I love the fabrics. What a happy quilt.

I quilt on a HQ 16 sit down. I was spray basting an 80” x 72” quilt, which is bigger than average for me. When I laid the back out on my folding tables (3 tables side by side on bed risers) I clipped one end with picnic table clips and walked around the other end. I automatically picked up the end and “Susan Smithed” it. I picked it up and got it straight by that fluffing move you do. Much easier than bending over the table and smoothing it. After it was all smoothed I Susan Smithed the fold line with a spritz of water! Easiest and quickest basting I’ve ever done! Thank you!!!!!

Kim McElliott from Idaho; Not sure when you recorded this video, I’m in your master class and I’ve learned so much watching this video also. Thanks Susan

Hi Kim, this one was recorded quite a few months ago, but I hope it’s timeless😄

I am enjoying the Monthly Quilting you have available. is there any way to purchase the pattern for the Chrysanthemums. Visually it will certainly help to get started. I have about 4 designs under my belt thank you so much for all your videos so helpful

At this point I don’t have individual designs available for purchase. This one is included in my Freehand Quilting Masterclass, and over time some of them are being featured more than once here on TH-cam as well.

Can these same designs be stitched on a sit down8 machine?

In most cases, yes! You may wish to use a smaller scale, as things like large circles, for example, are more difficult on a sit down machine.

Do you have the capacity to use Prostitcher on your machine or are you just strictly a freehand quilter?

I do have the Gammill "Elevate", which uses digital patterns. I hardly ever actually use it, tho, what I love doing is the freehand.
