- Did I upset one of the 50,000 remains? I don't think someone wanted me to make this video as the camera\gimbal seemed to have a mind of its own on a few occasions, I guess they kind of succeeded as it was a distraction throughout.

These aren’t just bones they are actual people it’s just unbelievable how many there are. It’s heart breaking and revenant at the same time. This is so well done. Thank you♥️
This was so moving, solemn and beautiful! Thank you for this Dan! I wouldn’t have seen this if not for you ❤️
"And from sightless soulless sockets they stare to the wall, thankfully unable to see the immeasurable horror that stares back" Wilfred Owen 1916
Wow Dan I'm almost speechless. What a beautiful way you chose to do this video. From the quiet walk through to the soft but dramatic music. It was a wonderful way to pay respect to all the souls down there. Thank you so much!! 💜☮️
And once they were breathing, walking, sleeping, eating, loving, fearing, dreaming, thinking, laughting, crying, hoping, talking, believing.....every skull has its own story in the book that is named life❤
BRILLIANT simply BRILLIANT! I can’t stop thinking that each and every bone was part of a person, a real live, breathing person with thoughts, hopes, loves, and fears. Thank you so very much for bringing this to my attention. I so very much appreciate your work!
You’re a brave guy. I used to like to wander through cemeteries and have transcribed a number of them for research sites but this is really something different. I’m in a wheelchair now so it’s not possible. This is really on a scale that I’ve never seen before. Thanks Dan, for sharing in all you do. 👍🇨🇦
Such a fitting monument for all those departed souls. So much care and respect. Also a gentle reminder that we a nothing but mortal. Well filmed Dan. That was brilliant. Cheers for taking us down there.
yes we are mortal but where did all those souls go
I had to sit with this and think about it some more. My feelings were torn, these were human beings and they were not all adults. And there were so many, many of them. They had lives, they loved, they had children; it really tore at my heart. I know I am older than your average viewer but I have seen more of life too. I have specifically not let myself become comfortable with death because everyone counts. Whether it is one death or 30,000. I have lost the most important person in my life and I am gutted. And looking at these remains whether they were dug up and discarded or died from disease or a plague was just so sad and moving. Thank you for treating them with respect Dan. It is the least we can do for these displaced human beings. 🙏♥️
They are gone. No pain, no feelings.
Thank you so much Dan! So moving! ❤ I really enjoyed this production with the music and subtitles
Absolutely mind-boggling. To know each one was born of a woman who loved, feared, laughed and cried. Every one.
Macabre yet strangely compelling.
I watch your videos and must say you are my favorite for touring cemeteries! This is so well done! Keep up the good work! 😎❤️
Omg dan this is on another level, amazing amazing and your so vocused in on all the graphic details. BRILLIANT thank you
I hope they can reconstruct the crime scene...
Puts life into prospective
Absolutely amazing and so well presented. Thank you so much xx
It must have been quite a job to get all these bones and skulls to fit together so nicely. Very beautiful but it also gives me an uncanny feeling! Martha
The music you chose was lovely and very fitting 😊
Great tour, thanks!
Beautifully done, with Wonderful music.
Dan, this was so sad. You did an amazing job on this showing such respect! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Mari
Thanks!
Thank you too Ellen.Sorry for the late reply, youtube didn't notify me of comments for a few days x
I take some comfort in knowing that in death we are all equal. These catacombs are a prime example of that: rich, poor, young, old, black, white, yellow, red and brown, in death we are all the same. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. Maybe in a few hundred years, we too shall all be stacked together in a mass grave to make room for the new dead that will follow. 💀💀
Absolutely Amazing
Amazing and you showed such respect for them.
Saddening to think between 6 and 7 million peoples remains now rest in that aweful place
Awesome tour! 👏👏👏
drank a lot of beer in Brno on a coach tour, an old boy from Canada fell off the top step of the coach and cracked his head and I helped a nurse from Chicago save his life and I had to pay the "ambulance" a van with a red cross painted on the side drivers to take him to the hospital or they wouldn't help.. so that night me and the Nurse drank lots and lots ... He spent 6 months in a Czech hospital but lived
Thank you for all the effort you put into making these beautiful shows!
Amazing
Wow! That’s something you don’t see! 💜
When your torch wouldn’t work at all I was like “I’d get the hell out of there”. Then you said you were getting out lol. Freaky!
That scene at 10.42 in the video is surreal. Very sad even.
This was incredible. It's a good reminder of how short life really is and not to fret over little things. I saw the camera REALLY waver at about 9:44 while focusing on the row of vertical skulls/mandibles. It seems the "walls" are constructed from skulls and femurs, with the smaller bones hidden behind them?
Respectfully filmed. What a sad place. So many people. Very moving. I wonder why almost all the skulls had no teeth. Very odd!
All those people, all those hopes and dreams. If not always happy, I hope they lead satisfactory lives.
Thank you so much for producing and sharing these videos. So unique, interesting, and educational. Every one of your videos is beyond amazing. Again, thank you.
Amazing. Thank you.
So sad I actually cried, poor souls hope they found rest.
The cruel and harsh realities of life.
Fascinating and moving. Really happy that the headstones are preserved too so at least some of the people aren't lost forever in time.
Poor buggers!!! 😢💔
God bless everyone of those poor souls
Beautifully done, so respectful. Honoring those poor lost Souls. Solemn reminder.
Just stunning
Every city in Czechia has foundations like this, they worked and builded cities.. we just live in
Awesome video! Thank you!!!
