@@justanobody8031 nah the joke went over YOUR. Head.
It's true I myself have done it multiple times 9 out of those 10 times they actually do survive

"You are more likely to get struck by lightning than to be bitten by a shark"
yeah unless you're swimming in shark infested waters, then your risk factor goes up by a factor of about 10
kid to dad: aren't there sharks in here?
dad: don't worry son! You are more likely to get struck by lightning than to be bitten by a shark!
Bull Shark 20 feet away: o_O lol
who else is here because of the upcoming Maneater game?
Me, especially when you’re going to play as a bull shark in the game
TheGamingBeaver is killing it, literally
Not me lol i just like sharks
I'm here cause of my stupid school essay
I love bull sharks, but the game made me curious to learn more. Does that count?
"You are more likely to be struck by lightening than bitten by a shark"
Yeah, you spend way more time on land...
Exactly. How many humans have come face to face with a shark In the water compared to the number of people who have been exposed to lightening 🥴
"Pit bull in the sea" Bull shark: "Daley!"
I'm going to try and conquer my fear of sharks in GTAV
Not a very reassuring ending when your brother has been stuck by lightning...

Absolutely fantastic! I'm only sixteen but ever since i was five and watching these i have always wanted to study and interact with wildlife of many sorts! Wonderful video, Thank you.

Shame on you for showing this when it relates the sharks aggressiveness to Pitt bulls.
Wow the bull shark is my favourite shark in the world
Oh look, a National Geographic video thats availible in my country for a change -____-
The Oceanic Whitetip is generally considered to be more dangerous than the Bull, Tiger and White Sharks. The reason that Whitetips are not as infamous as the Bull Shark, for example, is because Whitetips tend to stay in deep waters, and Bull Sharks are know to come to shallow waters and rivers, where humans are more likely to swim.
How is it more dangerous if it stays away ? Lmao

@@Boosted_papiit’s like how lava would be more dangerous than fire but fire is more likely for you to be around
@@lyrikzsk5406fire is more dangerous lmao
I think a lot of the fear of sharks is down to films like Jaws to be honest.
The fear of sharks comes from how fast they can sprint coupled with very big teeth
During ancient times the bull sharks use to swim up stream to the Mississippi then the Missouri River. I read a story in early 1900s a fisherman caught a bull shark in his net. They called it fresh water shark at the time, near Chamberlain SD on the Missouri River. Know days no bull sharks can not swim up stream because of the dams humans build.
Not so sure about docile. It depends if they've eaten recently. If they've eaten, you're probably safe. If a bull shark is hungry, you are on the menu.
Yeah, I LOVE SHARKS! I have great respect for them, but I don't like Bull Sharks. I kind of hate them.
I never knew they could swim in fresh water too! Amazing!!!
It's the only shark to do that I believe. Or wait, I think the nurse and lemon sharks do too. But it's an unusual feature indeed. Since most sharks are saltwater fishes. And bull sharks are known to traverse and dwell in both saltwater and freshwater.
Sharks are probably the animal I fear the most.. I think IMO the most scariest things are from the ocean and rivers. I respect sharks.. I don't hate them I just would never put myself in a situation where I or my love ones might get attacked by one. But they have a purpose in this world
The insect world is the most scariest of all worlds on this planet
Nothing to add... so you move to insults. Good for you kid.
LOL I fucking love sharks, they are so fuckign awesome, I mean, I don't see how to hate them, sure fear yeah, but hate... Just no :(
bull sharks are coolests sharks on earth
Nice video with lots of information :) we've had the pleasure of diving with Bull Sharks in Mexico recently, such great creatures and very misunderstood unfortunately :/
I think anyone with common sense understands them perfectly well.
They're critical to the ecosystem. They're wild animals and have the potential to be dangerous. They should be left alone, undisturbed by scuba diving tourists.
See? Simple.
The reason why bull sharks are so dangerous is because they hunt in places where people swim in, like freshwater and shallow waters
The testosterone... Give it to me
*Cant I just find a wildlife or storm documentary without some poseur pre madonna trying to hog all the action anymore.*
Steel Fury fgzkox6lxg6rcp
Interesting. Impressive creatures.
It's important to realize that during the sinking of the USS Indianapolis, most sailors died of dehydration or exposure and were then eaten by sharks after death. Very few were actually attacked and killed by sharks. Whitetips and Makos make up a very small portion of recorded shark attacks, and although dangerous, don't statistically come even close to Great Whites, Tigersharks, or Bullsharks in terms of overall attack numbers or fatalities.

