Buakaw is a Muay Thai legend known for his insane power, speed, aggression, and relentless pressure. But the thing that stuck out to me immediately after viewing multiple fights was Buakaw’s insane ring IQ. In other words, his ability to adapt his strategy, his style, and his techniques in order to dominate an opponent.
Studying how Buakaw does this should help serve as a template for practitioners of any style or discipline.

My favourite aspect of this legend is that he incorporates so many tradtional elbow/knee Muay Thai techniques, and mixes them in with more contemporary boxing so seamlessly. He is the perfect Muay Thai warrior. One of the most incredible techniques I've seen him execute was turning a close range knee attack into a head kick at the last microsecond before the knee landed. Insanely difficult and perfectly timed. I can think of no other fighter in the world who could accomplish this.

The best weapon Buakaw had was his own mind.
Without his speed of thought and his deep understading of fighting, his moves, strength, precision and quickness would be all in vain.
Buakaw's most fearsome weapon is his mind.

Vishal Shetty yeah I disliked his comment as well. Now what he should have said is sparing with bigger opponents because with sparing you can adapt to fighting bigger, stronger, and faster fighters without actually getting hurt. That's what I did when I first started muay thai and it will improve your overall control and awareness in the ring.
