Doc, you do a really nice job of teaching us. Your presentation is very likeable and credible. Your selection of information to convey and the structure you create is very nice. And your product links and website provides the guides and products we need. You're a cut above and I hope you're having a blast and making money. I have bought SuperJuice, just put down HumiChar. Have bought humic acid in the past. Have some Andersons waiting to go down. I made a mistake a few weeks ago quirting Roundup to kill Poa and other volunteers out of my (newly planted last Fall) SS9000 ryegrass lawn. Now Superseed Store is out and I can't reseed those ugly spots! LOL! But my lawn looks awesome and I owe it all to you! I'll get smarter, and you will see to it. Keep up the good work!

Glad to see you suggest Certainty. I seeded Bermuda last spring and my pre and post emergent worked part way. My green now is Poa Annua and some broad leaf weeds. Going to spot spray with Certainty when the ground warms up here is Charleston SC area then a few weeks later do a light spray with Prodiamine. Thanks for what you do.

I am a novice to all of this but trying very hard to learn. Please can you tell me exactly what pow annual looks like. I have something coming up in pretty green patches in my yard . My neighbors says it crabgrass but I have no idea.

Yes! I hate Poa Annua! I sprayed a mix of Image and 2,4-D on my weeds last week. I'll look into Certainty next! I'll be putting out The Andersons Barricade, then re attacking with the Dimension. The split method is brilliant!

Negate is the best way 2 weeks before seeding. I have used it on 100s of acres of overseeded areas. Highly recommend.
Over the years you need to change up your mode of actions every couple years.

I use Celsius WG. It kills poana, annual and perennial rye also kills other undesirable grasses like johnson grass and bahiagrass in lawns as well as annual broadleaf weeds. Works with st augustine, centipede, bermuda and zoysia. Not a low-cost alternative but it's very effective.

Hello, I live in Phoenix AZ too if that’s what you meant. Based on DOC, how are you treating your lawn? Would you help me/give me an advice on how to get my Bermuda ready since we overseeded like we usually do every season

I use Image during the summertime for spot treating nutsedge and it works great. (Thanks to your recommendation in a previous video!) Are you spot treating this poa annua with Image? Or are you just spraying it across your lawn in the areas with bad poa annua? I have a Bermuda lawn as well with some bad poa annua areas and don't want to kill my Bermuda.

Hi Doc. You mentioned the pull behind sprayer. Since that has multiple sprayer nozzles are you going to discuss what adjustment you made on how you will apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and insecticides?

    Hey Doc,
Glad to see ya back from the beach (? Tybee?). In in Newnan,3 weeks ago used Certainty and Revolver ( cause I have some) on Poa.
It’s taken 2-3 weeks to see result but Poa now yellowing as desired. Have new pop up spots of green Poa as you commented in this video.
I’m going to treat them today w same mix or maybe wait til Wednesday before the rain.
Also will be sodding hybrid Bermuda in area being filled & graded soon. Area has lots of common Bermuda .should I kill that back prior to soil placement and grading? Thanks

I live just on the other side of Athens. So, I have been paying close attention to your advice. This year I have laid down some sod and plan to seed the back yard with Blackjack. My front yard is now 1 year old sod. When should I start that pre-emergent broadcast, and then the liquid program. I don't want to be too early or late on the front yard. I put the sod tgis year on my side yard and the front part of the back. The rest of the back yard I am overseeding in late spring.

    Hey Doc,
Have cool season grass. When I’m ready to apply pre-emergent I plan on applying Anderson Barricade. Had big problem with crab grass last season. It it safe to use Anderson Barricade first then second application hit it with Dimension? I’ve heard about Prodiamine. Is one better than other for cool season?

Hey Doc, dealing with a pretty fair size poa problem. Disappointing since I did two rounds of pre-emergent in March and April as well as fertilizer on my tall fescue lawn here in PA. Assuming the best time to apply Image is when the Poa is tall and the white seeds are prominent, how long should I wait before cutting the grass? My grass is growing fast thanks to all the product I have applied so I am worried about the grass growing too long. I typically cut to 3.5 or 4 inches and cut twice a week. Thanks.

Hey Doc, I have a bunch of weeds growing in my Bermuda, during winter it never showed but late Feb early March the weeds started growing tremendously. I did a soil test and ph level was 6.0, neutral level on my test is 7.0… so the question was could I spray image lawn weed killer down first or put the lime down first then spray the weed killer shortly after. The real question is which do I put down first or it doesn’t, do them both at the same time?

I spot sprayed Image the other day before it rained, and I plan to go around in about two weeks and hit every green clump that I see. I also need to spot spray Q4 on wild Geraniums and anything else that the Image didn't kill.

I had new Bermuda sod installed and the installed also overseeded (awful I know) with rye. Should I wait it out a year and skip any pre-emregent (dimension, etc) and go after it next year? Thanks. Learned a ton on this channel. Doing it all myself now!

Poa Annukaki spreads by airborn and kicked about by mowing, walking on it, the wind, etc. This is what I do:
    1. Take a flame thrower and target the seed like pods or use a propane torch.
    3. manual remove it with a weed remover .
    2. take the blow torch and fire the hole you created
    5. fill the hole with nutrient rich dirt
    6. plug it up with sod
    10. go around and VACUME your grass, when you dump the bag, immediately torch the contents, set those poa seeds on fire.

I’m learning to do my own lawn care, so I could use some advice. I have a new lawn; I ended up laying down annual rye grass in the fall just to have grass instead of mud. My goal is to put down Arden 15. My rye grass (some light tall fescue mixed in) is doing really well and it’s not hot enough for it to burn off yet. I would like to seed Bermuda by April. Should I use these products or just cut my lawn to lowest setting, level the lawn (leveling mix?) then seed Arden? Any info is much appreciated. Location NASHVILLE ,TN.

I used Hi Yield pre-emergent that contains dimension and the poa annua is yellowing looking like it’s slowly dying. What’s the best way to remove it once it’s dead? Do I need to go and pull it using a weeding tool? I have a lot of it.

As a pre-emergent for Poa Annua, instead of using Dimension (dithiopyr), whose efficacy is rated as “Fair - Good,” why not use a product that contains benefin or simazine, both whose efficacy is rated as “Excellent”?

When you direct viewers to use “Image,” you must make sure to clarify that you are - specifically - directing them to use “Image Kills Nutsedge,” which contains imazaquin --- and NOT to use “Image for ST. AUGUSTINEGRASS and Centipedegrass,” which contains atrazine.
