appreciate the video, i basically had the exact same issues with my 6L as you had with yours. lifters we're so stuck i just pulled the cam and knocked em into the engine. seemed easier lol. my cam bearings were also shot. so i knocked em out and sent the block to the machine shop... when i went to order new cam bearings for my 2003 LQ4 i ran into a snag. Our block is a transition year. so you will either need the 1st design or 2nd design cam bearings. since i sent my block to the machine shop i never measured the cam bores. Mic'd the outside of the cam bearings and just ballparked it to 1st design, if it turns out i need 2nd design bearings and you need 1st design ill have a deal for you. If i get my block back this year, been in the machine shop for 14 weeks so far.
Good idea with the glass packs on the run in stand. They knock down the noise a lot more than you'd think. Enough to hear valvetrain issues. What was the before bearings oil pressure (for comparing later)?
Great video, but you gotta work on the audio. The opening was blowing my speakers at a sane volume setting and then the rest of the video was so quite I had to crank it up
Audio for the main video was go pro which seems to be a lot quieter should turned it up wasn’t planning on using this intro until the last minute hahah
Land of the living skies !!!! I've subbed for the ride !!!! I'm in calgary about to do a 6.0 swap on a 56 poncho 2 door hard top ..check my channel out too !! ...great looking engine so far .can't wait to see the rest of the build

That’s gonna be a nice setup! Keep the videos coming!
Some new stuff I’ve never tried before!
You post more often than I do, but I'd like to see you in your own videos more than I see you in Kyle's at least!
Hahaha should be able to make regular videos now!

It’s really isn’t bad like 40 cold and 50 plus with rpm. I imagine it be worse if I got the oil hot
@@savagerb28 think my 5.3L truck says 60ish cold idle and high 20's when hot.
