I rafted this river in 96 . We took a bus from Pokhara .24 hours.then 8 more. Then walking 2 days with 100 porters. The guys who carry the heavy rafts get paid double,. Enter the river and it takes 11 Days to get to the finish. After that we went to bardia national park , with the Ganges dolphin , There are a few sections that are class 5 , the Company was called ultimate descents, Understand and respect these people and this river. The year before i was there a couple honeymooning from England, the new bride drowned on a section named frieghttrain,,,and they had to bring her down the river , It took 2 days to find the body And a few more to bring her to civilization. Sad story, but this is the Kanarli . It is a sacred thing.
