Douglas, EXCELLENT VIDEO. Well organized and presented. I would be honored to use this video as a short primer to help people work 3Y0J. This is so well done, it can help many people. Thank you for taking the time to post it. 73’s Larry de K7HN
Thank you OM. Need to learn F/H mode. Saw a video about 2 hours and something. Really !! You made it better !! Clear, easy. Thank you . 73 de TA2OM /at this time 3C3CA
Today I received an email on this regard and I was a bit on the confusion since I used dFT8 only 3 times. Thanks a lot for the nice explanation. That was really exhaustive. 73 de Rob 9J2RD
My Yaesu FTDX-10 moves the VFO-B down .500 kHz each time I transmit. It consistently moves the freq. down on each transmit (VFO-B). If I set the WSJT-X Radio Setting to "None," then it stops. But if setting is "Rig" or "Fake it," then the software keeps moving the transmit freq (VFO-B Split Mode) down .500 kHz each transmit. Eventually I end up way off where the published freq is posted on the DXpedition website...... and I don't make the contact. Whoever has a Yaesu Radio and knows the behavior/problem/solution, please respond. Thanks. K5BXM

FT8 is a Ham Radio digital mode. This video shows how to set Fox/Hound mode, which is used to talk to rare Dxpeditions.

When I use F/H mode it always transmits down , and usually they listen up.
How do I make the radio stop transmitting down for fh?
As far as I know that is a feature of the fox/hound mode. Once they reply to you, it switches your transmit frequency to below 1500 hz.