I found this both callous and misleading about bull sharks and sharks in general . Why national geographic feels the need to sensationalise and facilely simplify I don't know. They're amazing enough creatures without that nonsense and misunderstood enough to be presented far less sloppily than this (by a reputed name).
I live Houston Texas and I've seen bull sharks in Buffalo Bayou
Deep blue 3 brought me here 😁
GTA V bullshark card bought me here 😂☺
Get this, bull sharks have the highest level of testerone of any creature on the planet
More people are killed by toasters and chairs than sharks.
That's not in combination in some unusual tag team accident.
what are you sayng. it said your more likly to get struck by lightning then get bit by a shark
Wow 👍👍👍👍😀😀😀
Amazing...
And also, We must save the *Axolotls.*
Agreed
How many did they kill in the 1940's?
in the intro, i went "babies. also babies. also babies."
DJ Wubs same haha
pitbulls of the sea, the sweetest🥰
Ehhhh..........
I swam with a couple Tiger Sharks but they weren't huge.
I agree with the narrator. You SHOULD be afraid of lightning. Where's your survival instinct, dammit!?
my favorite animal is a shark i now all of them thumbs up if you love them to
Pit bull of the sea? Oh so that means they're cuddly doggos? Not to mention the misinformation on Great Whites
EDIT: I got highlighted...not sure what that means.

I think it's more because of ignorance and lazyness. People dont like learning, so how can you change their minds if they dont care. they just swallow the misleading views of other ignorant people.
2020 anyone?
Mosquitos I believe is probably the only creature besides roaches.. And maybe flies that if they go extinct I wouldn't care much about..
super cool!!!!!

Lol maneater
MAYBE... Maybe they don't go in and out of fresh water because they CAN... Maybe they do it because they NEED to.

THEY ARE FOUND IN SALT AND FRESH WATER?!!!!!!!!
HOW?!!!!!!!!!!
Ocean= only way to get killed by shark. Mosquitoe= Everywhere.
natgeo cashing in on discovery's shark week...
that thing tastes better than fish.
They should make critter cam smaller!
The only reason you would get hit by lightning before bitten by a shark is because we spend most of our time on land the second you enter shark infested water those numbers mean nothing 😒
Hello from 2022 july 5th and still on covid 19 pandemic 😌

I hate bull sharks, Sydney funnel web spiders , and spotted hyenas.
Couldn't they find a larger camera to put on the shark?
I'd love to see a Bull shark and a Tiger shark face off!!!
This is why I hate going to the beach
Bull Sharks can get as big as 700 lbs.
Sharks re amazing
Bullsharks are really bitchy, need more Hugs :-)
Hate is the wrong word. Fear is more appropriate.
i dont really like sharks they creep me out 0.0
The comparison with pitbulls was so stupid
Your also more like to be in a lightning storm than the salt water

"Probably get the name 'bull shark' 'cause they're so big and stocky."
They also have those weird bulging eyes that rodeo bulls have.
"... never venturing far from where the team caught them."
Very different from great whites, which make long-distance trips in the oceans.
And rogues are rare. Not the sharks. It isn't that we are never attacked it's just that we are usually not in infested waters where they are. These sharks do hunt humans. They do go rogue for human meat. I saw it on television while they were saying that these sharks rarely go after human beings there were 9 of them swimming together in waters that had just human beings and nothing else. NO seals or anything else. Just humans.
Years ago, while snorkeling at Looe Key off of Bahia Honda SP in Keys, FL a 7-8 foot Bull Shark came cruising by me in 30-40 feet. I wasn’t as frightened as I thought I’d have been because she/he was swimming very passively with the pectoral fins horizontal - not pointed downward. It was an amazing experience that will never forget.
Where do they get there testosterone from
Sounds good. You first!
