Hey that’s the Old Testament mentality, Jesus already fulfilled the law for us in our place of Loving God with all his being because no one has been able to do it perfectly since every one has been born in the prison of sin. But because Jesus took our place of the sin so we can take the place of His righteousness by taking all the guilt, punishment, curse and death because of sin. So there’s no more for your obedience (Right Living) but simply Right Believing that would lead to Right Living birthed out of a living relationship with Jesus daily. “As Jesus IS, so are we in this world.” He took our sickness and disease by the stripe the fell on his back so we can be made healthy and whole. As a Christian Im starting to get a little too excited about all these movies. Even tho many of them are presenting a changed message it still is the message from the Holiest of books: The Bible. I am always amazed by the elequence of the gospels. The Lord truly is amazing for now 2000 years later these words still resonate so strongly within me. It explains why it is so hard for a Christian to live both a aesthetically rich life and a spiritually rich life. It also explains why the jevvs hate Our Lord Jesus Christ so much. Awesome movie! I am still new to the bible and the accountings in it. I had no idea how special Daniel was. I got chills when I learned Isaiah named Cyrus by name 150 years before he freed Jerusalem as Daniel handed him scrolls. In a word...Hallelujah!!! Praise the Most High!
What I like most about this trailer is that it shows a very human side of the Biblical stories we all know as Christians. It brings the story to life in a way that we can truly relate to.

I have been reading some of the comments and I am a bit confused. This is a Christian movie, and I imagine all that are watching this trailer are Christians, however, the attitude that comes across through some of the comments unfortunately is not Christian. I believe that if we call ourselves Christians, the love of Jesus is in our hearts and that is what comes out from our lips. This is just an observation, and they way a try to live my life. This movie is well made. True to the scriptures. Daniel kept the faith to our God and prayed for all. He was the earthly voice of our Lord God to all people. Daniel was blessed by God, to have no fear in teaching Gods word. Thank you for this movie that speaks the truth. Which brings forth the coming of Revelation.
I saw this film on Netflix. It is very good! The only issues I have are the following: 1. Daniel never once speaks God's name. He used "The Lord" instead of Jehovah. Jehovah is God's divine name and is written nearly 7,000 times in the bible; more than any other word or name. He even identifies himself by name, "I am Jehovah. That is my name; I give my glory to no one else, nor my praise to graven images." (Isaiah 42:8) In the bible book of Daniel alone "Jehovah" appears 21 times. So whenever you hear Daniel speak "The Lord" just swap in "Jehovah". 2. When Daniel was explaining the statue dream to Nebuchadnezzar he merged the iron legs and iron / clay feet into one kingdom. As a student of the bible I've learned that the legs represent the iron-like Roman empire while the feet represent the incohesive Anglo-American dual world power of today. The legs and feet of the prophetic statue are separate kingdoms.
Just remember, even doe this speak the story of Daniel, its not gonna show the exact, remember its a Hollywood movie, there going to tweak some things and add something to the story. but the movie is great.

This was truly an awesome and awe inspiring take on the Book of Daniel from the Bible. I was amazed at how well this was done and enjoyable it was to watch! The Actor (Robert Miano) was perfect for this role, and the way he spoke felt like he was really there and that he had the faith of Daniel!

The name Jesus actually comes from the Greek word Iesos, wich means "The annointed", just as Messiah means in Hebrew. They mean the same this, but it's just different languages. It's like the word "yes" in english and "si" on spannish. Same meaning. So Jesus comes from Iesos, wich in greek means the same as Messiah in hebrew :)
Well His name Yeshua means Savior or God Saves, or Salvation But IESOUS is not the same as Christos. IESOUS is the Greek Transliteration of Yeshua, not of Christos. Christos means Anointed One aka Messish, while Yeshua (Hebrew) Transliterated from the Greek as IESOUS means Salvation, to save, or God Saves. I have studied Greek & Hebrew & I hate to have to point it out but you have your facts mixed up. And the name Jesus is not "from" the Greek but started as the Hebrew name Yeshua (Joshua) and is the same as the name of both a king and a prophet (the one after Moses that led them to the promised land). Transliterated INTO Greek it becomes IESOUS or even IESOUA (pronounced Approximately as Yesos, - think Spanish "Hesus " ) which was much later pronounced as Jesus

seriously the people in the old testament are AMAZING..they did not backslide that easily...if it was i, id have eaten the food...meat is yum.........so all in all. i pray that God fills me with the perseverance that they possesed.
They constantly turned away from God according to the bible. About the only thing they could do right is genocide and massacres, and they even managed to screw those up most of the time. Of course this is all explained by the fact that God does not exist and as such they had no miraculous "proof" of Gods existence. This would make it remarkably easy to turn away from the biblical God.

