About Varna itself
Varna is the largest center of theatrical and architectural art of the country. This is also one of the most popular Bulgarian seaside resorts, which is traditionally liked by travellers from all over the world.
Varna is the third-largest city in Bulgaria and the largest city and seaside resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. Situated strategically in the Gulf of Varna, the city has been a major economic, social and cultural centre for almost three millennia. Varna, historically known as Odessos (Ancient Greek: Ὀδησσός), grew from a Thracian seaside settlement to a major seaport on the Black Sea.
Varna is an important centre for business, transportation, education, tourism, entertainment and healthcare. The city is referred to as the maritime capital of Bulgaria and headquarters of the Bulgarian Navy and merchant marine. In 2014, Varna was awarded the title of European Youth Capital 2017.
The oldest gold treasure in the world, belonging to the Varna culture, was discovered in the Varna Necropolis and dated to 4600-4200 BC.
The center is of the city is marked with the Square of Independence. This is a huge pedestrian zone. There is no transport here and so nothing breaks the calm and measured atmosphere of this place. On the square are located 2 large cultural centers - the Varna Dramatic Theatre and the Opera Theatre. Between them is located a small market that will be surely interesting for guests of this wonderful city. Here you can find different types of goods, hand-made jewelry, wonderful pictures, souvenirs and wooden stuff.
The neighboring square is named after Cyril and Methodius. Dormition Cathedral is also located here. The building of the cathedral finished in the end of the 19th century. Each Sunday here take place liturgies in which participates the most famous male choir in Bulgaria.
The ruins of Roman baths are, without a doubt, a great historical place of interest. If you seek solitude, you can enjoy beautiful nature in Seaside Park. This park is 80 hectares big, and on its territory you will find the Culture and Sport Palace, the Planetarium, and the zoo that organizes dolphin performances.
Each day, tourists are invited to attend excursions to Varna Lake, which shores still keep the ruins of the ancient basilica. Architectural excavations don’t stop in this region and you can see the unique artifacts found here if you visit the Archeological Museum of Varna that exhibits collection of gold and silver goods, sculptures and gravestones.
The resort works all year long. Nowadays here have appeared modern balneological centers that attract even more tourists to this wonderful city.

@@ExploreTheWorld бывал, и понравилось всё! Город не сильно крупный, но и не маленький, при этом очень комфортный и уютный - огромная часть центра города - пешеходная, на постоянной основе, море не застроено, а отдано горожанам, огромные парки вдоль моря и т.д.

Варна има много голям потенциал ,но е много далече от това което трябва да бъде. Виждам много грозни и стари павилиони и парковете не блестят и старите квартали и междублоковите пространства и градинки те всичко е доста посредствено и не блести особено. Варна трябва да бъде град за пример и да стане невероятен мегаполис и когато дойде един турист да се удивлява на всичко в града

Last summer in July
Bulgarien ist ein schönes Land gefällt mir wirklich sehr, aber wenn Bulgarien wirklich gute Rentner wollen wo gut verdienen in der Rente wie zum Beispiel die meisten Schweizer Rentner dann muss sich bei den Regeln im Verkauf von Wohnungen oder Häuser etwas Endern das es Fährer zu + her geht das gleiche mit den Vermietungen von Häusern + Wohnungen so wie es jetzt ist geht das nicht zum Beispiel das es in einem Vertrag versteckte Regeln hat was in Bulgarien viel vorkommt das hasst ein Schweizer sehr..
I couldn't agree more. In my opinion, it should be more regulated, but I'm sure they are making progress now.
