A horse that's been kept in a stall all it's life, never been allowed to just be a horse with other horses in a pasture and maybe even trained in an inside arena, such a horse actually may get scared if put outside.
It is important that horses see as much of the world as possible so they won't get spooked at every strange new sight or sound.
@@beatekreuzer5025pasture boarding is always best for horses, except in extreme weather, but I hate it when ppl keep horses in stalls 24/7. Never giving them enough room to run around except a few times a week for lessons, not even 😢

Grade horses are horses with unknown lineage, most of the time they are mixed breeds but could potentially be a pure bred

LOL as a western rider with VERY worn out mismatched tack and a horse who doesn't even like to walk into the barn, this had me rolling. And yes, for a long time I didn't know what dressage was and when I read about it, I pronounced it "drissage" too. And "grade is great"!

Haha Britney would hate my barn. It's an animal rescue barn where the stables are self made and everything's kind of messy. We get the throw away food from local supermarkets for free and have loads of vegetables all the time, half of them are still edible but the other ones... eh, not so much. Also, we have only one horse who's an ex jumper - the rest of them are extremly naughty ponies. I'd like to see Britney beeing chased around by our yearling Shetland Bruno xD
I ride at a place with a bunch of horses, mainly old lesson ponies, rescues, and ottbs. There is one white pony that always rolls in the mud at likes to bite. I’d love to see the look on Britney’s face when she runs into him.

@@georgiakingsky4059 Yes it is, thank you for your nice words! I love it with all my heart - it's mostly hard work because we're not funded by the state like other places but it's so worth it.

Omg I had one of these girls at my barn! She said she could do dressage and jump, but she whinned everytime the horse went into a trot. She pretended the barn was to low for her standards 😂😂😂 love your videos marina ❤❤

I can name quite a few equestrian TH-camrs that are probably like this off camera 😂 that also brings me to an idea for a video you could do: TH-camr goes to the barn or equestrian vlogger or smt like that lol
A couple of us moved from NYC suburbs to rural Virginia, 1 of our friends, she's an awesome person, we met her years ago, she was my daughter's horse trainer, and now, she boards retiree horses, down here in VA, all types of horses, but you can ALWAYS tell the ones with the neurotic owners, or those who dealt with grooms who spoiled the crap outta them for fear of being fired. They are SO HAPPY to be turned out in the openness, they roll, get muddy, and get to be horses for the first time.

I actually just left a stable because of someone just like this. Our summer was so severe that several boarders including myself started coming in the evenings. There are spot lights all over the property and the barns and the indoor arena had lights as well . That's when I met someone I had never seen before. Turns out this person always came at night so they could have the place to themselves. When they had to share they called the owner and had them tell the rest of us we couldn't come out in the evenings anymore. I found another stable ASAP and was outta there 😂.
Wait, the owner had no problems with telling you and the other that this idiot can have the whole stable for herself at evenings? What the fuck, was she paying 3x extra or what? it's summer, extremely hot, what are people supposed to do, ride with high risk of passing out because of the heat?
Ironically upstate NY is a lot like this, we think of Westchester people as being like the rich girl. We love our grades and pasture board.

I have a farm with my own stable, so I don't have to deal with the barn thing, but I do have a black bridle and a brown saddle. The saddle is a Stubben, so it would have been very expensive when it was new, but that was about 40 years ago! I don't care, it is a well-made saddle, it fits both my horse and I well, and it cost me about $50! I actually have another Stubben saddle as well, as a backup, it's a little bit older (45, 50 years old?) and it's got a bit more wear, but it's also still good. I think I paid $50 for that one, as well.
I'd rather have ancient tack, in good order, and my horse with me at home, where I can ride her any time I want, than to have to play the "Keeping Up with the Joneses" thing at an expensive boarding place.
My son's girlfriend has her horses at a barn (here in Australia we call it "In Agistment"), and she seems to do okay, but I think I'd always be worrying, unless I had my baby here with me. But they rent a house, so it's not like she has a choice, she can't exactly put her horses in the garage...

This girl would hate my barn😂we barely even let the horses in their stables, they only go in the "muddy" field.also my horse instructed who owns the barn has a 6 year old daughter, her daughter runs in the mud barefoot and once pushed her 3 year old younger brother off one of the highest horses😂and there's no "matching gear" and sometimes there is more then five people in the field at once.
Brittany would definitely hate my barn.