They turned away from God to worship idols again and again and again to the point where they were allowed to be taken from their land for a couple thousand years (and only just got it back last century). Now, this is to say nothing about the saving grace of God/ Christ Jesus. Salvation through faith in Jesus atones for every sin, even for the backsliders, and the Holy Spirit will guide even the backsliders to return to Him. :) But oh yes, backsliding is easy to anyone and everyone, and believe me, the children of Israel did it very very often.

Yeah, I've never faced an explicit death threat even once in my life. I certainly can't reject God right now, He's filled up my life too fully for that. But as to how I would react verbally or emotionally to being threatened for my faith, I don't know. As I said, I've never had to face that sort of thing. I could possibly bring myself to the point where I would silence myself around other people, but that wouldn't take God out of my heart or my head. He's there to stay. As for those who have been threatened in such a way, and not only kept their faith but persevered and publicly declared God in defiance of those threats, they are to be admired and blessed for their strong faith. +Alexsh2010 Not all the actors in the above film were exactly Caucasian. Sure you've got Lance Henriksen who's obviously white-but a good actor-but the rest of the cast I suspect is of mixed race and there's obvious black actors. If you want an "accurate" adaptation without people of American origin then I guess look to Middle Eastern actors but even then the people who exist now aren't exactly the same as back then. Sure in place of the Persians we have modern Iranians, we have Isrealis, but much of these people today are of various different ethnic background and aren't going to be 100 percent the same peoples of the Biblical past. In the long run I'd love for more actors who aren't always caucasian but at the end of the day I just want good actors.
The Flying Lion There are so many great black actors out here looking for a job who would be quick to play biblical character. Hollywood won't let it happen, not because they don't believe the biblical characters are black, or care to maintain accuracy. Imo there a bit of jealousy going around and they know the movie would get a lot of attention & fame b/c black culture in general always becomes popular. But this is just my opinion.
Alexsh2010 I'd kill to have black actors in a Biblical film or a film adapting the Bible. At the very least featuring blacks as having existed because for some reason most people are under the impression they didn't. But you've got figures like Jesus who more than likely was very dark skinned or King Solomon and the Queen of Sheeba and the Ethiopian accounts. I am always amazed by the elequence of the gospels. The Lord truly is amazing for now 2000 years later these words still resonate so strongly within me. It explains why it is so hard for a Christian to live both a aesthetically rich life and a spiritually rich life. It also explains why the jevvs hate Our Lord Jesus Christ so much. I have been reading some of the comments and I am a bit confused. This is a Christian movie, and I imagine all that are watching this trailer are Christians, however, the attitude that comes across through some of the comments unfortunately is not Christian. This movie is well made. True to the scriptures. Daniel kept the faith to our God and prayed for all. He was the earthly voice of our Lord God to all people. Daniel was blessed by God, to have no fear in teaching Gods word.

I saw this film on Netflix. It is very good! The only issues I have are the following:
1. Daniel never once speaks God's name. He used "The Lord" instead of Jehovah. Jehovah is God's divine name and is written nearly 7,000 times in the bible; more than any other word or name. He even identifies himself by name, "I am Jehovah. That is my name; I give my glory to no one else, nor my praise to graven images." (Isaiah 42:8) In the bible book of Daniel alone "Jehovah" appears 21 times. So whenever you hear Daniel speak "The Lord" just swap in "Jehovah".
2. When Daniel was explaining the statue dream to Nebuchadnezzar he merged the iron legs and iron / clay feet into one kingdom. As a student of the bible I've learned that the legs represent the iron-like Roman empire while the feet represent the incohesive Anglo-American dual world power of today. The legs and feet of the prophetic statue are separate kingdoms.
Just remember, even doe this speak the story of Daniel, its not gonna show the exact, remember its a Hollywood movie, there going to tweak some things and add something to the story. but the movie is great.

This was truly an awesome and awe inspiring take on the Book of Daniel from the Bible. I was amazed at how well this was done and enjoyable it was to watch! The Actor (Robert Miano) was perfect for this role, and the way he spoke felt like he was really there and that he had the faith of Daniel!
I have not seen this but hope unlike (Noah 2014) it is true to scripture such a let dwn when movie directors don't be true to the story they are presenting to people who have no real knowledge of the bible just what they hear from pagan church idol worshiping people who pray to statue's of Jesus on the cross, why all the lies? learn the truth then make it.

idk why it won't let me respond to someone's comment.. but.. kxmode making a point out of God's true name beign 'Jehovah' should understand that the name 'Jehovah' is a MADE UP name based on theTetragrammaton (YHWH) - Though many bibles editors have insisted on replacing it with "Jehovah", Hebrew scholars have long known that YHWH is Yahweh. Even when JHWH is used, the J is basically a modern representation of Y. Yeshua ended up being called Jesus because of this very problem. Just one example with info below but there is much info out there on this. Looks like a great movie, can't wait to see it

