Brian Setzer is a guitarist often overlooked I think SRV would have been happy to write that tasty intro to "Stray Cat Strut"

@@imannonymous7707 I agree although this was great as Setzer is not often mentioned when people talking about guitar players.

Preaching to the chior here, I'm sure but Brians playing on the Dirty Boogie is off the charts! Not to mention his vocals, while shredding the rockabilly in one fell swoop!!!!!

Thanks for the lesson! Brian Setzer made an interesting video about his playing at the time of VHS. I remember him explaining there that strived to play something tastier than straight oldschool rockabilly even for rythm.

Agreed that they made their name over here and, alongside more traditional groups like Crazy Cavan, led a neo rockabilly genre. I love them, but actually at the same time in 1979 the real big 'thing' wasn't rockabilly it was 2Tone ska of The Specials, Madness, The Selecter, The Beat and a few others. That was the real big thing and certainly in the UK left a bigger legacy.

Still such a great channel. I also like your presentation so much. No zoom in closeups if you wincing at a distortion pedal or something cheesy. Stay cool bro!
