CNC router lead screw to rack and pinion upgrade

Modifying an old lead screw machine to rack and pinion drive system. More of a "my findings" video than a how-to. I apologize for not filming the conversion, but it was pretty straightforward.
I did lose a little travel with this upgrade, but I'm working on a solution for that as well.
Also, I misspoke, I meant to say counterbored and I said countersunk. Potato potato...

Super cheap, cuts easily with snips, quick hole through it and it mounts anywhere with a T nut, screw and a fender washer 👌👌

I have the same setup and I am having backlash problems. I've tried Adjusting things MANY times and still cannot seem to get perfect circles. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!