The name Jesus actually comes from the Greek word Iesos, wich means "The annointed", just as Messiah means in Hebrew. They mean the same this, but it's just different languages. It's like the word "yes" in english and "si" on spannish. Same meaning. So Jesus comes from Iesos, wich in greek means the same as Messiah in hebrew :)
Well His name Yeshua means Savior or God Saves, or Salvation But IESOUS is not the same as Christos. IESOUS is the Greek Transliteration of Yeshua, not of Christos. Christos means Anointed One aka Messish, while Yeshua (Hebrew) Transliterated from the Greek as IESOUS means Salvation, to save, or God Saves.
I have studied Greek & Hebrew & I hate to have to point it out but you have your facts mixed up. And the name Jesus is not "from" the Greek but started as the Hebrew name Yeshua (Joshua) and is the same as the name of both a king and a prophet (the one after Moses that led them to the promised land). Transliterated INTO Greek it becomes IESOUS or even IESOUA (pronounced Approximately as Yesos, - think Spanish "Hesus " ) which was much later pronounced as Jesus

seriously the people in the old testament are AMAZING..they did not backslide that easily...if it was i, id have eaten the food...meat is yum.........so all in all. i pray that God fills me with the perseverance that they possesed.
They constantly turned away from God according to the bible. About the only thing they could do right is genocide and massacres, and they even managed to screw those up most of the time. Of course this is all explained by the fact that God does not exist and as such they had no miraculous "proof" of Gods existence. This would make it remarkably easy to turn away from the biblical God.
"They did not backslide that easily"? Lol, happy to see your enthusiasm, but hoo boy, the OT people were the epitome of backsliders. They turned away from God to worship idols again and again and again to the point where they were allowed to be taken from their land for a couple thousand years (and only just got it back last century).
Now, this is to say nothing about the saving grace of God/ Christ Jesus. Salvation through faith in Jesus atones for every sin, even for the backsliders, and the Holy Spirit will guide even the backsliders to return to Him. :)
But oh yes, backsliding is easy to anyone and everyone, and believe me, the children of Israel did it very very often.
i mean people like daniel and shadrach, mishak, abadnago...etc ...DUH there will always be backsliders, thats humanity---however those specific people in the old testament had that much faith in a God that let their country be defeated and captured by their enemies. How many christians in this generation do you know would do that?. imagine if some muslim extremists approached and asked you to renounce God and your faith if not they'd behead you at the spot, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Yeah, I've never faced an explicit death threat even once in my life. I certainly can't reject God right now, He's filled up my life too fully for that. But as to how I would react verbally or emotionally to being threatened for my faith, I don't know. As I said, I've never had to face that sort of thing. I could possibly bring myself to the point where I would silence myself around other people, but that wouldn't take God out of my heart or my head. He's there to stay.
As for those who have been threatened in such a way, and not only kept their faith but persevered and publicly declared God in defiance of those threats, they are to be admired and blessed for their strong faith.

We get mad at the atheist distorting the movie "Exodus" but continuously endorse the lies spread in this and many other bible movies having white people as the characters. It's 2015, there is no excuse for this anymore.
+Alexsh2010 Not all the actors in the above film were exactly Caucasian. Sure you've got Lance Henriksen who's obviously white-but a good actor-but the rest of the cast I suspect is of mixed race and there's obvious black actors. If you want an "accurate" adaptation without people of American origin then I guess look to Middle Eastern actors but even then the people who exist now aren't exactly the same as back then. Sure in place of the Persians we have modern Iranians, we have Isrealis, but much of these people today are of various different ethnic background and aren't going to be 100 percent the same peoples of the Biblical past. In the long run I'd love for more actors who aren't always caucasian but at the end of the day I just want good actors.
The Flying Lion There are so many great black actors out here looking for a job who would be quick to play biblical character. Hollywood won't let it happen, not because they don't believe the biblical characters are black, or care to maintain accuracy. Imo there a bit of jealousy going around and they know the movie would get a lot of attention & fame b/c black culture in general always becomes popular. But this is just my opinion.
Alexsh2010 I'd kill to have black actors in a Biblical film or a film adapting the Bible. At the very least featuring blacks as having existed because for some reason most people are under the impression they didn't. But you've got figures like Jesus who more than likely was very dark skinned or King Solomon and the Queen of Sheeba and the Ethiopian accounts. I wouldn't just blame solely Hollywood as production and film companies beyond it but there's definitely a problem with casting ONLY white or Caucasian actors in these roles.
