Bro the way you speak makes me want to play a commander game with you. I can only imagine playing a game with you would be a hell of a good time. Keep up the awesome my dude.
Mill is fun. It's an alternate win that I can achieve with Slivers. I also built a Dimir Horror tribal/Mill deck under Captain N'ghathrod. That way there's multiple ways to win by getting back some bangers and focusing a player out with combat
Been playing a Coram self-mill deck. My playgroup is pretty casual so I don't use mill as a wincon and I don't play many spells that make multiple players mill if it doesn't include myself, but the strategy is sweet either way.
I built Phenax and the way I built it all the cards say "target player" allowing me to decide if I'm going at my opponents library or myself...best mill deck ever.
Brother, I play the Background combination of Zellix with Scion of Halaster for (U/B). Well, Zellix mills everyone for 3, then if anyone mills a creature, you make a 1/1. Well this gets out of hand with Altar of the Brood as well as the combos you listed above. Intruder Alarm untaps Zellix when the 1/1 pops up to re-start it all.
Scion of Halaster is heavily underrated with Zellix. It's just so good at digging through your library to assemble your win con while making you even more horrors. It even curves really well into Zellix as a turn 2 play.
I built a Rakdos the Muscle deck that can mill people out. I play a bunch of 8+ mana creatures with cost reductions and red's temporary token creators (tokens retain the mana value) and then I exile people's entire decks.
Hey cool I just finished upgrading my Wise Mothman deck. Threw some big creatures and reanimation spells in there. Mesmeric orb and Bruvac grandiloquent also. Can’t wait to try it out
you dont need bruvac your board will not be wide enough for bruvac to be worth it (as far as i understand it bruvac just doubles the number of milled cards, its not an additional instance of mill which goes on the stack) winning by mill wont happen, too because your huge commander will end games before that happens
@@walrider8073 I've been playtesting and haven't actually drawn Bruvac yet but I tend to agree. Thinking I'll replace him with a Sword of Light and Shadow. Mothman is always a target and I figure the recursion and lifegain will help more than Bruvac
I normally run self mill commanders, so I'm trying to branch out and turn Coram into a Rad counters/ Landfall deck. Keeper of Secrets and Savvy Trader have been powerhouses in my testing phases.
Ghost of Ramirez DePietro//Tormod (the Desecrator) 🔵⚫ self-mill + discard with zombies... and... ⚫🟢 radiation counters + recursion + reanimator with a choose a background pair at the helm... Erinis (Gloom Stalker)//Scion of Halaster. I dropped the 🔵 rad counter stuff, because I wanted more resilience, removal, and payoffs. Doing all three, 🔵,⚫, and 🟢, doesn't devote enough card slots to protecting the game plan. As for the zombie deck, it's also about versatility, except I can either hold my blue mana open to bluff counter magic, or I can utilize my mana-sink permanents, especially since each is an individual activation, which works way better for Tormod. I do eventually want to build a ⚪🔵 energy counters + mill + artifacts control with Rex (Cyber-Hound) at the helm, utilizing the 🔵 rad counter stuff I kept out of my main rad counters deck.
Been playing Phenax in commander for about 7 years now. I’ll never give him up. I love mill way too much. He’s entirely foil and well worth it. Thanks for the video for mill. I love my favorite archetype and makes me happy when other people find it.
Also, brother- this is off topic but Ludevic, Necrogenius can exile Ulamog, the Defiler & a bunch of other creatures and become a 4/4 Ulamog with counters equal to the creatures exiled and still have Annihilator.
The problem with Mill is that mill is terrible (I still love it though). Milling doesn't affect any part of the game until you get to that last card. If anything milling benefits the opponent because specific cards in the graveyard are easier to access than the library -- and the tragic irony is that while likely helping your opponents milling is just going to make them irrationally angry at you since people hate getting milled. Because of this mill decks either tend to just spin their wheels or are just combo decks (e.g. Phenax isn't a mill commander, he's a Dimir deck with a combo piece in the command zone that just happens to mill). Luckily, recent commanders really benefit excruciatingly milling your opponents card by card. Mothman makes your creatures bigger and Zellix makes you horrors while horrifying your opponents with their dwindling libraries.
Anyone play 100 card singleton? 20hp. Thats what my cousins prefer. I saw a nice milling on an enchantment deck the other night after some mh3 draft. My cousins buddy was not happy, lol. Was a good game though.

I get salty and spray everyone with venom sometimes.
8:50 Absolutely agree with you. Playing commander isn't about winning in turn 4, I want to have fun and see what each player can bring to the table.
Amen brother. That's the fun of the whole thing.

I use intruder alarm in the master

Nicky G laying down a Zootopia reference, and I'm here for it!

rad counters are a rly fun mechanic
Screeching Scorchbeast gets really gnarly if you use Undead Alchemist!

Sad that The Wise Mothman didn’t get any love here, probably the best Sultai mill commander since Muldrotha.
A little love
i would play mill, but i traded in my mesmeric orb for 20 bucks after it spiked up. i got it for like $2, worth
Unctus, thrumming stone, and persistent petitioners. It's very basic, but funny way to play mill
If I send you a deck list on discord, could you go through it and recommend some changes?
There is a deck help section. I can't promise anything, I have crypto scams I need to hatch

Play guildmage 1st ability then traumatize. Unless they counter you win everytime.
Yeah buddy!
