite, haha. Thank you for going as many times as you guys had to go to show us the menu; It is very much appreciated.

Next time you do Gumbo, take some tabasco Sauce and add a few shakes, dip your corn bread also in and now you will be true Southerners! Living in New Orleans at a young age, Mom always took my sis and I to the original Cafe' Dumond for breakfast beignets and Chicory coffee...that is what makes it bitter, it is an acquired taste. Also, hope they switch the Po Boy to catfish, shrip or crawfish by the time we visit...never have seen a beef Po' Boy, but I have seen very good reviews, along with yours! Keep up the wonderful vids!

I think you filmed this fabulous video on the day I met you at the park. You were so cordial and gracious, letting me take a picture with you. I appreciate that you showed all the different foods at Tiana‘s palace, and when I come back next month I will definitely eat there.
I also don’t remember the queue for the Mint Julep Bar being there. I always remember it being crowded in that area with people waiting for their orders so I think the official queue is a welcome change!

Have you been to New Orleans, Louisiana, French Quarter? We have and the food there is amazing. We were there during Mardi Gras….so crazy!! The Hurricanes at Pat O’Briens are super delicious, and the beignets at Cafe du Monde are the best in the world! The food at Tiana’s looks great! Thank you, M and J.

The Mint Julep queue was there before !! They might of cleaned it up a bit and organized it better, but there were ropes up as a queue before they closed for Tiana’s!!!
I went to Disneyland Sept. 14 and 28 on the 3 day So Cal pass so I went twice. The Lily Pad and Lotus Cup Ceramic Set was sold out probably since first day. I had the chicken, delicious, but what is a must is always have the cornbread! It is right next to the beignets. The beignet is the best since the lemon creme is cool, perfect for a hot day. I also had the muffuletta sandwich, four or five different tastes just fill the mouth!, I'm still thinking about it. This is exceptional for theme park food. I haven't seen the band in either trip, my favorite part of French Market. The Mint Julep was my favorite, almost always bought it, but they changed the formula. It just tastes like lemonade, too sweet, no mint flavor. I took some sips and threw it in the trash can. I hope they go back to the old Mint Julep. French Market was my primary restaurant, but now it is Tiana, an improvement.

Chicory isn’t the same as coffee. It tends to have a bitter but woody, nutty coffee like taste. Strong and subtle burned sugar taste. If Disney is trying to stay to the theme then it probably won’t be tweaked.😊
I have been waiting for this exact video. I have tried the house gumbo and cornbread (Try mixing crumbled cornbread into it... AMAZING!). My gal had the mac and cheese. I wanted to see what you both think of the chicken. I thought it a very odd sounding sauce mix, having heard that there is coffee in the rub or sauce, you might know. Glad to hear you all enjoyed it. Normally if one of you does, I will as well. I normally hate pickles, but Disney does them right so I need to get those. New Orleans seems drastically improved, at least for food. That said, I love the video and am happy to see new things come around. It makes going back feel good instead of it getting stale in our third straight year of passes.
I loved the Beef Po Boy sandwich and the red pork beans and pickled cucumbers that come with it (not a cucumber person but they’re dunked in so much flavor it’s like an entirely different thing). What surprised me was the lemon beignet was a freezing cold dessert not warm like the beignets I’m used to. It wasn’t terrible but I can’t say I liked it. I heard they’re going to change the filling flavor on that beignet seasonally.
Chicory coffee is more bitter but pairs well with real beignets (I've been told the optimal way is to eat the while hot & fresh). Either way, Chicory Coffee isn't for everyone.

I loved the grits and shrimp! I feel like it kind of tasted like Mac and cheese. I do wish the cornbread came with warm butter and honey.
