Everything you've mentioned seems to be the general consensus with Astro products, specifically both generations of the A10s. Great to hear that they improved with the Gen 2 though
Great review. This looks like a really cool affordable headset, could never in a million years own that colour for myself though lol. With the high cost of living was seriously considering saving money and getting this or just breaking the bank and getting the G Pro . Guess I need to try on both then decide but this review really helps so thumbs up 👍🏼
Haha the colour definitely isn't for everyone! I'm more of a black & RGB setup fan myself, but it was a ton of fun to be able to integrate a cute colour into my gaming 😂 I can highly recommend both headsets, with the PRO obviously being the better of the two (but the price is 😬). I'm fairly certain both would last a while since Logitech is great with the lifespan of their products, hell, I'm still using my G300s mouse from 2015 😂
Great review- the A10 Gen 2 was something I am considering getting my son for his birthday, since he's still young I figured an entry level headset would do the job. How durable do you think the cups are? I'm worried about it having a lightweight cover to it and finding it torn within a month
The cups felt pretty reinforced to me! The material is stretched taut over the padding (which is honestly similar to memory foam) and felt decently thick. Unless he attacks it with a knife, I don't think it's going anywhere. And as for the colour, maybe go with something more versatile/neutral like the black, grey or white? That way he won't outgrow the colour, and it'll suit any style of setup he goes with as the years go by and he gets older. But it's entirely up to you! :)
Nice review… I recently got mine. Great price But… the small drivers/earcups were small, but it still covered my ears. The Sound quality isn’t great. Worst of all, the microphone :(… my mates said I sounded like a microwave😂and another said I was talking from a cave. Idk if mine was faulty but it was bad (bought it brand new btw). I had the Astro A10 1st generation and that was good… so I don’t recommend this product… Steelseries Arctis 7P+ was enough…

Interesting, I've never considered using a wired connection for ps4 play
I'm usually a speakers kind of gal, but wired headphones work perfectly for those 'gaming when the house is asleep' vibes; they're also cheaper!

They're seriously the best budget headphones I've tried so far, and the fact that they're hella comfy helps too!

And which colour do you think a 8 year old boy would prefer. His favourite colour is luminescent green, but mint seems to be the closest match
