Thanks for the broadcast. Nice match. Pro tip - keep your finger on the right cursor button. Just keep hitting it until you see a guy go down into his shot. Watching this no-shot-clock match in real time is torture.
If you press on the L letter it will jump 10 seconds (k for stop and J back 10 seconds) Mine L is burned after watching Alcaide, Its a shame since we miss a lot of good comments while he is playing.
Alcaide is brutal to watch without a shot clock. He has to walk around the table and double check every shot even on the most routine run-outs as if he's not sure. I'd imagine Shane gets aggravated.
My thoughts exactly!! Im sure it’s annoying af to shane and it damn sure is annoying af to the viewers. I dont think there should ever be an event without a shot clock. Alcaide is the perfect example why. Bro was doing laps around the table for no good reason 🤦🏻♂️
bro, when u play SVB u better check and double check and bloody triple check, otherwise if u make a mistake with THE CHAMP you will be punished...i play a little, if i ever plaied SVB (as if lol) i would take 5 mins per shot lol...its SVB in Bucharest...best in the world in his favorite pool spot...
Romanians are smart like that bro...nobody else does that...well done Billiard Network, and thank you for these amazing games you fellaz post. La Mai Mare Frate
Watching from Louisiana, USA. Speed of play is fairly decent considering these cut throat comments geez. It’s good to see what decisions are made with not having to rush an option. Although I think shot clock helps a lot of payers play better simply by committing to the choice of shot and not double guessing. Great match but both players were below their par, Shane taking his glove off 3-4 times just suggests he’s ready to be done with this match, he probably deserved to lose it but that’s how the game goes sometimes. Big fan of SVB but I’m not gonna sugar coat it. Thanks for the upload! Always pleasant to see El Matador and or Captain America
@@bobstewart4342 everybody does. JShaw had a bone to pick with SVB for the same reason.. that spawned a great rivalry that i hope JShaw grew out of... i guess its human nature to try to give yourself that advantage when u can the solution to that would be the opponent racking the balls, this way we could all be sure the rack is done outstanding every time
Pastel balls would be great for the testy ole CRT TVs ~with the fidgety contrast and darkened dying picture tube, but here, on a modern monitor, they get so washed-out. Took me 2 racks to tell the 1, 3, 4, and 5 apart. Heart monitors are extra neat'o tho.
Viewing from Trinidad, Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean. I'm viewing this match because I'm in quarantine at home. I'm am a huge follower of billiards and snooker for the past three years. Billiards/snooker is not considered a sports choice for us according to our customs. That may change some time in the future but not now. It's considered a rum shop sport which is subjected to enormous taxes..
@ 38:38 Alcadie has got to be aggressive. Can't make a living playing safe when you have an opportunity to run out against the best players in the world.
The commentator explains it: on a break, a ball in a pocket or a ball that travels beyond the breaking line counts as 1 point, and for a legal break in this format, you must get 3 points total. He didn't have any balls travel above the breaking line and only made 1.
@@craigrschulz i respect that. Its just so damn cool to see though. Be nice if a closer had a heart rate monitor on trying to close out game 7 of the WS.... or hockey goalie and shooter in an overtime shootout. Just something different. Can really see who is confident and relaxed over someone who is having a panick attack on the inside.
I love watching pool on TH-cam but this crap is absolutely UNWATCHABLE without a shot clock! "Match of the Year"?!?! I couldn't get past the 5 minute mark when Alcaide took 2.5 minutes to pull the trigger on an obvious and simple safety shot. I hope Shane won, but I ain't sticking around to find out...
Damn David Alcaide is the only guy that I can’t watch with his head moving up and down as he sims also his eyebrows moving up and down as he aims with his shot routine…look so bad dunno why he don’t get rid of it
I think the problem is that the tables don’t have time to settle into the carpet? But it’s such an easy fix…just let them cut the carpet and then pay them back for a few squares.
It's barely 2 months since this game was played and it's only 2022 so how is this game even potentially the game of the decade? Give me an effing break! Talk about hype and clickbait titles. Sheesh!
David Alcaide is the most boring player of all the Pros. I got so bored after watching less than 15 minutes of the match, I quit watching...and I love to watch good pool. SVB is one of my favorites but I will never watch another Alcaide match again no matter who he plays unless there is a Shot Clock. I am so disappointed I missed seeing SVB play because of Alcaide.
@@FirstWayHockey Thanks John for trying to be helpful but you are missing the bigger point: David Alcaide's slow play on every shot is ruining the game of Pool. Alcaide is turning people away from the game rather than drawing them to the game. It is a shame too because Alcaide is a very good player. He remains my last choice to watch play because of his slow play. Even with a 30 second shot clock, Al;caide uses the full 30 seconds EVERY TIME.
i will not watch an important tournament where an innocent 21yo world champion is not allowed for whatever "political reason". this is just a pool billiard competition, anything else is irrelevant and not inherent even if it makes you angry. organizers and/or players should have just given up the Open. imagine a tennis open without Novak for "political reas........" wait...... west world is so done......

Very good match but... they need a shot clock. Some obvious shots went way past what extensions would have taken.
Nice narration. Aloha from Hawaii
Damn, brutal finish for Alcaide. Great set.
From Idaho. Two of my favorite players. Good Pool!
Watching this live is brutal. DA needs to have a shot clock wherever he goes...and it's contagious, because SVB starts to play slow.

The heartbeat monitor is an incredible addition. Hope to see much more of it moving forward

I agree. I don't understand why the world billiard organizations can't agree on a color standard that has reasonable contrast.
