Sir, the walls of my house are very wet, so what paint should I do?
Hi Mamta,
As you mention, wall surface is very wet. So, first of all please inspect the wall surface properly and check whether there is any water leakage issue in wall or not. In case there is any leakage then resolve that issue it first. May be there will be leakage in the water pipe joints.
If leakage is not there then do the waterproofing on that particular wall and at the end apply paint. You can use Asian Paint (Apcolite or Royal category). These are plastic paint which comes with lots of advantages.
Remember : If there is any moisture present in wall then paint surface will get damage. No matter which brand or category it belongs to.

Yes it is required to apply Putty and Primer (Both Double Coat). If the wall surface is uneven (not flat) then go for POP punning and then apply putty and Primer then at the end Paint of your choice.
If I will talk about Chalk Putty then jo Chalk Putty hota hai vo more smoother and better finish k liye karaya jata hai. Chalk Putty is optional and if you want to use it then it is mixed with Putty to fill holes and fine or macro cracks on wall.

Hi Aman,
After white cement please apply Putty then primer and then paint of your choice. Please do not apply paint without Putty and Primer.
Note: Paint for Interior Wall and Exterior Wall is different. Choose right paint accordingly.
For better finish use good quality of Putty, Primer and Paint and it should be of good brand too.

No need of doing primer again. You can directly apply paint (double coat). But make sure wall should be cleaned properly before applying paint on it.
For Brand you can go for Asian Paints, Nerolac or Berger. They have categories based on the pricing. So according to your budget you can select. You can visit to your near dealer. I have also made video on Nerolac and Burger brand, you can watch it from playlist.

Correct process for painting is given below:
1. First do the damp proofing of wall if in future there is chance of dampness in wall. You can do it by applying product : Dr Fixit Damguard Classic Damp proof.
** Double coat. **
2. When it dries completely, then applying Putty (Double Coat).
3. Then do Sanding Process to smoothen the surface.
4. After then, apply primer. Double coat.
5. Then at the end apply Interior paint of your choice. Double coat.
Note : for primer I have already made video you can watch that too.

Aapne paint ka choice sahi kia hai but the main thing is paint karane se pahale wall ki leveling sahi se nahi hua that's why aapko uneven surface dikh rha hai.
Jab bhi paint hota hai, usme ek Sanding ka process hota hai jise hum ghisaae k naam se jaante hai. Generally log ess process ko manually hand se karwaate hai but actually me Machine se karwana chahiye and esme light ka bhi use hota hai to check the surface leveling.
Now paint karane se pahale agar wall Jada uneven hai then panning ka process karwaana padta hai using POP and usk baad painting ka process hota hai.
So, I would suggest ki jab aap next time paint karaye to pahale jarur check kara le ki surface even ho through out the wall surface and if surface 3ven nahi hai then do panning process.

Aap jarur Royal Paint karwa sakte hai puri wall par, but before that distemper coating ko remove karwana hoga. Direct paint apply naa karwaeyega.

As you said Kitchen walls bahut jaldi kaale pad jaate hai. So eska main reason hai fungal infection in wall due to moisture. If there is moisture present in wall due to leakage or other reasons then ess tarah ka problem create hota hai and in kitchen moisture is the common reason for all these issues.
I would suggest you to please do proper inspection of wall and check if is there any leakage present or not. If yes, then do water proofing of wall and then apply Putty, Primer and Paint double coat.

If I will talk about current market scenario, then the ranking for paints brand are like
1. ASIAN PAINT
2. NEROLAC PAINT
3. BURGER PAINT.
4. All other brand.
No doubt Asian Brand is at the top because of following reason:
1. People have trust on Asian Paint
2. It has huge range and category with good price range.
3. Asian paints are most durable Paints. Even it's low budget Paint run for more than 6 to 7 years easily.
But no doubt, in future some other brand will surely defeat it.
As an Interior Designer, I would say Nerolac paint will defeat Asian brand because I have used both Nerolac and Asian paints in my projects and what I found that Nerolac paints provide great coverage area and it has huge range according to budget. Also, they have done improvisation in their quality.
May be Burger will defeat 😀 but I can't say anything as I have not much experience with this Brand.

Main issue ye hai ki jab aap re-work karwa rhe the then aapko new Plaster Work bhi karwana chahiye tha.
Hota kya hai ki jis wall me pahale se sealan ki problem hoti hai uska plaster bhi kharab ho jata hai. And agar ussi pe dubara Dr Fixit ya koe dusra chemical use karwate hai too vo utna effective nahi hota.
Me suggest karunga ki aap dubara se usse thik karwaye aur niche diye hue points ko consider kare:
1. Jab Plaster Work karwayenge then Dr. Fixit ka 101LW+ jarur mix karwayenge for better water proofing.
Mixing Ratio : 200ml per 50 kg bag. Yaani 4ml/kg use hoga.
2. Then plaster ki curing k baad Dr. Fixit 302 SBR ka double coat karwayega.
First coat - Horizontal direction me
Second coat - Vertical direction me
3. Uske baad Putty, Primer and Paint.

First of all please don't come on any conclusion. The toxic chemical you are talking about is VOC (Volatile Organic Compound). In video, I have already expanded about it. In apcolite the percentage of VOC is low.
This VOC is present in every paint, otherwise paint will get dry very quickly while using it.
Now, the smell you are experiencing is due to VOC only and within few day smell will be vanished. Please have patience and you won't feel any suffocation then.

Jaise aapne bataya distemper pahale se chada hua hai, too sabse pahale distemper remove karna padega otherwise bina ese remove kiye agar paint karate hai with primer then after sometime bahut se problems face karna padega.
Eska main reason hai ki jo distemper ka surface hota usme paint/primer stick nahi karega.
So, I will recommend sabse pahale distemper ko remove karaye then go for Putty, primer and paint of your choice.

Thanks for this info. As this video has been made in Nov 2021. So, between these six months already increamet in the price has been taken place. Also, if you are getting at this price then it will also includes color cost as well. As I have already mentioned in video that additional Color cost will be paid and it depends on color shade.
But in case you are getting only white color at this price then you should visit their website and check from there or please contact to Authorized Asian Paints Dealer as soon as possible and then purchase Paint.

Yes on the basis of your experience it can be. But Asian paint and Nerolac both brands provide best quality of paint. Only difference is in the pricing.

When you are explaining about paints you should give details of 3 or 4 paints company, you are only talking and explaining about asian paints.
Video will be long try to explain in short, about cost, coverage, durability, life.