Beau Travail comme d'habitude🔬🍀🎬🙏🌌
Very powerful stuff. I reminder of the sanctity and preciousness of life
Wow, the room with the stacked skulls really got me moved. It was looking like id they would look back at you. Also I really, really liked the music you chose for this video, beautiful choice. Liked and subscribed!
love it thank you so much for making this video
Surely I’m not the only one who cried a bit watching this? So unexpectedly emotional.
So sad to see so many people who don’t have a proper burial ground. It’s sad that they would dig them up for new graves. Make more cemeteries if that’s the case. These people aren’t resting in peace and that’s sad 😞
Talk about forgotten and nameless! Just wow. I think I would cry if I saw this in person.
Excellent video!
Thank you, Dan. Really nice video. Loved the music.
Can’t but wonder who were these people when did they live what did they do. What is there story. We will never know. Brilliant video
Mind-blowing and deeply beautiful work … existentially therapeutic. Thank you Dan.
This is very interesting that someone came up with this idea. I commend you for your artistic work and for sharing it with us! Thank you Dan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Dan, very interesting video and the music was very nice. Thank you so much for sharing this and have a great day.
Amazing! I don't think we have anything like this in the U.S.🙄😳🤔
That was a very heartfelt and touching video, thanks for posting
Rather comforting actually. To rest unmarked and unremarkable with the other remains. The charnel house is inevitable in a small area where people live continually.these are
are scrupulously maintained. Very well done by the monks. In America,, many cemeteries are just business concerns, privately owned,or lost in the legal limbo of red tape etcetera.
Beautiful and absolutely amazing , thanks Dan 🐨🥰
❤❤❤❤
To think, these were all walking, talking human beings. Such a display takes away one’s individuality and importance. Difficult to comprehend the enormity.
I think some day our tech will be powerful enough that you will be able to snap a picture of a skull on your phone and it will be able to do an accurate facial reconstruction. It would be amazing to see what these people looked like instead of anonymous skulls.
WOW so so many! Our fate here on this earth is hopeless.
As much as I love cemeteries, this place is just a bit too creepy and claustrophobic for me! 😄. I am curious tho as to how it smelled down there??
great tour Dan.
Excellent, excellent, excellent! The music was as appropriate as it could be, and your presentation could not have been better. Your shows keep getting better and better. Did I notice some trauma to the skulls?
Minerals and chemistry is all we are
Dan what a great video. Iv'e never seen anything like it before. Thank you
Amazing and great choice of music
Can I please ask how did it feel? Was it worse alone? Worse quiet? You will probably NEVER be around that many people again. Was it claustrophobic? Did it smell? Are you glad you went? Could you touch them? Did you touch? A sneaky touch? Thanks for video. It was excellent 🙃
This video was just amazing.just found it very creepy all those skulls staring back at you just unbelievable loved it 😊
Just think all these people walked and talked, had homes and families, friends, some worked the fields, some did stone work, some built homes, some cooked may had a bakery, some were house wife’s that raised children, some worked on a farm, some attended church, etc…. They were out and about living their lives. I don’t know if I was replaced in my grave , my final resting place, that I would like to know that my bones could be any place down in this catacombs. These are real people, that had real lives, moms, dads, sons, daughters, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews. That their souls left this world not knowing the day, nor hour.
Well said and exactly my thoughts whenever I look at a human skull. I try to think what they might have looked like, what their lives were like. Some look female, some male, some have different characters, to think so many are here in this place and all were piled up like that...mind blowing.
1:43 do you see skull second from top, on the left?? doesnt look like rest of them, at all pretty strange, looks like people with small top skull after getting ill in young age or something...
How can all these poor souls rest in peace on show like that and all the bones just slung together , this is desecrating their bones why were they all dug up ? I pray for them all hoping your souls are in eternal peace
Who put all these bones together and how do they stay in place? Tysm for this tour.
The history of Europe and the number of families that died from disease is beyond any inconceivable comprehension. From England to Italy Hundreds of thousands died in one summer over different time periods. It is not just from disease but also severe climate changes due to huge volcanic events that caused temperatures to drop, and farming came to a halt especially to northern Europe and most people starved because of this. War and conflict for territory too and different kingdoms many lost their lives. When roads or parking lots to large projects are built, they often find human remains and have to call in the archaeologist in order to gather and collect the remains for research. Europe is full of dead men's bones.
That is amazing but I would like to know who arranged the bones
💖💖💖💖
😮 so sad, so many people 😢 very well done, thank you ❤
It looks like some of the holes in the skulls are from trepanning.
This is so sad.
Amazing, not seen anything like this
I bet they argue 🤣
Could the owners of the skulls with holes in them have died from syphilis?
So did they start out in graves that were dug up?
Yes, I believe the cemeteries were overflowing during floods and causing disease and foul smells, so they were exhumed and transported into the catacombs where the remains of between 6 and 7 million people now rest
Wow, that place is awesome they have that in Paris also
Remember friend as you walk by
As you are now so once was I
As I am now you will surely be
Prepare thyself to follow me.
My good people as you pass by
as you are now so once was I.
As I am now you soon will be ,

Remember me as you walk by,
as you are now so once was I,
as I am now, soon you will be,
so prepare yourself to follow me.
omg all those people, each one had a life
❤❤❤😌😌😌
❤😢😮 that's all I can say. Thank you
What city and country are you in?
Sangat mengerikan
Wow
Make you wonder who these people where
