      Dak wasn’t the one calling defense or letting Romeo Doubs run wide open in the middle of the field over and over again. Dak didn’t tell Micah to have the worst game of his life. Dak didn’t tell CeeDee to drop 3 passes. Mfs like you never wanted to see Dak succeed, as evidenced by how you all instantly make everything Daks fault. If these coaches can't scheme for individual teams, we can not move to the next level. Does anybody see how all of our competition has multiple good backups instead of, just get by players. • @babymuscle87
    @babymuscle87 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

    After seeing these type of results since about 2006. I would say it would be impossible for Dallas to win a Superbowl with a QB that hasn't played on the big stage in College. These undrafted guys like Romo and fourth round guys like Dak play really good during the regular season. But the pressure in Dallas is far greater than any other team during the postseason and it shows everytime since 2006. Get a QB with a pedigree so they won't be so overwhelmed this time ever year. And also a calm, steady QB can settle down an entire team in big games

The fear of him doing well somewhere else shouldn't be the reason we overpay him and lose other players that have been doing well. We play the 49ers again next season. I still do not see how Dak has improved enough to keep up with them, and it seems like we are going to have to keep up to them for a few years. I love how Amber sums things up so perfectly .... I truly don't know what to do with my life right now. The way the Cowboys played has left me in such a state of disbelief that I can't go back or move forward. The way they played was so FAR FROM what I could have ever expected that I can't really get a grasp around it.

    They forced the run on 1st down ended up having to pass on 3rd. They needed to pass early and enable the run with the pass. That is where they had success. No idea why the Cowboys played so far off and played a lot of zone that was torn apart. This said there was no pressure. Add a decent run game for Green Bay.

    What is it that we still need to see from DP? He is who he is! He's not built to deliver on big games. Derek talked about how we lived through the times in the early 2000's of not having a QB, I could never forget those seasons. However, QB's now a days are much better and the chances of us drafting a much better QB than DP is great. Let's not kid ourselves with DP. The ending of this movie will be the same next January. I would be fine if we fail for the next 2-3 years for at least trying something new. Give Trey Lance a shot and see what can happen. The Dallas Cowboys is the quintessential definition of Insanity! Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

    I'm always perplexed by the thought that if the right pieces are in place, Dak can succeed. When you spend $50 millon on a QB, it's going to be very difficult to get the right pieces, since 1/4 of the cap is taken up by one guy. Also, a $50 millon QB should succeed without everything around him being perfect. His performance should elevate others. Finally, in the end, it's an issue of culture. I don't understand being shocked by this loss. During the seasons, in big moments, they failed much more often than succeeded. In the playoffs, every moment is a big moment. Imposing your will is all about mental toughness, which this teams lacks and has lacked since Jimmy Johnson walked out the door. Your business is perfectly structured to yield the results you're experiencing today. The Cowboys are a business. What we see on the field is the product, which is a reflection of the culture, starting at the top.

      I have to disagree. How did John Elway do without a running game and 37:55 defense? Made Suoer Bowls and git routed in every one. How did Peyton Manning in DEN do his first year? SEA routed them.
      Football is about the basics. Interior line play and ball control on both sides. Put Dak behind Landry and Jimmy Johnson's lines and get back with me.

    • @johnvisconti5004
      @johnvisconti5004 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@noeltaylor3594 I appreciate your thoughts. Both of your references are about Super Bowl games, which they made it to without a perfect supporting cast. That's a pretty damn fine achievement. I'd say they succeeded. And in fact, Manning did win one two seasons later with Denver. Correct you are. Line play is the name of the game. But your references are to non-salary cap era teams. $50 million is 1/4 of the cap. Landry's and Johnson's lines would be unaffordable with 1/4 of the cap gone. That said, the entire conversation is pointless because the culture is broken. A team with balls would never have played as poorly as they did vs Green Bay in EVERY aspect of the game. That's a culture issue and that starts at the top. It's the only constant in 30 years of failure.

    If you are forced to keep him with an extension, find a way to make it a bonus incentivized contract. Make him earn his money if he makes the divisional and conference, pay him. If he makes a SB appearance pay him more. Don’t just guarantee $ with zero results. If he doesn’t like that and won’t agree then that tells you all you need to know about the confidence he always talks about… you will see their true colors if you offer them what they are worth vs what they expect to be paid!

    If Dak goes elsewhere and balls out I'll chalk it up to the pressure of playing in Dallas was too great. Gotta get rid of that sunk cost trap. Dak will win you a lot of regular season games. No matter how good he looks regular season, the playoffs are a different weight, magnitude and pressure. He looked shook out there. When they showed him on the bench as the Packers were scoring on their first drive his eyes already looked glossed over like the weight was starting to set in. I truly believe this game goes differently if the cowboys get the ball first. No time for the consequences to set in while watching your team fall behind. You're warmed up and ready to go before you even get a chance to think about it. Btw, Derek save the hope for your god, he's the only one who needs it. People either show up and perform or they don't. Dak gets paid to do a job with or without your hope. Hope is not a condition of his contract.
