Hey Bruce. I've been learning shit from you for about five years and one thing I have to say. You cut through the "Bullshit" and you really "bring it!" i think you are a really good teacher and I have a PHD!
Hey man I just sang this and posted. Thanks so much for having a true cover of this w/no lead guitar and (no vocals except for mine now in my vid). Now I know that when it's a lesson that sometimes the guy plays it the whole way through w/no break.
My tips on this song- try using your middle finger to play the base low G note & then just bar the two middle notes with your ring finger, then on the chord changes use the same position just slide up the neck- whatever works best for you
perfect job Dude. Ive got it down.... Now if only I can get my drummer to sing Dusty's parts with some aesthetics. He wants to sing a song so badly...and he does this one ....so badly!
Pretty good but these chords are all minor. Leave the 3rds out of C&D especially. C chord is c, d#, bflat,d#. Kind of a stretch. Same for D. I leave off the b string d flat and only toss it in from time to time. The G chord is g, bflat, f, bflat. If you feel lazy, g and bflat will give the minor key sound needed. Not being critical, just adding some things I've learned. Billy is tough to duplicate and errant minors are usually why. I love your sound and that LP Gold Top.
+Terry Bartak I was actually inspired to do this cover from watching someone else's cover of it. That video has long since been removed. I wasn't trying to duplicate/clone anyone. Just my take on it.
Ya don't suppose this song might be in G minor do ya? Since the Bb note is totally dominate in every lick and G chord riff? Sounds like G minor to me . Then you use a C#9 chord and a D#9 chord for the 4th and 5th chord of the scale, Are you sure the 4th and 5th chord have a major 3rd? They might be minor 7th chords. Listen very closely to the original recording. All you rockers should learn a little basic music theory along the way. It's not hard ,so do it.
Great lesson 👍. Thank you.
who in their right mind dislikes this! 6 from 12,861 are mental. This should be the 1s riff anyone ever learns - fact!
Love the Fender strap and Gibson guitar. That Les Paul has an amazing tone!
It's an Epiphone

Man I have been wanting to play this the right way or learn! Good share ..... Love your guitar!
Thank you. I always knew the 4 and 5 was the 'Hendrix style chord
Always used that in the E position for stuff like Purple Haze and Born to Be Wild in cover bands.
More zztop please!😎

Chords are Gm7, C7 and D7
I do like the g pentatonic soloing.
I meant to say "I leave off the b string D sharp". Sorry.
do you have tab? or where did you get the tab from ,also the back track?awesome !!!
sweet
😮
With my can of dinner!!!!
take that Fender strap off of that Gibson!
You need to hit that low E more in between ....
Is that an Epi or Gibby?
EPI
Not bad but those P-90s are a bit too "creamy" for this type of music. 490s, PAFs or Burstbuckers would be better.
"Get down"
Close .
