I like to use Vaseline on my ends before shampooing my roots and scalp. Soy bean oil and frankansence oil mix is my go to moisturizer.

I noticed you don't use products on your scalp (asides shampoo) and you don't use any oils. Is there a reason for that? I feel like I can't survive without oiling my scalp

When I watched this I thought 'Listen, I've tried this stuff before and it doesn't work for my hair', but Seun started growing her natural hair half as long ago as me, we have the same type of hair, but hers is now twice as long as mine😅
So humility made me decide to try one more time.
My usual routine is to use a tangle teezer and cheap lotion or leave in to detangle and remove shed hairs. Then I do my whole wash routine in medium to large twists and blow dry with my revlon paddle brush.
Ladies and Gentlemen. Today I got through my entire wash and detangle without a SINGLE tool or a PUFF of hot air IN SIGHT. And my looks and feels BETTER than it usually does, which I think is actually mostly down to finger detangling with my conditioner. It seemed to soak in more than usual. Also think removing shed hairs under running water was important.
I won't say this was faster. Tbh my hair simply isn't long enough to do less than 8 sections without the twists unraveling, so standing in the shower detangling was looong (and I turned the water off). But I actually hate blow drying and combing my hair after washing it, so it was a lot less stressful.
In fact, this is the first time ever that I've actually enjoyed washing my hair.

Seun, do you find that you have to moisturize your hair throughout the week or spray it with water to keep it fresh? My hair would sadly be so stiff and brittle by day 3, causing breakage. Thanks for this video!
No, I do not really reapply product throughout the week between my wash days.
If you are not overmanipulating it through the week there shouldn't be too any occurrences for breakage to happen, since it's best to just leave your hair alone. But you can remoisturize between your wash days if you really want to and think it would be beneficial for your hair! For spraying it with water, I personally wouldn't get it wet with water until my next wash day for my own hair. But you can try multiple ways of doing things to see what works best for you and what you like best personally!

For me it was the opposite, maybe it’s because I have fine hair but I found myself spending hrs finger detangling just to experience more breakage & quicker tangles than when I use my fav detangling brush. But I did learn not all brushes are created equally, and just because it doesn’t hurt don’t mean it doesn’t cause breakage b/c them tangle tweezers did a number on me 😂😂

I love all of her videos! They're so informative. I wanted to share that I started seeing more length once I started doing extensive protective styling where my hair barely was and out when I washed it. Some people's hair is more fragile than others, so while some people see growth while styling and doing wash and goes, others may not be able to do that. It all depends on your hair. Hoping for the best in your journey!

Im planning on doing an unedited wash day upload where I show my entire washing and all with zero edits and zero talking and just me how I wash my hair while listening to worship music, lol. I use the time I'm in the shower washing my hair to just relax and think about nothing and listen to music, so I really want to post a video like that soon!

🤦🏽♂️ 2 years ago, I learned to wash in what I refer to as WPS (wash protected style). It has definitely helped with breakage. I also condition, wash, condition, wash and condition.
